Results starting in around 20 minutes or so 16 of you gave all 14 CHVRCHES singles a score from -11 to 11. But how have your personal scores fared with the majority average? here's the list of singles for reference:
And here's some stats before the first few songs are posted:

So excited for these results!
Surely 'The Mother We Share' will be top?! Hoping for 'Gun' and 'Lies' up high too because their debut album really was fantastic. I'm expecting something from the second album up high though, perhaps 'Clearest Blue' - that seemed to be popular. |

#14. Warning Call
Average: 6.85 Rated by: 17 Sleeping tight in a new light: Spadz (10), 360Jupiter (9.5), DalekTurret32 (9) Never returning to closing doors: Klaus (3), Tawdry Hepburn, Rabbit Foot, Seven Sees (5) Ouch. One of my 10s at the bottom of the heap Can't really criticise it personally. Perhaps everyone else's ears don't get the hype or maybe it was better suited as an album only track. It was actually their second to last single so far behind Bury It, from the extended edition of Every Open Eye. It was also written for the video game Mirror's Edge Catalyst. The only chart it made impact on was something called 'JPN Air' where it reached #51. #13. Under The Tide Average: 6.97 Rated by: 18 Filling in your lungs: 360Jupiter, DalekTurret32 (9.5), lewistgreen (9) What a lie: Rabbit Foot (3), Tawdry Heburn (5) Not really surprised to see this so low here. Instead of the usual vocals from Lauren, Martin steps in to sing on the track. As far as I'm aware the only other track he has sung on is You Caught The Light, also on their debut album, The Bones of What You Believe. This is also the only song to have recieved no 10s from anyone |

Yeah, Lauren is a big reason why I love this band so much so it's tough to enjoy the songs as much when she's not the vocalist. Under the Tide is actually quite a nice track but it doesn't have the same magic that Lauren brings to the table

#12. Tether (vs. Eric Prydz)
Average: 7.25 Rated by: 18 There by my side: Chez Wombat, Spadz (10), Jonjo, DalekTurret32, SevenSees (9) We don't have a prayer: Iz, Klaus (5), Josh, Dircadirca (5.5) A lot of people gave this a middling score due to how they prefer the original, non-Eric Prydz remixed version. I actually prefer the remixed one, or at least from the bridge onwards as that part sounds very similar anyway (typical dance loon ) It'd be interesting to see how the original Tether would have done in this rate if it was included It was released as a non-album single, peaking seven places below the top 100 of the UK chart. #11. We Sink Average: 7.86 Rated by: 18 You made me: Harry Ezra (11), DalekTurret32, SevenSees (10), 360Jupiter, Josh, Klaus (9) A pretty box of your evil: Tawdry, Tyler, Iz (6) Another song I thought maybe should have been left as an album track as it's not as strong as their other singles I thought, We Sink is taken from The Bones of What You Believe as their fifth single from said album/overall. This is also the lowest finisher to receive an 11. Sorry Harry! This post has been edited by Spynz Munich: 1st August 2017, 05:17 PM |

I did anticipate a lot of my high-pointers wouldn't be the overall popular ones.
I believe it's Martin's vocal also on High Enough To Carry You Over from their second album. |

#10. Get Away
Average: 7.94 Rated by: 18 I'll be your guide: Harry, Klaus (10), Jonjo, DalekTurret32 (9.5), lewistgreen (9) No one else will save you: Rabbit Foot (3), Dircadirca (6) Had to drop this slightly because I'm not a fan of the beginning vocals as they're a tad annoying That aside, I think this song finished at a good position in these results. It was released before the Tether remix and was also not included on an album. It scored a peak of #24 in Scotland, the band's native country, and #52 in the official UK chart. #9. Never Ending Circles Average: 8.19 Rated by: 18 Taking what you came for: Rabbit Foot (11), Lindsey, DalekTurret32, SevenSees (10), Spadz (9) You know I'll leave: -none- Everyone gave NEC a 7 or above, and it is also the lowest finishing single from the album Every Open Eye. I think the production is very Bury It and I think Lauren's vocals sound quite cute in this one This post has been edited by Spynz Munich: 1st August 2017, 06:13 PM |

I still love that version of Tether, the original's good too but this keeps the semblance of that but adds more of a punch, they work very well as two separate songs in my view.
Get Away hasn't aged that well, I did like it at the time though. Mother We Share needs to win, and hopefully Empty Threat and Recover to do as well as possible. This post has been edited by Chez Wombat: 1st August 2017, 05:30 PM |

#8. Bury It (feat. Hayley Williams)
Average: 8.11 Rated by: 18 Rising above: Lindsey, Tyler (11), lewistgreen, Harry Ezra, King Rollo, Tyler (10), Staying buried: Rabbit Foot (-1), Klaus (6) Bury It is already a year or so old! As well as their most recent single and if we're lucky we'll get some fresh CHVRCHES later in the year or next year. Hayley Williams from Paramore is invited onto the track and provides vocals on the second verse. Both Hayley and Lauren's vocals work so well in here and the cartoon video was done brilliantly; I do hope they collab again in the future We have Rabbit Foot to blame for this finishing so low as he used his available -1 on it otherwise the song would have been a few places higher. #7. Recover Average: 8.41 Rated by: 18 I've got the answer: DalekTurret (11), Chez Wombat (10), Spadz (9.5), lots of people (9) We can just leave it here: Tawdry Hepburn (5) That chorus luvv. It was nearly a 10 for me for just that. Sad to see it miss top 5 but it's done well despite a few 7s and 7.5s. This post has been edited by Spynz Munich: 1st August 2017, 06:16 PM |

#6. Empty Threat Average: 8.52 Rated by: 18 Nothing to regret: Spadz, Iz (11), Chez Wombat (10), Lindsey, DalekTurret32 (9.5), 360Jupiter, Johnkm (9) Nothing to prove: Rabbit Foot (6) omg this song is just SO FUN feel good pop throughout imo, despite myself and Iz who donating our 11s to it it just misses the top 5 . It was released as the last Every Open Eye single, but made zero presence in the UK chart. Goddamit British public! #5. Lies Average: 8.38 Rated by: 18 Feeling faith: Tawdry Hepburn (11), Jonjo, lewistgreen, 360Jupiter, Josh, Klaus (10), DalekTurret32 (9.5), Johnkm, Lindsey (9) Fall down in front of me: SevenSees (6) Didn't enjoy this one as much as everyone else did it seems I think I prefer the songs where everything is a little more higher spirited or rather, higher pitched. It's taken from The Bones of What You Believe and peaked two places higher than Tether i.e. #105 on the UK Chart This post has been edited by Spynz Munich: 1st August 2017, 06:16 PM |

A few songs have now been corrected to their right placings. specifically Lies being now boosted up two places to top 5 *.*
Final reveal tonight and I will leave the top 3 for tomorrow #4. Gun Average: 8.66 Rated by: 18 Learning your lesson: Dircadirca (11), Jonjo, Josh, Iz (10), 360Jupiter, Spadz, DalekTurret32 (9.5), Chez Wombat, Klaus, SevenSees (9) Broken down: lewistgreen, Tawdry Hepburn (7) The third ever single and it comes from TBOWYB. It reached #55 on the UK chart. The lyrics and bass-y production make this quite the bop The Holy Trilogy: Clearest Blue Vs Leave A Trace Vs The Mother We Share |

I've always had a soft spot for We Sink as it was the first track I really took notice of them and then went on to discover their other great songs afterwards - I was a bit late to the game on CHVRCHES but I remember spamming Gun and Lies when I first seeked them out not long after first hearing and loving We Sink (gutted about these two not making the top four, they're both phenomenal tracks!). Recover was my immediate favourite but these have stood the test of time better for me.
I don't really get Clearest Blue to be honest, it's a bit nothingy for me and it goes nowhere - I vastly prefer Leave A Trace which I'm pleased and shocked has made it this high! |

Glad Leave a Trace is so high. I'm with Josh on Clearest Blue, of their discography that would be down my lower end, nothing really to distinguish it from a lot of their similar songs, doesn't do anything a little different like e.g. Empty Threat or Bury It.
