I was hoping she'd have pushed Honeymoon a bit more before so quickly moving on, as it was a gorgeous album, but I'm excited to see what she's bringing. It's be nice to hear some more radio-friendly stuff from her.

Aw my favourite Lana album is 'Honeymoon', and looks like that's the one this one will be least like! I'm sure she'll deliver something enjoyable for my ears anyways I just really like the dreamy element of her music, I'm sure that won't have disappeared completely for this album tho, there'll probably just be much less of it, which isn't a problem, really.

She's not keen on long album campaigns if the last two are anything to go by! In fact, did they even have a campaign in the first place?

Born to Die is one of my favourite albums but the succeeding two have been largely disappointing. Being creative and less commercial is fine but those two were kinda pretentious and with no hooks or pop appeal etc., just leaving the whole thing falling flat and bland. I'm hoping "more upbeat and less dreamy" is a sign she's returning to the Born to Die sound.

Yeah, I love Born to Die, but her critical reception has improved with every album. Honeymoon is by far her most well received album.

Born To Die was a fantastic album, and the Paradise re-release was also so good. I really enjoy tracks from Ultraviolence, but as an album, I think I appreciate Honeymoon more. Highlights from her albums so far for me have been most of Born To Die, 'Ride', 'Gods and Monsters', 'West Coast', 'Ultraviolence'(the song), 'Florida Keys', 'Music To Watch Boys To', 'High By The Beach', 'Art Deco' and 'The Blackest Day'. There are more I like too but these are probably the highlighs.

I love this! Between Ultraviolence and Honeymoon I think the only track I liked was Brooklyn Baby oops, this is defintiely a return to form They may as well just rush it out now as it's leaked, if it was like Wednesday they may as well leave it but it's more or less a whole week of it being out there leaked but not available to buy or stream!

There's no way the label will allow her to scrap an album and video they've put resources into for no reason other than a leak. The online reaction has been mostly very positive as well, so they'd be mad to scrap it.

Oh WOW now I heard the Born To Die comparisons. Definitely up there as one of her best.

I'm actually impressed at how versatile her aesthetic seems to be. Born To Die is more typical indie, Ultraviolence was more film noir, Honeymoon was more 50's Hollywood, and this is looking like the aesthetic is more of a 60's drive-in movie

What is all this best since West Coast shade?!? Ultraviolence closely followed by Honeymoon are her best albums imo and so many great tracks like Shades of Cool, Florida Kilos, Brooklyn Baby, Old Money etc, so much great stuff!

I really like this though on the first listens and am so excited for her album if it's even half as good as her other albums. I know everyone adores Ride but it's not one of my faves (I prefer Gods & Monsters from Paradise).

Lotti, remember those tracks that leaked a couple months ago that were terrific! Will those be on the upcoming album, I'm hoping?

I love all of her albums, minus Honeymoon which has a brilliant lead single and MTWBT. I'm hoping this will be more consistent and effective in telling a story like 'Born to Die', 'Paradise' and 'Ultraviolence' did. I would like to class paradise with born to die, but I need to cite it to showcase my true holy Lana trinity.

As much as I'd love a Lana forum I don't think the board is even accepting forum requests until the update.

I do enjoy that in the genre forums you get a wider audience commenting on things. Anyways, imma rate her lead singles:

01. Ride (11/10)
02. High By The Beach (10/10)
03. Video Games (10/10)
04. Love (9/10)
05. West Coast (9/10)

I love her entire discography (minus honeymoon), so had to show how close they are in scoring. West Coast was a solid 5/5 when it debuted, but it has slowly but consistently grown throughout the years. I think I've grown to appreciate the theme a bit more.

Maybe that's what made me realize its beauty.

Pretty sure I bonded with it while learning to wake board 2 years ago, it really matched the mood of nailing a jump (when it goes back to a normal pace after the dreamy chorus) and then pounding the back of your head so hard against the water you drift out...
