JANUARY 03, 2016
installment 001.
Welcome to ketalina daily - a chronological look at my new dance discovery of the day. This could include big banger tracks with an already existing topic in the forum, forgotten classics or maybe a couple of alternative dance tracks / remixes not worthy of their own topics but definitely worth a listen.
The Six 'Don't Go Running (Tobtok Remix)'
Tobtok are someone that I'm not actively a fan of, but this amazing remix absolutely ELEVATES the original into an absolute stomping banger.
I haven't checked out this remix before, sounding great of course you know I love the original too.
looking forward to your future picks!
Kettle vs Dan daily
I love the orginal of this not heard this yet
Excellent!
I liked Dan's idea when I saw it being posted but (if I'm honest) his tastes can differ somewhat to my own so it's good to have two variants on the thread idea that will likely cater for slightly different audiences and styles.
(Also, the idea posted above is a good one too, keep a log of Buzzjack's dance discoveries of the week winners)
dandy that's exactly why i've done it - i expect dan's to get much more attention but i find that my tastes really differ and brings to the dance forum what he doesn't so HOPEFULLY it means i don't detract, more just add to what he's doing

This could include big banger tracks with an already existing topic in the forum, forgotten classics or maybe a couple of alternative dance tracks / remixes not worthy of their own topics but definitely worth a listen.
Bojac 'Hookah'
Heldeep-issued Bojac's 'Hookah' is grimy as hell, addictive and dirty to the bone. An absolute dancefloor stormer, I DARE you not to be charmed at least a little bit by that wonky bassline.

Welcome to ketalina daily - a chronological look at my new dance discovery of the day. Zonderling (feat. BISHØP) 'Crazy For You'
Spinnin' Records have introduced this absolute BANGER which I've been obsessed with for a couple of weeks now - Zonderling are known for their off-beat rhythms and powerful synth loops so check out all of their stuff if you're loving this.
JANUARY 06, 2016
installment 004.
Arca 'Urchin'
Arca is an electronic menace - creating jarring soundscapes to cause feelings of anxiety and rushing thoughts, and this track is no different. When you catch up to the glitching beat, it breaks into barely there vocal samples and a soft piano line reminiscent of that famous classical piece you can't put your finger on. Was released as a freebie at the tail end of January, grab it https://soundcloud.com/arca1000000/urchin.
This list so far <3
JANUARY 07, 2016
installment 005.
Studio Killers 'Jenny'
Cartoon dance outfit Studio Killers released this jam in 2013, but only over the last month has it managed to get its own video, following lead singer Cherry as she struggles with falling for a close friend. An absolute French-tinged dance jam, it's light, fluffy and fun. What else could you want?!
I was gonna say "They're back? How was I not aware of this?"
JANUARY 08, 2016
installment 006.
Dusky 'Skin Deep'
One of my faves Dusky followed up 'Yoohoo' with this soft sultry house BANGER, taking their bass-heavy sound and warped vocal samples and combined it with one of the best music videos I've ever seen. I fall more into their spell with each release they put out.
JANUARY 09, 2016
installment 007.
The Aston Shuffle 'High With You'
The Aston Shuffle return with their first cut on The Magician's Potion imprint, with the absolutely thrashing 'High With You'. The guys know how to layer on the vibes and build-ups to explode into an infectious chorus - total ear candy.
thirsty for these sick jamz kettles~
OMG The Aston Shuffle song hits hard!!! great find there.
JANUARY 10, 2016
installment 008.
Set Mo (feat. ALPHAMAMA) 'Chasing Forever'
Slinky and seductive doesn't even COVER this absolute beauty. Combining the silky vocal stylings of ALPHAMAMA, Set Mo give a laidback vibe that's ready to see you through till the sunrise.
JANUARY 11, 2016
installment 009.
VALY MO 'Let Me Tell You'
VALY MO is giving us a strong Tchami-ish banger with this, with cut up vocal samples and a dark middle breakdown, eerie and satisfying.
JANUARY 12, 2016
installment 010.
MORTEN (feat. Frida Sundemo) 'Beautiful Heartbeat (RAC Mix)'
RAC switch up their usual to spice up Scandinavian duet delight 'Beautiful Heartbeat' to give it a pulsing yet twinkly rhythm to match a dancing heartbeat. Wonderful!
JANUARY 13, 2016
installment 011.
Kyau & Albert 'Bend Girl'
Amazing stuff taken from Above & Beyond's Anjunabeats sampler.
JANUARY 14, 2016
installment 012.
Goldroom (feat. Ren Farren) 'Waiting To Ignite'
Goldroom has made some of the catchiest dance cuts of the last few years and this is absolutely no exception. Disco-tinged, with a great pre-chorus breakdown from Ren Farren, you'll have this in your head all day, trust.
JANUARY 15, 2016
installment 013.
Evian Christ 'Wardub'
Evian Christ's underrated style sees 'Wardub''s mechanical nailgun beat cuts through some eerie steel drums, the contrast of harsh and harrowing with soft and floating grabbing instant attention from anyone who should listen.
JANUARY 16, 2016
installment 014.
XXYYXX 'DMT (Sidewalks & Skeletons Remix)'
Sidewalks & Skeletons is becoming a complete favourite of mine, putting his witch-house vibes all over the chilled-out dance beats of XXYYXX for a powerful combination.
JANUARY 17, 2016
installment 015.
Redlight (feat. Andrea Martin) 'W.T.L'
Redlight follows up the ASTONISHING 'Threshold' with this gorgeous string and dance fusion which is becoming a definite trend that I can definitely get on board with. Discuss X Colour http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=181283.
JANUARY 18, 2016
installment 016.
Alex Newell 'This Ain't Over'
YAAAAAAAAAS. Alex Newell ONCE AGAIN proves that he's the brand new dance diva we all need for 2016. This absolute JOY of a song follows an already strong back catalogue of appearances, features and output, and I personally cannot WAIT for ha album. Discuss the track http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=185979.
JANUARY 19, 2016
installment 017.
Laura Welsh 'Cold Front (Russ Chimes Remix)'
A bit of an old one here... one I've rediscovered that combines the gorgeous songwriter stylings of Laura Welsh with the catchy beats of Russ Chimes to deliver something slinky, smooth and addictive. Not a bad time to have that on the brain!
JANUARY 20, 2016
installment 018.
Mike Posner 'I Took A Pill In Ibiza (SeeB Remix)'
To say that this song took me by surprise is an understatement. After DELIBERATELY avoiding this due to the fact that I can't usually abide that wishy-washy tropical sound, I listened to it once and was absolutely hooked! It gives major Kygo and 'Lean On' vibes and will hopefully be a BIG hit in the coming year. Discuss this http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=184030.
JANUARY 21, 2016
installment 019.
When 5am 'Red'
Now THIS is the definition of lush! Unfortunately there's only a short sample available for listening but this absolute beauty of a track twinkles along at the smoothest pace, feeling warm and radiating good vibes. Utterly addictive!
JANUARY 22, 2016
installment 020.
Sinden 'Like Smoke'
Sinden is one of those big names in dance music that's now part of the furniture, always evolving and always bringing it. This one's twisted with sweet synths coming through from underneath to give something completely 3am and club ready.
JANUARY 23, 2016
installment 021.
Lost Kings / Katelyn Tarver 'You'
Okay everyone KNOWS I'm obsessed with this and have been for two months but it's just got its own adorable video, so it HAS TO BE DONE. Talk about it http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=184300.

installment 025.
Little Boots 'No Pressure (Toyboy & Robin Remix)'
Little Boots was a favourite but hasn't put out a proper banger in a MINUTE, but this Toyboy & Robin switchup has me GROOVING for sure. Another big production from the boys.
JANUARY 28, 2016
installment 026.
Vato Gonzalez 'Push Riddim'
Switch up the Badman to a 'push-and-pull' riddim and you have this banger which might take a minute to go in, sure you have your typical vocal layerings on the top but underneath is a rough club grumble - addictive is the WORD.
JANUARY 29, 2016
installment 027.
BITWVLF 'Bound Blade (Sidewalks & Skeletons Remix)'
Another one from Sidewalks & Skeletons! Merging with clips from the Snow White & The Huntsman movie, this fanmade video rekindled my love for this track which was one of my favourites of last year. Absolutely BRUTAL bassline.
JANUARY 30, 2016
installment 028.
Ryan Hemsworth (feat. Kotomi & DOSS) 'Surrounded'
A slow banger from Ryan Hemsworth who streamlined his 'everything-but-the-iamspamspamamisink' aesthetic to bring us something subtle, subdued and slinky. LOVE.
JANUARY 31, 2016
installment 029.

FEBRUARY 01, 2016
installment 030.

A cheeky lil banger from L D R U who has been blowing up Triple J playlists in Australia. Trap influenced candy beats can never be a bad thing, right???
FEBRUARY 02, 2016
installment 031.
Jade Blue 'How To See'
Something SO NEW from Jade Blue that there's no official HQ streaming available at the moment! It may be a radio rip but even this Radio 1 clip completely shows how capable this lady is of producing a banger.

FEBRUARY 03, 2016
installment 032.

FEBRUARY 04, 2016
installment 033.
Toyboy & Robin (feat. Gyptian & L Marshall) 'Borrowed'
Toyboy & Robin fuse dancehall vocal stylings with a turn of the millenium garage sound to bring 'Borrowed' - not their best by any means but in a VERY strong back catalogue that's not a bad thing. Definitely worth four minutes of your day.
FEBRUARY 05, 2016
installment 034.
MssingNo 'Scope'
The SECOND installment for MssingNo this year so far - the first single from his brand new EP 'Fones'. It really is quintessential MssingNo - tortured, warped vocals and a grumbling, unforgiving beat. I'm hooked!
FEBRUARY 06, 2016
installment 035.
Jordan F (feat. Dana Jane Phoenix) 'Mesmerized'
This synthy dance hybrid from Jordan F is catchy and seductive to the max, mostly thanks to a great vocal turn from Dana Jane Phoenix who lends her name to a multitude of 80's inspired throwbacks - she's one to watch out for.
FEBRUARY 07, 2016
installment 036.
Oliver Smith 'Your Love'
This is a BANGER. How do you mix up trance and house and make it sound so damn good?! Well Oliver definitely knows. I'm HOOKED on this!
FEBRUARY 08, 2016
installment 037.
Club cheval 'Young Rich And Radical'
The supergroup of Syd, Panteros666, Sam Tiba and Canblaster [Club cheval] present 'Young Rich And Radical', which follows up the arresting 'Discipline' to give more The Weeknd-esque dancefloor destruction. These guys are GOOD.
FEBRUARY 09, 2016
installment 038.
Motez (feat. Tkay Maidza) 'Down Like This'
Tkay Maidza, a promising rapstress who is making waves by releasing great track after great track gives us a hiphop / dance fusion (I mean, automatically I can't say no) with Motez to create a club SMASHER. Sweet.

FEBRUARY 11, 2016
installment 040.
Eric Arbores x DJ Fresh 'Elevator'
Double DJ Fresh! Despite having a bit of a clanger of a breakdown, the irresistable verse melodies with the 'up, down, elevator' hook is too infectious to ignore.
Discuss 'Elevator' http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=187179.
Absolutely adore that Philip George Remix of DJ Fresh!

FEBRUARY 14, 2016

'Fantasea Two: The Second Wave' is a no-holds-barred throw to the Azealia we love. Discuss the mixtape http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=175699.
