OK, composers, the concert hall is open! Please take your seats and prepare for the main show starting very soon We have a winner and wow this one was a close call. So speculate: Who sent what? Who has won? Who has finished last with 5 points? Will I come across convincing in my knowledge of classical music and composers at all? I think we know the answer to one of those, but speculate on! Starting momentarily~ |

I have no idea how my entry will do. It didn't stand out anywhere near as much as I thought it may do but I'm glad I found it |

Frederic Chopin / Ivan Torrent ft. Irene Rodríguez - Skyborn
Frederic Chopin was one of the most renowned pianists of Romantic era, best known for his solo pieces for Piano and piano concerti, he was ranked as one of the greatest poets of tone and his vast imagination ands craftsmanship in his works, particularly that of Nocturne Op.9 No.2. Now along with new mentor NocheLuna, he seems to have ditched piano for cinematic strings. QUOTE Hello! Here are my votes: 01p | Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio 02p | Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 03p | Edgar Hopp - A True Hero 04p | Lucine Fyelon - Showtime 05p | Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 06p | Etherwood - Hold Your Breath 07p | Party Pupils, MAX ft. Alna - Lonelier 08p | Archaellum - Reflections 10p | Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them 12p | Nils Frahm - Says Buena suerte 12; Robert Schumann / Nils Frahm - Says 10; Joseph Haydn / Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them 08; John Williams / Archaellum - Reflections 07; Richard Strauss / Party Pupils, MAX ft. Alna - Lonelier 06; Johann Brahms / Etherwood - Hold Your Breath 05; George Friedric Handel / Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 04; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart / Lucine Fyelon - Showtime 03; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero 02; Franz Schubert / Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 01; Richard Wagner / Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio So our early bird voter and first leader of the night is Robert Schumann with Nils Frahm, not much to tell from these early votes, but how similar will they be come by the end of the night and how will NocheLuna's own entry do? Next to perform is one of the songs on the board now...Richard Wagner |

Richard Wagner / Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio
Richard Wagner was a highly influential dramatic composer with huge scaled operas and music such as the Flying Dutchman, Tannhauser and The Ring of the Nibelung. Best example being the soaring, dramatic Ride of the Valkyries which you may remember from Apocalypse Now, he was pretty problematic if you look into his views but let's just focus on the music x Thanks to the advice of awardinary, He now seems to have taken a new tact - drums and trance to create something almost as epic. QUOTE Hey Chez, thanks for hosting this contest, and choosing this theme that I struggled to match to, although, I’m sort of glad my entry was different! Here’s my votes: +12 Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners – Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) +10 Nils Frahm – Says +8 Klingande – Punga +7 Christopher von Deylen – Infinity +6 Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink – Fields of Forever +5 Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine – Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) +4 A.R.D.I. – Army of Angels +3 Lucine Fyelon – Showtime +2 Dam Swindle – Coffee in the Morning +1 Keeno – Cosmic Creeper 22; Robert Schumann / Nils Frahm - Says 14; Franz Schubert / Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 10; Joseph Haydn / Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them 08; John Williams / Archaellum - Reflections 08; Claude Debussy / Klingande - Punga 07; Richard Strauss / Party Pupils, MAX ft. Alna - Lonelier 07; Ludwig Van Beethoven / Christopher von Deylen - Infinity 07; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart / Lucine Fyelon - Showtime 06; Johann Brahms / Etherwood - Hold Your Breath 06; Igor Stravinsky / Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 06; George Friedric Handel / Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 05; Claudio Monteverdi / Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) 04; Johann Sebastian Bach / A.R.D.I. - Army of Angels 03; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero 02; Giuseppe Verdi / Dam Swindle - Coffee in the Morning 01; Richard Wagner / Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio (awardinary) It's another pretty good start for Schumann as another top 2 score solidifies their lead further, Mike Foyle manages to climb higher with a 12 and a handful of songs enter the scoreboard leaving six songs still to arrive. Next to perform and unmask...Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart |

Noche providing our bootleg Two Steps From Hell in this contest then! (a little surprised no one tried to actually send them tbh )
Spoilers for my votes (I think they'll be up quite early anyway) but that was one of the few that just missed out for me but would have liked to slot in, could see it doing fairly well anyway though. |

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart / Lucine Fyelon - Showtime
The jack of all trades in classical music, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is widely recognised as one of the greatest composers of all time from the high flying Viennese classical school and wrote and composed in almost all genres of his day from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik to Requiem Lacrimosa. His taste, his command of form, and his range of expression have made him seem the most universal of all composers; yet, it may also be said that his music was written to accommodate the specific tastes of particular audiences. In suitably eclectic form, he has taken to his entrant playing a violin frantically on a beach, thanks to advice from Lindsey Stirling, oh I mean, Jade x QUOTE 12 Ivan Torrent feat. Irene Rodríguez - Skyborn 10 Nils Frahm - Says 08 Venetian Snares - Második Galamb 07 Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 06 Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 05 Archaellum - Reflections 04 Christopher von Deylen - Infinity 03 Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 02 Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them 01 Justin Martin - Don't Go 32; Robert Schumann / Nils Frahm - Says 17; Franz Schubert / Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 13; John Williams / Archaellum - Reflections 13; Igor Stravinsky / Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 12; George Friedric Handel / Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 12; Frederic Chopin / Ivan Torrent ft. Irene Rodríguez - Skyborn (NocheLuna) 12; Joseph Haydn / Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them 11; Ludwig Van Beethoven / Christopher von Deylen - Infinity 08; Claude Debussy / Klingande - Punga 08; Camille Saint-Saëns / Venetian Snares - Második Galamb 07; Richard Strauss / Party Pupils, MAX ft. Alna - Lonelier 07; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart / Lucine Fyelon - Showtime (Jade) 06; Johann Brahms / Etherwood - Hold Your Breath 05; Claudio Monteverdi / Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) 04; Johann Sebastian Bach / A.R.D.I. - Army of Angels 03; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero 02; Giuseppe Verdi / Dam Swindle - Coffee in the Morning 01; Richard Wagner / Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio (awardinary) 01; Hildegard Von Bingen / Justin Martin - Don't Go Well, this is certainly as good a start as you can ask for as Schumann's lead is now fifteen points, a sign of things to come or just a very good start? Only Mike Foyle is somewhat close behind, Jade's entry herself has gotten off to a decent start and NocheLuna enters the scoreboard in style. Next to perform...Johanne Braums |

Jade serving us the follow-up we deserved to 'Crystallize' by Lindsey Stirling (not that Lindsey hasn't had other good songs but she never had any others that hit in the same way that did).

Johanne Brahms / Etherwood - Hold Your Breath
A quite hefty back catalogue, Johannes Braums wrote symphonies, concerti, chamber music, piano works, choral compositions, and more than 200 songs in the Romantic period. He was a master of the symphonic and sonata style and along with Beethoven, Mozart and Haydn, was a crucial part of the norms of classical music being questioned. You may know him best for his Hungarian Dance suite. He has taken his pianist skills and combined it with modern day drum'n'bass for this unusually subtle piece recommended by lewistgreen. QUOTE 12 points: Christopher von Deylen - Infinity 10 points: Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 8 points: Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio 7 points: Barcode Brothers - Flute 6 points: A.R.D.I. - Army Of Angels 5 points: Justin Martin - Don't Go 4 points: Jacoo - The Moments We Had (I Miss Them) 3 points: Archaellum - Reflections 2 points: Venetian Snares - Második Galamb 1 point: Lucine Fyelon - Showtime 32; Robert Schumann / Nils Frahm - Says 23; Ludwig Van Beethoven / Christopher von Deylen - Infinity 22; George Friedric Handel / Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 17; Franz Schubert / Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 16; Joseph Haydn / Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them 16; John Williams / Archaellum - Reflections 13; Igor Stravinsky / Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 12; Frederic Chopin / Ivan Torrent ft. Irene Rodríguez - Skyborn (NocheLuna) 10; Camille Saint-Saëns / Venetian Snares - Második Galamb 10; Johann Sebastian Bach / A.R.D.I. - Army of Angels 09; Richard Wagner / Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio (awardinary) 08; Claude Debussy / Klingande - Punga 08; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart / Lucine Fyelon - Showtime (Jade) 07; Richard Strauss / Party Pupils, MAX ft. Alna - Lonelier 07; Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky / Barcode Brothers - Flute 06; Johann Brahms / Etherwood - Hold Your Breath (lewistgreen) 06; Hildegard Von Bingen / Justin Martin - Don't Go 05; Claudio Monteverdi / Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) 03; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero 02; Giuseppe Verdi / Dam Swindle - Coffee in the Morning We finally see some semblance of competition now as Nils Frahm gets nothing, it does allow some of the other piano tracks from Keeno and Christoper von Deylen to catch up, lewis himself hasn't got the best start but maybe the fans are still to come? xo Speaking of him, let's unmask our next performer...Ludwig Van Beethoven |

Second time I've sent Etherwood to a Buzzjack contest, the first time being in my third ever BJSC in 2015. Was glad I could show Hold Your Breath to you all in some manner as I had pegged it for the D&B contest a few years back but decided against it.

Ludwig Van Beethoven / Christopher von Deylen - Infinity
Someone that probably needs no introduction, Beethoven was one of the key figures in the transition from Classical to Romantic period. He widened the scope of many musical forms, innovated with merging of classical and vocals in his Ninth Symphony, and his music was unique in conveying the vast emotions of the human spirit conveyed solely through music. His deafness did not stop him composing some of his most important works, and though he still maintains that, he has taken to the piano for this atmospheric, pretty piece advised by Addy!, will he still be at these heights today? ;o QUOTE 12; Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 10; Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) 08; Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them 07; Lucine Fyelon - Showtime 06; Barcode Brothers - Flute 05; Justin Martin - Don't Go 04; Ivan Torrent ft. Irene Rodríguez - Skyborn 03; Jeff van Dyck - Medieval Total War Soundtrack: Arab Battle 1 02; Nils Frahm - Says 01; Etherwood - Hold Your Breath 34; Robert Schumann / Nils Frahm - Says 29; Franz Schubert / Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 24; Joseph Haydn / Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them 23; Ludwig Van Beethoven / Christopher von Deylen - Infinity (Addy!) 22; George Friedric Handel / Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 16; John Williams / Archaellum - Reflections 16; Frederic Chopin / Ivan Torrent ft. Irene Rodríguez - Skyborn (NocheLuna) 15; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart / Lucine Fyelon - Showtime (Jade) 15; Claudio Monteverdi / Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) 13; Igor Stravinsky / Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 13; Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky / Barcode Brothers - Flute 11; Hildegard Von Bingen / Justin Martin - Don't Go 10; Camille Saint-Saëns / Venetian Snares - Második Galamb 10; Johann Sebastian Bach / A.R.D.I. - Army of Angels 09; Richard Wagner / Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio (awardinary) 08; Claude Debussy / Klingande - Punga 07; Richard Strauss / Party Pupils, MAX ft. Alna - Lonelier 07; Johann Brahms / Etherwood - Hold Your Breath (lewistgreen) 03; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero 03; Antonio Vivaldi / Jeff van Dyck - Medieval Total War Soundtrack: Arab Battle 1 02; Giuseppe Verdi / Dam Swindle - Coffee in the Morning That lead is getting ever smaller, a 12 to the contending 'Schu' puts it just five points behind though Nils Frahm still gets something to stay there, Jacoo is not miles away either. Addy himself has gotten off to a great start, but will it last? Jeff Van Dyck enters the scoreboard, the path to victory it deserves? Next to perform, our youngest composer...John Williams |
