Looking at the Deal it seems worse than May's Deal. I do think in the end it will come down to the Labour voting MPs in their areas. Right now it's touch and go but there's what, about 36 hours to convince people? I think it might happen, by the skin of the teeth. Problem is the Deal itself goes against Labour values so imo it's short sighted to vote for the Deal- leaves the UK with coordinated chaos, but the Ireland member state should be OK. Ironic that May's deal was voted down what, three times then if this goes through. |

You know this is a monumentally shite deal when even Nigel Farage has stopped talking about No Deal and is begging for an extension and a general election to get rid of it I think it's in Farages interests politically to say that thoigh. In a GE with a deal the BP will be wiped out and likely never return. |

Ironic that May's deal was voted down what, three times then if this goes through. Which just tells you that people didn't know what they were voting for and they are not actually bothered about the DUP/Northern Ireland at all as most people rightly predicted. The fact the hardcores in the Tories will vote for it just shows you they are dimwits, yet yourself and millions of other people will continue to lap their shit up. |

In terms of NI the vote in 4 years time is just like the Council of Ireland in 1925 which was added to the Government of Ireland act in 1920 to try and say they would look at the border issue 5 years later and change it if agreed. Of course this never happened or never was agreed. So British PMs have a history of doing this - we all know what happened to ni 50 years later!

"Understand Labour MPs will NOT lose whip if they back PM's deal on Saturday." Newsnight saying up to 50 Labour MP's may support Boris now they know they won't lose the whip. That's excellent news. This post has been edited by Freddie Kruger: Oct 17 2019, 10:08 PM |

I'll be closing this shortly as the thread has hit 100 pages, maybe that might be an omen for a deal to be passed by Parliament and the country moving on..
From what I've seen it looks like the DUP will hold the balance of power and that the deal may fail to pass 321 to 318, but it could easily go the other way if a few Labour MPs relent and support it. |

Soo basically the ERG voted against Mad May's deal just to get one of their own into power? Lol. Brexshit really is just an internal Tory civil war farce.

The Scots are annoying me on QT. "We didn't vote for this" Excuse me but Scotland voted to remain part of the UK and in 2016 the UK AS A WHOLE voted to Leave the EU. So tough.

The good news is: if this Tory shit passes, we can all move to an indeoendent Scotland. It's still the same island. The culture's basically the same. The cities and towns and countryside look familiar to anyone in the north east/ Cumbria, so it wouldn't even be that big of a change.

Last time the Scots wanted to stay in the UK and may still do next time. |
