I think the US has funny rules that means all the streams for their singles count towards their album total including any streams acquired before the album was released, which is probably why it's certified Gold already despite a really low peak.

I can’t imagine it’s too hard to get those figures in the US anyway considering their population is more than 4 times ours

This is true take cardi b last year, album went gold after 1 day due to singles released before hand

nobody is buying albums in the US, anything count towards the album charts
downloads and streams of any album tracks, concert tickets, anything biggrin.gif
