Gazelle Twin is a fabulous choice *.*
(o also Gypsy & The Cat has been continuing to grow on me since the contest, probably shoulda given it a few more points. Liking the sound of Bayonne quite a bit too ~) |

The Magnetic Fields ~ 100,000 Fireflies a heartbreaking twee pop classic, and one of the best tracks in this month's contest regardless of what the voters say. 100,000 fireflies can't be wrong you won't be happy with me, but give me one more chance, you won't be happy anyway |

Golden Boy feat. Miss Kittin ~ Rippin Kittin bjsc 112 // 6th - 253 pts This month's lesson was a morbid electroclash classic from 2002, which we safely assumed (based on last month) would not get the recognition it deserved. Odd things can happen in bjsc though, as our rippin kittin slayed most of the field with a 6th place finish. It's always amazing to see great music prevailing in the contest, so we must offer a thank you to the tasteful folk who voted Trifoski - you made the CORRECT choice *.* |

The Comet Is Coming ~ Summon The Fire Trifoski back with another excellent, exhilarating and complete no-hoper jazz tune *.* we're legends in the game nowadays so we can send these songs and not worry where they finish. Cumulonimbia stans it and you should trust the Doctor's taste~ |

black midi ~ Talking Heads Trifoski's latest offering is less a bid for success, and more a statement of superiority. Now the proof is out there for all to hear, it's up to YOU to prove you can handle such a fun, manic and unique entry Pass the test and you may just be able to #EnterSchlagenheim x |

Excerpt from the Trifoski Free Press Cryptic Trifoski representatives Black Midi take ‘award season’ by storm On Thursday morning, Black Midi’s debut album Schlagenheim was given a spot on the 2019 Hyundai Mercury Prize shortlist, a prestigious award that probably indicates the album is really fucking good. In addition, single Talking Heads was nominated for the inaugural BJSC Song Of The Year, set up to recognise musical greatness regardless of success. Other named nominees include The Comet Is Coming, Golden Boy and Magdalena Bay. BJSC SOTY chairman Michael S. Brown commented “it’s wonderful to see this talented band getting the adoration they deserve. They are truly the zeitgeist- you turn the dial to 6 Music and this is what’s playing, you walk down the street and you hear the kids bumping ‘Schlagenheim’ on their phones. This music is OUR language, not to be judged by uneducated ignoramuses who can’t speak the flipping lingo. How I pity those fools.” |

Dutch Uncles ~ Oh Yeah following an unjust veto with The Twilight Sad, the door was opened for THE ONE AND ONLY Dutch Uncles to debut in the BJSC. The 4-piece band have built a brand of quirky indie pop and atypical time signatures, and have previously toured with + inspired Paramore ‘Oh Yeah’ is the quintessential Trifoski no-hoper and will surely have no appeal to buzzjack users. Enjoy x bjsc worldvision iv Dragan Dautovski Quartet ~ Balkan [North Macedonia] Striking Worldvision gold as ever, Trifoski ventured back to the early 2000s with Dragan Dautovski’s band and their enchanting instrumental folk tune. Balkan vibes bucko <3 |

Moses Sumney ~ Rank & File A potential from last year, Rank & File is an intense protest track tackling police brutality, with an ominous atmosphere and chanted samples. Most importantly it’s an all round GREAT song, and with great songs becoming an unfavoured concept in bjsc, Trifoski continue to find new ways to take risks and go against the grain *.* |

Marianas Trench ~ Echoes of You (feat. Roger Joseph Manning Jr.) bjsc 119 // 3rd - 278 pts our 69th entry came from Marianas Trench and their dark, theatrical rock banger Echoes of You. This band previously represented Singerpurear and Azure, and I'd like to see this as a 'thank you' to two of my favourite BJSC nations. With the success of this entry, plus the high quality Top 10 we ended with, I'm calling BJSC 119 a rare victory for great music! Cheers to the voters for making that possible -x- As an aside, if you were digging Echoes, you may also like this epic closing track from the same album~ for BJSC 120.....an old favourite from 2013? |

Big Black Delta ~ Side Of The Road A big Trifoskian #1 from 6 years ago finally lands in the contest now because why not. A driving synth track with a vocal that’s autotuned and contorted in some amusing ways (the voters definitely won’t find this offputting), I’ve also seen comparisons to ELO which I can kinda sorta hear. There’s a high chance no one will ‘get’ this song besides me, whatever it’s amazing and you’re just a silly goose |

Patricia Taxxon - Cilantro 10th, 193 pts They say the history books are written by the winners. But frankly what is the need to win when you're already a fucking ICON? Thus Trifoski have completed another chapter in their book of history-making accomplishments It is a tale of a wacky tune, fronted by our colourful protagonists Pix and Bit A tale of something unique but completely left-field and fundamentally insane - pleasing the tastes of some, and offending the senses of everyone else And in the end, succeeding in the face of common logic The morals of this story are that risks can sometimes lead to rewards, to take what's yours, and to write your own history a SPECIAL! moment indeed |

CONTEST: 122 ARTIST: Thank You Scientist TRACK: FXMLDR LOOKS LIKE YOU'VE FINALLY MADE IT How do you follow up a big success? with a good old fashioned 8-minute no hoper entry *.* Trifoski dabbles in prog rock with a band I've been enjoying lately, fused with a hint of jazz, a great sorta-MJ-esque vocal and a BIG triumphant chorus <3 |
