RULES
• You are forbidden from sending any song that has been previously sent to any BJSC main contest or spin-off.
• The song must comply with the rules of the veto framework. If the mods feel that it does not do so, then it will eligible to be vetoed at any point up to the reveal of the semi finals.
• You cannot enter a track featuring Betty Who, KEiiNO, Charlotte Qamaniq or 070 Shake due to their top three finish last month
• You cannot enter the artist that represented you in BJSC 123.
• Please keep your entry anonymous until the semi finals are revealed.
• United States Of Jack will automatically qualify for the final and Ojnoj will join them should the number of entrants be even.
• You have until 23:59 on Thursday 30th April to confirm
• Make sure your entry is as fetch as possible xo

I was really stuck between two songs, one a more conventional bop and something a bit more risky and I went for the risk as it's my first contest in a while, we'll see how it pays off I guess.

There's nothing I obviously want to send this month. There's something which I'm currently loving but can't see having a chance at qualifying, I'm torn as to whether I should continue my decent run or to be happy with three in a row and not be bothered.

I didn't realise until I saw the personal charts forum that it was in like 8 of them and I nearly re-confirmed straight away but thought I may aswell stick it out just incase someone else stole it and didn't get vetoed and then I'd have been pissed. I sent 'Hypnotized' by Purple Disco Machine for clarity's sake~

I do love 'Hypnotized' but yeah unfortunately was basically due to fall into auto-veto territory with the amount of personal chart impact it's had (including on mine x). I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually shows up on the Radio 1 playlist as well.
Will leave the other veto reveals to Jack and/or the other people who got vetoed, drama and suspense xx

It may just be because it shares one nearly identical lyric in its chorus but 'Hypnotized' always reminds me of like a slightly slower version of HAIM's 'If I Could Change Your Mind'.

Giving a listen to this Alanis remix and it is pretty good, definitely an improvement on the original version of the song, not sure it's one I'd have voted for though. F9 remixes have just been way too overdone in a very short space of time in the contest and this one wasn't of an obscure original song/artist like the previous couple were.
