My thought was that it reeks of a Zlatan 2.0 type of signing to try and distract the fickle twitter plastics from continuing to tear lumps out of the owners and the board.
If he’s as good off the pitch as Zlatan was then it’s a priceless gift for Tony, Rashy & Mason. If he’s not then it’s literally just Woodward trying to go “loooooooook I got you a STAR” in the hopes that we don’t see that he got utterly outmanoeuvred and outclassed by Dortmund simply saying “our price is 120m€ you pay it or we keep Sancho. The choice is yours” over and over for the entire summer. This Porto winger coming on a free next year coz Woodward is arguing over a couple of mil. Here’s an idea just pay f***ing Porto and take it out of the money the glazers were gonna leech from the club this year anyway. |

Everyone knows I hate Man Utd, but Cavani is an absolutely terrible signing. He is nowhere near Zlatan's levels both as a game changer or as an athlete. He was PSG's 6th best attacker last season, so the logic from Woodward is bizzarre. I mean, he's not a horrible player and he will score goals, but he has a horrible injry record and has not played for 6 months. But whose he gonna replace in the front 3 when they score goals? I don't think it addresses any of the shortcomings. Totally bizzare signing out of absolutely nowhere. really does reek of a short term PR move. |

I remain unconvinced by him. If he gives us some insider info to grind PSG into dust and make Neymar and Di Maria cry again I will buy a shirt with his name on the back of it.
Looks like Telles is coming after all. Will see if Woodward gets Sancho but I’m extremely doubtful. Consequences of not having football people run the club and owners that see the club as their personal ATM |

We've only played 3 games so still a long way to go even though getting top 4 is not what we should always aim for. Sky Sports News have been rubbing their hands with their anti-Man Utd bile as I knew they would. A bunch of armchair experts who wouldn't know what to do if a football was put in front of them. |
