The US actual figures have come out for the USA and it actually opened with $103,251,471 - slightly higher than the initial predictions.

That puts it a higher US opening figure than other superhero origin movies including Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Thor, Captain America, Ant-man and The Amazing Spider-Man cheer.gif

- Joel Edgerton to follow up "The Gift" with gay deprogramming/conversion therapy drama, "Boy Erased", starring Oscar-nominee Lucas Hedges.

- Antiope & Hippolyta (Robin Wright & Connie Nielsen respectively) expected to cameo in Justice League.

Both exciting news! Lucas Hedges was fantastic in Manchester By the Sea and this story looks like it could be very interesting. The Amazons were really cool in Wonder Woman too and I'm glad that's not the last we'll see of Robin Wright too (#bringbackstevetrevortootpls) w00t.gif

Wonder Woman drops just 45% for $57M second weekend in USA.

I believe that is a larger second week than both BvS & Suicide Squad and apparently the best 2nd week drop for a superhero movie since Spider-man in 2002.

For a live action superhero movie it is, apparently! ('Big Hero 6' dropped only 38%)

It really shows just how important word of mouth/good reviews are!

This graph is pretty cool for the nerds inside of us! biggrin.gif

More news on X-men 7: directed by Simon Kinberg (first time director but he's the writer of a few X-men movies, Fantastic Four (2015), Mr & Mrs Smith, This Means War & Sherlock Holmes)

Main cast set to return (all of Lawrence, Fassbender, McAvoy & Hoult included as well as the new Storm, Cyclops, Jean Grey and Nightcrawler). No news on Quicksilver yet though, hope he returns too ohmy.gif

And... Jessica Chastain is set to star as the villain w00t.gif I think she could have held out for something a bit better from Disney's Marvel or DC but still excited to see her in this.

This sounds like something I'll be very interested in...

And that's all round fantastic cast news for X-Men, I loved the last movie a lot. But Evan Peters is the most important so he better be on board too

Guess she's not Poison Ivy then....

I'm trying to think of female X-men villains she could be laugh.gif Madelyne Prior is the only one that comes to mind, which would be a stretch since she is a Jean Clone.
Unless they make Dark Phoenix a different entity to Jean? Is it still Dark Phoenix?

Miss Sinister would be cool too, there have bene hints to Mr Sinister in past movies but I don't think they've identified him as "Mr" so they could make it the female version.

I've seen mentions of her being Lilandra, but she's not a villain laugh.gif

Well if Jessica IS Lilandra than I can only assume the Shi'ar empire is involved and SPACE *.* so maybe she's a villain in the sense that, like in the comics, Jean destroys a whole planet after turning BAD and Lilandra thinks she is too dangerous to live.

The Book Of Life is getting a sequel *.* so hyped for that, the first film is possibly the most underrated animated film this decade! <3
