 So this is kicking off in a couple of days! Unfortunately due to his horrific crash Froome will be out, however we still have Bernal & Thomas from the newly-named Team Ineos, alongside Yates, Fuglsang, Pinot, Bardet & Quintana all hoping to put on that Yellow Jersey! Feel free to discuss all things Tour-related in this thread as the race unfolds. |

Well no-one was expecting Teunissen to grab that but congrats to him, I do love an outsider victory.
Interesting to see Peter Kennaugh looking like the replacement for Chris Boardman on the pundit team. I guess we'll see how he comes across throughout the tour. |

Fantastic win for Alaphilippe today, the first Frenchman to wear the Yellow jersey since 2014.
Also Egan Bernal has already gained 5 seconds on Geraint Thomas in the gaps that formed near the Stage 3 finish which means he is now the leader for Team Ineos! : P Got a feeling this could be a very interesting and wide-open race this year. |

Peter Sagan secured his first win of this year's Tour de France as he sprinted to victory on stage five.
Rui Costa made a late break on the hilly 175.5km route to Colmar but after he was hauled in Sagan was dominant as he took his 12th Tour stage win. |

Dylan Groenewegen claimed his first stage win of this year's Tour de France as Giulio Ciccone retained the leader's yellow jersey after stage seven.
Defending champion Geraint Thomas finished safely in the peloton to remain fifth overall. |

What a mess of a stage today. The Pinot group got so close - 10 seconds from the leading group - and then just fell away, I feel bad for Pinot and Ciccone.
And poor George Bennett as well, from 4th to losing 9 minutes just because he went to collect bottles. |

Brill time trial! Don't think anyone expected Alaphilippe to extend his lead, tomorrow will be his first big test though. A real shame to see Van Aert to crash on the stage he was supposed to excel in though
