And the gulf between Blackburn and ourselves was too wide. We need to improve the quality of our squad significantly if we are to compete for promotion to League 1 and maintaining our position there for a few years before progressing further.

Why would Tottenham travel all the way to Milton Keynes when they could play at Wembley instead? to say that the stadium situation there is a mess would be a massive understatement!

There will be some rules or something, I imagine. There might even be something else on at the ground who knows. You're right in that their stadium situation is a complete mess.. funny though as I have a funny feeling they might have to end up playing at Wembley all season. |

I'm getting that feeling as well, normally when a team moves into a new stadium they do it by the end of August but it looks like it will be October/November before they even have the possibility of going back to White Hart Lane. |

I'm sure there are meant to be rules that you are not able to play in more than 2x stadiums a year (as your home fixture) as it could potentially give different teams an unfair advantage. Utterly bizzare the whole management of the situation from the contractors and the club. |

Hahaha, have to laugh really. Not seen the game but I had such an inkling Lampard would pull one over Jose. Calamity Jones being at the centre of it all where have I heard that one before.
Although the overreaction from the media is priceless. 2 weeks ago we were back up & running now we're in a ""crisis" again. Modern day football eh. |

To be fair I think the narrative again is overstated, but a lot of it is being driven from the Utd camp and will continue all season imo. I thought Derby were excellent from what I saw in the 2nd half and the players were obviously playing out of their skin (I did enjoy Wilson's celebration). The Pogba vs Mourinho thing is irking around in the background and it's obviously got a lot of truth in it and a 'this club is not big enough for the both of us' feel. Personally I feel you would be much better off with the £100m you would get for Pogba. |

The thing is I'm not at all surprised Derby knocked us out, I half expected it.

West Ham 8-0 Macclesfield, a very one-sided display there from West Ham.

Pretty annoying to be out of the cup in a game we dominated. Hazard's goal was special and we got beat on fine margins.
Their first goal was sheer luck - hardly a free kick and then I am not sure what the point of VAR is if it's not going to be used correctly. Looked offside to me when I saw the VAR lines. Not one to moan about referees but Kevin Friend has got to be one of the worst we have, he's useless. |

Somewhat of a shock to see United out but it'll certainly give Derby some confidence going on.
