Stayed up a little later than I should have to watch this. I felt like Yee was going to do it but the Norwegian guy was like a bullet at the end.

Good to see Yee get the silver! Can't say I'd heard of him before this but certainly a hope for a gold in the future. Jonny Brownlee finishing fifth as well which is good to see.

Flora Duffy from Bermuda has just won the gold in the women's triathlon, Bermuda's first ever gold medal at the Olympics and making it the lowest populated "country" to ever win an Olympic gold medal. This is the kind of stats I live for from the Olympics. (Philippines also won their first ever gold medal earlier in the weightlifting! as mentioned by Pete in the 'miscellaneous' thread x)

GB taking another silver medal as well for Georgia Taylor-Brown. (Given Bermuda is an overseas territory of the UK can we count that as an all-GB top 2? whistle.gif)

Well done Georgia Taylor-Brown did fantastic to come back from that puncture on the bike.

Well that ruins my fun fact for Grenada that it was the smallest country to have an Olympic Gold tongue.gif (although I guess it technically still is since Bermuda isn't a country?). Massive well done to Georgia Taylor-Brown though - having to ride with a flat tyre and then needing to catch everyone up must have been some task.

I didn't even know until about an hour ago that there was a triathlon relay - seems to be a new addition to the Games this year - but ayyy at us winning the inaugural gold in it *.*

Wasn't watching but I was checking in on the BBC live blog coverage periodically throughout and looks like it was rather tense with the top 3 separated by just a few seconds not far from the end...! That's quite something for the sheer number of athletes / disciplines involved.

Delighted to see a gold to add to the two silvers in the relay! We had such strength in depth in the individual race so only natural that could transfer to the relay, very happy for Jonny Brownlee for getting a gold after being seen as second to his brother most of his life.
