I'm surprised no-one has done a poll for this before (Unless I totally missed it).

Certainly over 400k...
Maybe 550-600k region, including about 50k streaming sales. |

At least 500k. Probably near 600k but not quite making that figure.

His streaming numbers will be huge. All tracks will debut top 20 on Spotify with at least 1M per song.

but If I were his label, not sure if i'd put it on Spotify on week 1, sure they could move many more CDs if they waited a week or two...

More interesting is that he will probably have the top ten in the singles chart all himself

300-350k
I think this is a cautious estimate in comparison to some of the other predictions, but I do think that people are overestimating. He will have huge first week sales, great longevity and a hefty total in the long haul either way, though. I'm happy to be proven wrong. but If I were his label, not sure if i'd put it on Spotify on week 1, sure they could move many more CDs if they waited a week or two... His streaming will be huge right out of the gate. It's the driving force in the current performances of x and +. It would be extremely foolish of his label to not put it on Spotify on the day of its release, nor will they wait. |

I also voted 300-350k. If it was Q4 I would've voted 400k+ though! |

I feel like if the not long ago unknown Rag N Bone Man can get 100k opening sales Ed will do a lot more than 300k.

More interesting is that he will probably have the top ten in the singles chart all himself What a dire thought (And I'm not saying this because it's Ed, I would think the same about any artist). I think if he does clog up the Top 10/20 it will make the charts seem like even more of a hot mess. Getting to the point where artists are charting 10+ songs/entire album is ridiculous. However I think we will see more and more artists achieve 10 hit singles per week as streaming evolves - If this continues to happen I wouldn't be surprised if a chart rule comes into effect only allowing X amount of album tracks to chart? |

It looks like I was too conservative with those prediction bands - I figured that half of what Adele's last album sold on 1st week, would be a reasonable upper limit, especially given the relatively quiet time of year.
