Qualification streak update (underlined countries have matched or extended their longest ever Q streak):
27 Aeroche 27 Cor Lupus ~ 14 St. Burbia ~ 12 FARC ~ 8 Harmonica ~ 7 Jupiterdonia 7 Thelonia * ~ 6 Quintessa ~ 5 Dobago ~ 4 FSR Rontvia 4 Oslol 4 Skall ~ 3 Cowtermont 3 Danæviia 3 Elëdan 3 Espen 3 Fljótavík 3 Kluminican Republic 3 Lotunia ~ 2 Aesthetica 2 Beaverdonia 2 Daehun 2 East Rukahavian 2 Singerpurear 2 Terra Avium 2 Trifoski 2 Vülkyria ~ 1 #00274E 1 Bhangra 1 Cadelicia 1 Florina 1 Greenfroze 1 Hendinia 1 Kylienips * 1 Persephonia 1 Pupok * 1 Séyetana 1 Suedeonia 1 Taahino * 1 Tartford 1 Ultraviolenceland 1 Unovia * DEAD * more consecutive entries (11 for Unovia, 8 for Thelonia, 5 for Pupok, 4 for Taahino, 2 for Kylienips) have qualified but these streaks were broken by breaks from the contest Aeroche AQed their way to a national record extending 27th final in a row while Cor Lupus qualified again to keep up with them joint in the lead, both now matching Quotosibb's run in BJSCs 6-32 as the fourth longest ever, one contest away from matching third place. No big changes elsewhere near the top as the longest streak to end was Bøtanikkä's 4 in a row. St. Burbia stay the closest competition to the leaders extending their run to 14 in a row, FARC extend their record to 12 and Jupiterdonia and Thelonia extend their records to 7 each (8 with an asterisk for the latter). Harmonica make it to 8 in a row for the first time, surpassing their previous record from BJSCs 87-93 which they matched last month. The entire top 9 are now on at least their joint longest runs to date as Quintessa make it 6 in a row to match their run in BJSCs 101-106 (the two runs joint by just a single very narrow DNQ, poor Mimoza) and Dobago get to 5 in a row again to match their run of BJSCs 86-90 (although they also have an asterisked record as all of their first 6 entries qualified, but this was split into two separate streaks of 4 and 2 as they skipped BJSC 82). Finally Lotunia also match their best to date of 3 finals in a row, previously achieved in BJSCs 95-97 (their first three entries) and again in BJSCs 101-103. Third time lucky for 4 in a row? Unovia's re-activated asterisked streak would put them in 5th place again if we ignore them missing the last contest. |

Is the Greenway Song the first ever to get two 12s in a semi but still finish in the bottom 2? It received more 12s than the rest of the semi 1 DNQs combined so I will regard that as a consolation.
Thank you Beaverdonia and Cumulonimbia. I listened to Jade's song as she said she wanted Rolloland in her semi. It's very good Jade,it would definitely have got some points from me. |

Yeah, for the Q streak, probably end in tears next month as I have k-pop planned.

The Rejects campaign for 'Trip To Ireland' starts now I guess then, seems the whole of the dance bloc that were in semi 1 would've given high points to it! (#wedemandjustice)

Is the Greenway Song the first ever to get two 12s in a semi but still finish in the bottom 2? It received more 12s than the rest of the semi 1 DNQs combined so I will regard that as a consolation. Took me a while to figure out a way to search for this without just manually looking through every scoreboard (that might have actually been quicker lol) but yes, it is, at least for the contests where this information is available. There are three songs that previously got 2 12s and came 3rd from last in their semi-final: Holidannii // ayumi hamasaki - Mirrorcle World (10/12, BJSC 5 SF) - actually got 3 12s, but this was a weird semi-final of only 12 songs and not really comparable to the rest Kopečka // Pay TV - Trendy Discotheque (23/25, BJSC 51 SF2) - after a 33% deduction Kluminican Republic // Antonio Vivaldi - Winter II. Allegro Non Molto (26/28, BJSC 62 SF2) - also after a 33% deduction And as all of those are 'special cases' the next lowest are these which got 2 12s and came 4th from last: Jester's Kingdom // Sigur Rós - Ára Bátur (18/21, BJSC 10 SF2) Tinnmark // Linnea Dale - A Room In A City (23/26, BJSC 53 SF1) Singerpurear // Bowie Jane - Luv Bomb (23/26, BJSC 55 SF1) Terra Avium // Burton Earny - The Llama Song (aka Llamas In Need - Did You Ever See A Llama?) (21/24, BJSC 60 SF2) Sandebörg // Scarlet Pleasure - Windy (24/27, BJSC 63 SF1) (that's enough searching for obscure stats for now x) |

Well those are great results for me, only lost one of my votes and broke my record longest Q streak! Honestly wasn't expecting Prayed For Love to stand out in semi 1 so that was a pleasant surprise. I am disappointed about The Japanese House though, great entry from Scherzland </3

Oof, I thought I was a safe Q with 12/1 odds (overall!) from Rontbet, Q predictions from everyone and a good plug response. I guess you can't rely on anything in this contest.

Yay! Very pleased to be back in the final with this one, thank you voters.
Semi 2 are horrible people for not qualifying Utopia, I think that'd have been in serious competition to be my 18. Otherwise: 04 Alteria // Sun Gods - Zanzara 03 Aelandor // Savoir Adore - Savages 02 01 Rolloland // Peter Mylett - The Greenway Song All good songs that should have really gone through, bad luck guys (and especially with how close Alteria and Aelandor were </3) |

I feel bad now but I was the only one to give it a DNQ prediction, I thought it might get a bit lost. Then when I saw it being really high in RontBet odds, I figured wow, was I way off? But you never really know with these things. Sucks to see how you came so close and no cigar. Thanks for hosting so far Leww! |

For those odds I was basically going off the impressive Plug reaction (though I wasn't on at the time so I guess that must have been a lot of 'I quite like this' rather than 'I love this' woots) combined with the fact it seemed pretty easily accessible, so its DNQ is quite a surprise to me Nice entry, it was just outside my votes in a very strong semi and I think it would have crept in to my final votes had it made it.

Yeah I guess so, I knew it had quite an accessible sound and thought the start/ stop rhythms especially leading into the chorus would make it stand out, kind of regretting not sending their other song I was obsessed with now. You do good odds, often quite accurate haha which is why I was pretty confident- some things are just hard to predict I suppose. It was so close as well so if it had Qed maybe the other semi would’ve been a better audience (perhaps some of the wooters x) and it’d have done ok in the final too. |
