I checked some discussions about this, everyone loved it or hated it. For me, it was a simple 5/10, not bad, not good. I think I'll leave it, found something (a lot) better instead.

Binged watched the whole 12 episodes in 2.5 days and OMG my mind has been blown. It was a VERY slow build.. But when it going. BAM.
Just amazing. I fell in love with all the main characters and was rooting for them. I would LOVE to see more of them.. I hope it gets a second series.

I want to watch it, but it seems like it is serious marmite - the critics either like it or think it's abysmal, and the user reviews are pretty similar.
Think I will check it out, but might take me a while.

I agree with Gary. It's REALLY slow building. I'm on episode 8 and like barely any questions were answered and not to mention none of them even met up in person! Ugh, so frustrating

I'm only just finishing Grace and Frankie and now I have to add this to the list, but I've still got Daredevil and Bloodlines to watch too.

Incredible series. Just finished the last episode and it was all so fantastic. Tye Mexican storyline is the biggest grower of the series. At first it was pretty meh but towards the end it became really special and beautiful. And not because it was about gays oops~
It is weird hearing Frida speak with an American accent. Brits do it so well! 
Also it is rather confusing how they all speak English in their everyday lives even if it doesnt make sense at all to do that. Maybe it was done on purpose so that there wouldnt be any need for subtitles and shit but subtitles could add an extra layer of awesomeness to the series. Not that it needs it anyway~

I tried to watch this the other night, I haven't watched past the first episode yet because I was SO confused It's very likely I will pick it back up again at some point though, it seems like the kind of thing that's right up my street... I just need to try and understand what's going on a bit better

I finally finished watching this, it was pretty boring at first but it picked up about half way through and the finale episode was great. I think the characters are what makes this program but I'm hoping they make a second season because I feel that the plot would be so much better now that the characters are more developed etc.
Nomi and Sun are my favourites 
is it me or does the guy that plays Will look like Cory Monteith?

Just seen the first couple of episodes and I'm really liking it so far, even though not much has happened yet. Nomi is my favourite character so far.
And OMG at Freema Agyeman, such a drastic role change for her but it really suits her!

I binge-watched it 24 hours. I haven't loved a new series this much in AGES. It has the perfect balance of action and emotion, it's exactly how I like my shows. Every character is brilliant, loveable and relatable, ahhhh
is it me or does the guy that plays Will look like Cory Monteith? They're my favs too
I've noticed that about Will. He looks like a bunch of people, tbh. Ben from Revenge, for another example. I think it's because he has a standard american face, if there's even such a thing.

I just finished watching this the other day, it was quite a slow burner for me but in the end I'm glad I invested time in it. Interesting and with quite a bit of depth too.
The characters are all as diverse as you can get, very interesting and likeable as well.

Watched this in two sittings, very enjoyable stuff indeed and I liked the change of gradual pace and emphasis between the first and last episodes. Looking forward to the second series now to see where it goes now that they will all understand more about how to work together - although I have a bit of a fear that it will turn into a Playstation Lego game where they essentially just scroll through the lead characters to solve the latest puzzle. Ooooooo a science puzzle, best switch to Kala to progress to the next level!

Watching this for the 3rd time. What a show. Season 2 can't come soon enough. Episode 1 is apparently a Christmas Special and they're putting out the rest of the episodes in 2017. Oh and they've recast Capheus as the actor was homophobic or refused to do nudity or something. Lots of rumours going around.

I wasn't disappointed with the Christmas special as such, but with it being 18 months since I actually watched it a recap would've been nice because I found myself trying to recall what exactly had happened in Series 1 multiple times throughout the episode!
2 hours was a bit long, probably could've shaved off 20-30 mins with some of the scenes.
On the whole it was enjoyable and still retained what made me love the first batch of episodes.

About to start Season 2. Even though it was on at Christmas, it still feels like it's been forever! So glad it's back but I hope the amazingness from Season 1 continues because the Christmas episode was kinda mediocre.

Omfg that finale was incredible!!!! It's very seldom I cry happy tears over shows but honestly that Nominita proposal scene was utter perfection and omg Sun is just an amazing character I love her I love that they're all actually together now, I'm so excited for the next season already, it's ended with a v good set up :')

I cannot believe this. I am SO mad. I know Sense8 takes a lot of money to make, but it's one of the best shows Netflix have ever done, it's one of the most diverse TV shows ever and has a huge following worldwide. Let's hope the fans bring some sense (pun intended) to them and they at least let the creators wrap the story up with a film or a special.

It does have a passionate fanbase, but a relatively small fanbase compared to other Netflix shows. It's also the most expensive show, regardless of network, this year at $9 million an episode.
Unfortunate after that cliffhanger though.

Looks like we'll be seeing a few more Netflix cancellations in the future! This is only the fourth show they've cancelled (after Marco Polo, Bloodline & The Get Down) but the CEO today basically said he wants more shows cancelled. He said they have too many hits and so wants his creative team to basically look for flops :')
Part of me is expecting Unbreakable Kimmy to be soon, seems to be a lot less hype with this series.

This is actually incredibly gutting, it's one of my faves and like Froot said, it's so diverse, not to mention progressive. There's nothing like it out there so as far as i was concerned its essential to Netflix. Maybe there's hope someone else can pick it up but I doubt it when it was Netflix who dropped it. I hope they do give us a film out of it or maybe even a spin off with a couple of characters but what are the odds of that really when the main thing couldn't cut it

I don't think he was saying they need to cancel more of their current shows. I read it more as they need to take bigger creative risks with future original content, not all will work (they'll get cancelled), but those that will work will be massive for them.
Unbreakable Kimmy is fine. Sense8 just never had the buzz or acclaim for the amount of money it cost.

I find this decision really surprising. It's been gaining momentum lately, and people have been talking about it a lot (as in, people ACTUALLY know what it is now).
Plus it is (was) bloody good as well.

Yea I signed that petition the other day, there was also once circulating before it got cancelled bc people knew it was in danger. I've seen quite a lot of people be vocal online about how they feel about the cancellation, maybe with a bit of luck that will be enough for them to reconsider, it's a long shot but at least it's something.

Yea I read that too but tbh I don't think Netflix plugged it as much as they have with the likes of Orange Is The New Black etc, if they'd done that then maybe they'd have a larger audience, surely there must be a way they can cut costs as well?

yea like surely there's something they can do?! There MUST be ways to cut down costs, like if they're all in London now they could even do a decent enough job filming in a studio or something. There's ways around it, it just seems like such a waste to bin it rn when there's still so much potential plot development

Completely off the top of my own head, but my WORKING THEORY is it came down to this and something like House Of Cards (which obviously has yet to be renewed) which is also TRES PRICEY now, but gets a lot more awards attention and presumably viewers. Or maybe I'm just telling myself that to justify it.

Isn't House of Cards one of their most popular though (along with OITNB, Stranger Things etc)? I know its hype is helped by it being the first Netflix Original though.
I would say, if anything, it would be between this and The Crown. Judging my the petitions for this, I'm guessing it would have the same viewership as The Crown, which had hype but it doesn't seem to be amongst the biggest Netflix Originals. Yet The Crown is the most expensive TV show EVER, and they'll be keen to make more, perhaps regardless of viewership (as long as it isn't tanking) due to its popularity at award ceremonies.
