I have added the USA into the UK prediction thread for one week only as Fast And Furious 7 is the only wide release out in America this week.

Well the prediction game didn't work out so I am trying out another idea which isn't really a game. The new releases are above and you vote in the poll for what you predict the film will open with. Posse post your answers and hopefully this creates discussion
This one is for the British box office

UK new releases:
Fast And Furious 7- 7th movie in the franchise
The Water Diviner- Drama starring and directed by Russell Crowe
While We're Young- Dramedy starring Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts and Amanda Seyfried

My predictions:
Fast And Furious 7 is going to be massive. I'm going to predict £11.8M for UK and $120.5M for US
Really have no clue on the other 2 and I think both will be stronger over midweek rather than the weekend. I am going to go for £400k for the water diviner and £360k for while we're young

Fast & Furious: going to say £10.1m in the UK and the previous movie opened on around $117m in the US over a four-day weekend so.. maybe $120m sounds about right?

Have seen the trailers for the other two a few times and the releases don't appear too limited. The Water Diviner looks a bit wider going by Cineworld so I'll say that one does better at £560k but While We're Young can manage £510k. Maybe they'll be good counter-programming for people who want to go to the cinema over the Easter weekend but aren't interested in Fast & Furious? Idk, I'm really looking forward to While We're Young so that could be swaying me laugh.gif

Right, I've gone for...

F&F7:
$120m-ish for US
£16m for UK

'Water Diviner':
£1.2m

'While We're Young':
£790k

As always, probably way off target laugh.gif
