Also confirmed is that all shows will be broadcast from Stockholm. SVT are looking for a venue larger than a TV studio but not arena size (since they won't be able to fill it with an audience)
The first three rumoured acts being unfamiliar (to Melfest) faces SHOCK
Tusse (Swedish Idol 2019 winner) is apparently in, one half of hip-hop duo Medina is teaming up with one half of SödraSidan and Sannex are taking the dansband slot.
This was the Idol winning single from Tusse, written by the same team as "Move"
Omg I love Rain!! Hype!
Any idea if Alexander Bard will ever produce stuff for Melodifestivalen again? As far as I know he retired from music a few years ago and became a tv personality on Swedish tv until he was fired, so maybe he's going to start making music again? A BWO comeback would be amazing!
THE MAMAS AND DOTTER BOTH REPORTEDLY RETURNING
Klara Hammarström, Alvaro Estrella and most importantly, Jessica Andersson, are the names rumoured today!
Hearing rumours for Danny Saucedo, Eric Saade, Anton Ewald and Charlotte Perrelli.
BRING ON 2021.
Christer turning his last melfest at the helm into an all star edition! (according to the rumours at least)
COME ON DANNY. Let this be his time AT LAST.
Tess Merkel of Alcazar fame is also rumoured and I am SHAKING
Aftonbladet has confirmed Charlotte is in with a SCHALGER POP SONG!!!!!! Yaasss, nobody wanted any of that ballad nonsense she bombed with
*.*
2021 to be a REAL return to the golden days where each heat was PACKED with amazing songs pls.
The fact Charlotte Perrelli is gonna win Eurovision for a THIRD time. When will ur faves.
Official artist announcements kicking off tomorrow at 7am, one per hour, with nine reveals tomorrow and Wednesday and ten on Thursday Why drag this out when the rumours are normally almost entirely right (still, at least it's not one per day like a Melfest advent calendar )
I actually like the idea of a MF advent calendar. All hail Benjamin, son of Charlotte
first announced include danny saucedo (meh x) and RALF GYLLENHAMMAR's BAND MUSTASCH *.*
Kadiatou from Idol with a Debs song sounds promising, she's got a great voice from what I've heard!
So today's reveals have brought us...
Danny Saucedo - Dandi Dansa // Songwriters: Danny Saucedo, Karl-Johan Råsmark
Lovad - Allting är precis likadant // Songwriters: Mattias Andréasson, Alexander Nivek, Lova Drevstam, Albin Johnsén
Kadiatou - One Touch // Songwriters: Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, Jimmy "Joker" Thörnfeldt, Anderz Wrethov
Mustasch - Contagious // Songwriters: Ralf Gyllenhammar, David Johannesson
Eva Rydberg & Ewa Roos - Rena rama ding dong // Songwriters: Göran Sparrdahl, Kalle Rydberg, Ari Lehtonen
Emil Assergård - Om allting skiter sig // Songwriters: Emil Assergård, Jimmy Jansson, Jimmy ”Joker” Thörnfeldt, Anderz Wrethov, Johanna Wrethov

Paul Rey - The Missing Piece // Fredrik Sonefors, Laurell Barker, Paul Rey
Arvingarna - Tänker inte alls gå hem // Stefan Brunzell, Nanne Grönvall, Thomas G:son, Bobby Ljunggren
"One Touch" is giving me a 'deserves to win Eurovision but will instead be robbed and come 5th in the heat like Margaret and Klara' feeling
Little Tot is an... interesting title?
Little Tot doesn't sound like a song Sweden would take to Eurovision, from the title alone, although I'm very interested to hear it.
Great to see Danny and Tess in here, and Bed On Fire was great so Mustasch I'm pretty intrigued by too.
Sheeeee's back!
Wow, she looks a lot better now than she did back in 2008! Excited to see what she's bringing to the stage. We need a female swedish rep in 2021!
DEAR GOD at like 80-90% of Lilllasyster
This is deffo the Charlotte redemption arc isn't it. But very excited for Tess too.
The Mamas just confirmed with a song co-written by Robin Stjernberg called In The Middle
All of a sudden, I feel particularly interested in what this guy has to offer.
This is going to be the best year since 2014, what a line-up!
God this years lineup has me positively MOIST. Each heat is gonna be a bloodbath
SUCH a good line-up, great mix of exciting returnees and promising newbies! *.* I'm so excited to see titans like Dotter, Jessica Charlotte, Danny and Eric who we can depend on to deliver, and we have some really impressive rising stars and newbies, Klara I feel like will have a huge glow-up and like I said I've got a good feeling about what Kadiatou will bring.
Very impressed with this line up - and good to see a Kempe number back in the starting lineup for the schlager pop needs!
Harlot riding in on her SCHLAGER UNICORN to save 2021 is just what I needed *.*
I'm hyped for Bjorkman's inevitable 2022 Melfest Entry- an emotional ballad called 2010 with Anna Bergendahl or something.

I love that the producers put The Mamas slap bang in the middle of a heat
Heat 1 looks tough with four (?) acts that were in the final on their previous attempt. Knew "One Touch" would be doomed. I feel a bit of hope for Charlotte.
Some baseless predictions from mig
Key
Finalen
AC
I’m sure Danny will go DTF, and depending on what Jessica’s song is like I feel she could be the ‘shock’ 5th place with Paul Rey sneaking ahead of her into AC. Hope not though as I love her!
I will be absolutely flabbergasted if Danny doesn't go DTF. I love Jessica but she feels much more like an AC/Shock 5th.
I don't think Danny's music is as "young" aiming as it was previously, so I wouldn't rule out it appealing to all ages.
JessAn's also competing for those older age group votes with Arvingarna so that's not exactly a solid strategy
Danny's a tricky one to predict before hearing the song given that his current musical output hasn't got him a commercial hit in Sweden since 2016 so...idk?
Arvingarma does look a little bit like a Swedish Take That
From Danny I'm expecting something sonically in the vein of his recent material but...with more of a melody/hook. I suspect if he'd tried to submit one of his slow jams in a competitive scenario one of his team would have intervened.
It definitely won't be anything like In The Club/Amazing, and will clearly not be one for the kids, who I expect Kadiatou's song will do well with, so I agree - without hearing anything - at that DTF prediction.
But I think his name and probably a strong song will keep him ahead of Jess and Arvingarna.
Paul Rey is the wildcard - completely depends on his song, if it's bigger than last year he could very well go DTF, but if it's not a great song then he'll struggle to get past Jess and Arvingarna.
Before Melfest really kicks off...
This Eurotix Song was initially intended for Alcazar to compete with for Melodifestivalen, but instead was given to another artist and placed last in their heat.
The song?: Kom Ut Som En Stjärna
Having issues with the Embedding - so just incase, the song is Eurotix - Love Take Me Higher.
Clips are out. Very underwhelming heat. Based on the clips, my thoughts:
DTF: Danny/Arvingarna
AC: Paul Rey/Kadiatou
5th: Jessica
6th: Lillasyster
7th: Nathalie
The winner isn't in this bunch and all I see are white men that will go DTF. You could easily swap Arvingarna and Paul.
Disappointed with Jessica's entry. Weak song. Hopefully the performance can move it up a few notches.
The clips have just re-affirmed my strong feeling that Kadiatou is going to be a 5th place fan fave, it sounds like the blueprint of that type of song
Kadiatou's sounds a little bit Jax Jones No.37 smash.
Jessica's sounds decent to me, and like something that will sound way better with the gospel build in the whole song.
Danny's song is good enough and will probably be a big hit in Sweden, but it doesn't sound like a winner. I know he's more here for promotional reasons than necessarily aiming for a Eurovision spot though.
Nathalie's sounds quite pleasant but I'd need to hear more of it. None of the others grabbed me from the clips.
Given how much I raved about Amazing, and as much as I was aware this would be nothing like it given the direction he's gone in the last 6/7 years, Dandi Dansa sounds pretty weak and I do feel disappointed.
Kadiatou's song sounds SO GOOD though, I agree that it's very Jax Jones.
That Arvingarna track is a banger
Kadiatou is the best one but it SCREAMS 5th place
Rehearsal clips are out. Ouch. Poor Kadiatou, that was rough.
However, happy to move Jessica into her AC slot with my predictions above. Thank f***.
Danny's song is incredibly underwhelming. I love him but man that deserves to DNQ tbh.
Arvingarna sounds great and uplifting, hope they can get some love onside for a Direkt qualification. Hopefully with Fingerprints, that sounds very good and I've heard good things from the rehearsals (Paul Rey sounds like trash but unfortunately trash that'll do well and it's what I'm expecting to knock one of those two out).
Lillayster might need some time, there's something of a good song in there but I don't think that'll come through very well on the stage.
I can sorta vibe with what Danny's doing actually, would probably prefer it to Lillyaster, but I'd call Andra Chansen at best. Unless Sweden really has a lot of goodwill towards him.
I can't see past Arvingarna winning the heat based on all the clips. It's very "Angel Eyes" by ABBA and I can't unhear it now it's been pointed out to me.
DTF: Arvingarna/Danny
AC: Jessica/Kadiatou
5th: Paul Rey
6th: Nathalie
7th: Lillasyster
Jessica and Danny could swap but I'm basing it on his name and previous success and Jessica's song being good but no "Party Voice". Calling Paul as the 'shock' 5th/exit as from the clip to me, it's not as good as "Talking In My Sleep" and that only came 4th in his heat last year followed by him robbing Malou in AC so Kadiatou gets lucky ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Agree with the general consensus that Arvingarna will take the top spot of this heat at a canter. From the last few years it seems that just being a male with a duff song is insufficient to get an automatic pass to the final so I don't think Danny's going higher than Andra Chansen. Beyond that it's hard to predict what might capture the mood of Sweden tomorrow night, Kadiatou could have a breakout hit on her hands but I'm not sure if she can cut it as a performer in a competitive heat, JessAn has one of the better songs in the heat but surely her luck is going to run out soon? My gut instinct says Paul Rey will take that top spot even if the clip makes it sound like not my jam.
Cautious prediction:
DTF: Arvingarna, Paul Rey
AC: Danny, Jessica Anderson
5th: Kadiatou
6th: Nathalie
7th: Lillasyster
Having seen the rehearsal clips I might be alone but I can see Danny flopping and also Paul Rey.
I think Jessica sounds the best by a country mile
PRAYING for an Anton Ewald SMASHA this weekend
Overall I think my biggest takeaway from the first heat was Lena P's fantastic opening performance of her Gloria Gaynor meets Alcazar song. Completely forgot to check out her album last year, so I missed it then but have had it on repeat since. If it had been a contending entry I think it could have got to the final in the old diva schlager slot.
60 Second Clips are out.
Anton: love the sounds of this. Very The Vamps.
Julia Alfrida: also very nice.
WAHL feat. SAMI: fantastic.
Frida Green: huge names attached to this song, it sounds great, but I was underwhelmed.
Eva Rydberg & Ewa Roos: absolutely will have my attention on Saturday.
Patrik Jean: over produced nonsense that will never win, but probably will have a great performance and go DTF.
Dotter: the main event, the clip did not disappoint!
The 1 Minute Clips last week led us to believe that Heat 1 would be weak, but that was far from the truth.
This round of clips sound a lot better in terms of quality.
Not as much to care about with the lack of something like Lillasyster or Arvingarna but the Julia Alfrida song sounds sweet (out of the female pop songs it grabbed my attention the most), and Anton doesn't sound as bad as he normally does. Also kinda living for that pair of older ladies.
"Little Tot" is the best clip so far and the title doesn't sound as bad when sung in context.
Very much expecting that below Dotter winning the heat, 2nd-7th will have the same gender split as last week, but would love Eva & Ewa to throw a surprise as that song is sounding like such joy.
Sounds like a solid heat, I look forward to hearing them all in full, so that's something.
Hopefully Dotter gets the public's support for the second year running, sounds great.
Julia Alfrida's song sounds VERY Royals, especially with the word royal appearing in the lyrics
Rehearsal Clips are out. Exceptionally solid heat. Very impressed.
Dotter/Anton/Wahl & Sami are all sublime.
Patrik and Frida I'm not sold on just yet.
omfg
The clips are out, I really hope Charlotte doesn't come 5th (or lower) this time, it seems to sonically borrow from the wonderful Smith & Thell, but with her schlager pizzazz thrown in - love the sound of it
The Mutasch song sounds good too, like a late 90s/early 00s rock hit. Bed On Fire was so good in 2013, one of my favourites, so I had a hunch I might enjoy this more than most rock entries.
Elisa's song sounds very promising to my tastes, with a classic 00s style Melfest melody, but I'm not convinced she'll qualify with it.
Tusse's song is very anthemic, I don't think it's the sort of song I'll be supporting over Dotter personally, but I could certainly imagine it finishing 2nd-4th area in the final.
The others sound good to varying degrees too...looking forward to this heat.
Loving the sound of Elisa and Mustasch in particular, could take or leave most of the rest but Assergard's sounds quite fun at least.
Took a few listens to properly peg it but I can really hear the Goliath influence in Still Young - love it!
Also lowkey into Emil's song in the same chanty sing-a-long way - Heat 3 is usually where the surprise result comes from so my hot take is that Emil's going at least to AC maybe even DTF?
STILL YOUNG SOUNDS SO GOOD.
Truly Smith & Thell meets a schlager feel.
The Performance Clip is just *.*
La Voix meets The Queen (Velvet)
I guess I'm the only one not feeling Charlotte's entry (at least based on the previews) eek.
Klara's song sounds like something I'll for sure add to my playlist lol. It's not a winner but it's quite the bop.
Alvaro's song sounds very millennium Enrique/Marc Anthony lmao.
Tusse sounds very promising. Could certainly prove to be a contender but Dotter does still sound like the better choice.
The other three .. idc.
Will be interesting to see what The Mamas & Eric bring in SF4 because so far there's not a whole lot of songs that I can see being any sort of hindrance to Dotter in terms of both the popular vote AND the jury vote.
Still Young is already sounding like everything I could have hoped for.
And yes, I am almost solely here for the return of HARLOT storming into 6th place.
Elisa Lindstrom will save ESC 2021.
Heat 4 Clips are out...
Tess Merkel – Good Life: eek I don't like this at all.
Lovad – Allting är precis likadant: cute thanks
Efraim Leo – Best Of Me: best of the heat so far, but not all that good either. Sounds like every other song on the radio right now.
The Mamas – In The Middle: sounds impeccable, but underwhelming.
Sannex – All Inclusive: oh I like this ha! I'm sure it will get lost in the big names in this heat. 5th maybe?
Clara Klingenström – Behöver inte dig Idag: cute but boring and forgettable.
Eric Saade – Every Minute: hopefully builds up to something bigger because this is just flat
Melfest just hasn't hit it for me this year.
Really liking the sound of Eric, Efraim, Tess and The Mamas (their song sounds SO Greatest Showman) so hopefully they can be the top 4 but I'm worried Sannex might upset proceedings (probably at the expense of Tess), not sure we really need them when we've already got Arvingarna. Lovad and Clara are the clear filler spots.
I already think The Mamas will win the whole shebang again. They’ll elevate that song massively and with the added wind in their sales as being automatically rooted for from the public, it looks good for them.
Tess, Clara and The Mamas sound pretty brilliant, I'll take that and most likely start wanting The Mamas to win this whole thing again.
Not a good one for the boys though, Eric is more varying shades of urgh, not this again and Efraim sounds horrible.
I never cared that much for Move, but loved the follow-up single Let It Be. In The Middle sounds more similar to that, so I'm happy, although I'm not sure it sounds like a winner for them this time.
Eric's is much dancier than I expected, I'm not sure his voice really suits the song as I expect to hear a deeper, bassier male vocal on top of production like that.
We were all expecting Danny and Eric to fight for victory but based on their songs they'll be fighting for 3rd/4th place instead.
I guess it's Tusse vs Dotter then! I would expect Tusse to get it but I hope Dotter can carry over some of the residual goodwill from last year, it's such a fantastic track. Harsh for her to do a Danny and finish second in consecutive years, but I can see it happening.
Any reason why you think Tusse to win?
Does any one remember where dotter came in the twlevote and jury last year? I remember it was sooo close

well, maybe after the Mamas and Arvingarna, but it's one of the highlights of this Melfest and is horribly underrated.

I am tempted to say it's become just a Eric vs Tusse race for the win here. I'm resigned to knowing Dotter is going to be this decade's Ace Wilder and that close victory is the best she's gonna get.
Frustrating that Paul Rey & Frida Green are against one another in Andra Chansen - clearly two duds that haven't really connected with anyone, I'd much rather see any of the other six advance.
I just want Sweden to send a female act 🥺
Ugh of course Klara is up against the second highest act in the AC but hopefully she manages to qualify to the final!
Anyone watching AC? Admirtedly it's not a great night for it, but then its still miles ahed of the Danish selection...
YES!
Hoping for Alvaro, Paul (lesser of two meh's), Clara and Klara I think!
Want
Alvaro
Frida (although neither really)
Eva & Ewa
Klara
Predict
Alvaro
Paul
Clara
Efraim
Can't believe this beat both Yessica, Nathalie AND Kadiatou, I guess homophobia won.
I don't actually think it's that bad!
One Touch might still be my favourite song of the year though, I'm still mad it got wasted on such a personality vacuum
I wonder how many extra votes Alvaro and Lillasyster are going to get on the phone vote, thinking they're voting for someone else as I believe in previous years each duel was songs number 1 and 2.
Paul's staging felt tidier than the first time where he was frantically running from one side to the other. I think he MARGINALLY has the better song there but 12th place in the final calls regardless.
Rena Rema Ding Dong really is NUTS and adorable.
I'm aware I'm in the minority but I just feel very meh about Clara's entry, but I think she'll beat Ding Dong easily.
Okay, back to back, he's not a great performer, but I do prefer Best Of Me as a song.
I predict:
> Lillyaster
> Paul
> Clara
> Efraim
I want:
> Alvaro
> Paul
> Clara
> Efraim
And, based off my predictions, a very loose running order prediction:
01 The Mamas - In The Middle
02 Efraim Leo - Best Of Me
03 Lillyaster - Pretender
04 Anton Ewald - New Religion
05 Dotter - Little Tot
06 Paul Rey - The Missing Piece
07 Eric Saade - Every Minute
08 Clara Klingenström - Behöver inte dig idag
09 Tusse - Voices
10 Arvingarna - Tänker inte alls gå hem
11 Danny Saucedo - Dandi Dansa
12 Charlotte Perrelli - Still Young
If 'Rema Rema Ding Dong' wins though, then it's obviously going last and I'd scrap this whole order
You just know Christer is entering next year after he retires from the production side.
Definitely want Alvaro, Clara and Efraim to win their duels, struggling to care either way for the 2nd, they're both similar shades of average to me...!
And Benjamin's hips have won the evening *.*
This filler is the worst of the night, make it STOP.
YAY ALVARO
oh get it clara too!
Oh SNATCH IT KLARA *.*
Fair play on those AC results tbh!
If I had to put these into a running order
01 Danny - Dandi Dansa
02 Klara Hammarstrom - Beat Of Broken Hearts
03 Anton Ewald - New Religion
04 Paul Rey - The Missing Piece
05 Arvingarna - Tanke inte als ga hem
06 Tusse - Voices
07 Alvaro Estrella - Baila Baila
08 Clara Klingenström - Behöver inte dig idag
09 Charlotte Perelli - Still Young
10 Eric Saade - Every Minute
11 The Mamas - In The Middle
12 Dotter - Little Tot
So elated for Clara, absolutely here for her to do a Snalla Snalla, but there’s no way it’s going to get much international jury support
Good for Klara too although I suspect her and Alvaro will be battling for last in the final - at least I hope Charlotte doesn’t do that badly!
I’m absolutely shocked Eva and Ewa went out. Based on the new voting thought they were a cert to win the older and younger vote
Boooo, I was hoping they’d be a bit more creative than just sticking Arvingarna at the end again but hey x
Clara Klingenstrom, just do it and win.
Clara up to 4 on Spotify!! Only behind Tusse and Eric.
I just know that the international juries will sink it though
Was charlotte eliminated?
An updated look at Spotify after this week, following the above:

MF will be gifting the world English commentary on the STV Player for the final
I like this.
Tusse song voices gives me vibes of a 5th or 6th place at the final.
Was really hoping this wouldn't win, I don't like 'Voices' at all, so back to not supporting Sweden as they cruise to a good result again meh
First time Sweden are in my bottom half, this is so disappointing and that sort of fodder UK would send because we think it sounds “Eurovisiony”. Might do OK but diminishing returns from the televote I predict?
It's a total 'coasting' effort.
This is a bop
In general I'm quite pleased with how the result turned out last night. "Little Tot" definitely isn't as good as "Bulletproof" for me so there would've been a slight bittersweet feeling had Dotter won, and I would've felt bad for The Mamas even more if they lost out to someone who's already represented Sweden before (Eric). It would've been amazing to see them step out of their box and send Clara but it was never going to happen unfortunately.
Another safe top 10 for Sweden incoming but I don't really see it being in contention - my gut is that it'll do a bit better in the televote than John Lundvik but not significantly so.
From all their choices I think Sweden could have had a better entry with a more fighting chance of winning. I cant see them been in contention at all to win with this, its the type of sing that could come 6th or 16th.
Clara Klingenstrom's song reached top 5 in Swedish chart.
'Baila Baila' is such a bop. It deserves more attention tbh.
This is still a bop
