Break the tension Joined: 7 March 2006 Posts: 88,852 User: 51	I feel like it could have been if they'd handled the release of it better. They could have just coordinated the downloads and physical release, although 'California Gurls' and 'Airplanes' were really massive at that point in time.

The cd single still had good influence at that time, releasing the cd singles in different weeks to the downloads didn't work and the video releases did not tie in with either.

Kylie did great promotion which also helped greatly in the success and All The Lovers is a song Kylie amerces herself in on every performance and that sells the song.

Looking back on some of Kylie's back catalogue, especially the old material, it is incredible that it is 30 years old. The 9 years since the release of All The Lovers has passed incredibly quickly and the song feels less than 5 years old.
