Its another single that feels like it was a number 1 and better than some number 1 and 2 peaking hits. Thankfully it's one of best sellers though.

I feel like it could have been if they'd handled the release of it better. They could have just coordinated the downloads and physical release, although 'California Gurls' and 'Airplanes' were really massive at that point in time.

The release while handled very well did have room for improvement, had this happened, a Number 2 peak may have happened but don't think it would have gone to Number 1 based on the competition at that time.

It was released at the cross over into downloads at the time and they didnt have a full handle on how to really push that.

The singles market was really starting to change at that time but they handled it strongly overall.
It was the last single they actually handled decently as after that they really messed up with the strategy for singles.

Ya how they managed singles went down rapidly after all the lovers as everything was messy after that as they didnt know how to make the best impact on release weeks

The singles after All The Lovers were literally just thrown out to the market and their was no strategy in place.
The cd single still had good influence at that time, releasing the cd singles in different weeks to the downloads didn't work and the video releases did not tie in with either.

I would have been so mad if All The Lovers flopped due to mishandling.
Kylie did great promotion which also helped greatly in the success and All The Lovers is a song Kylie amerces herself in on every performance and that sells the song.

Songs really demonstrate the quickness of time.
Looking back on some of Kylie's back catalogue, especially the old material, it is incredible that it is 30 years old.
The 9 years since the release of All The Lovers has passed incredibly quickly and the song feels less than 5 years old.

Aphrodite in general doesnt feel like an album that will soon be reaching its 10 anniversary as it still sound great, but as I'm old enough to remember the release I really find it hard to believe her debut is 31 years old.
