Festival da Canção returns to select Portugal's Eurovision entry in March next year.
The 16 songs have dropped and they...are about as good as you'd expect from Portugal. The three leaders of the pack seem to be the band Blasted with the song "Rebellion"
But if your FdC audience don't really go for that (it's also the only song entirely in English of the 16) then don't rule out something like this delicate soul ballad taking it
Oh my god
I think my Conan hate is well documented, but I hope initial buzz follows through into a victory again because "Rebellion" has me very much on board. It's fantastic!
I never thought the day would come where I'd be ready to stan Portugal
Conan one of the best songs of 2019!
so we get cult dancing last year and mosh pits this year. Portugal is finally stepping up
Let's all move on from the past and turn our attention to what lies ahead for Portugal xx
This has overtaken Blasted on Youtube views so looks to be another big contender. It's very French, very Disney sounding, and would still be the best thing they've sent size Suzy
Passe-Partout is very charming indeed <3 Sounds like it's come from a musical. Fingers crossed that wins!
Rebellion is quite good too, albeit it somehow sounds a bit like The Script covering Linkin Park.
I also really like Gerbera Amarela do Sul, nice little melody running through that.
The other 13 songs did nothing for me unfortunately.
Elisa won
Hmmm. Still an improvement on their past three entries, but the jury screwed over Passe-Partout
Elisa wins the final national final of 2020 after the juries completely screwed the televote favourite (sound familiar?)
I think this is probably an easier sell than Passe-Partout and could potentially get enough to sneak 10th and then come 26th in the final but it is Portugal so they're still just as likely to mess it up.
I think you'll find Senhit is having a "Digital Battle" x
