What are your thoughts? I’ve preordered it. It looks great and bit different to the usual Super Mario Bros game. Bring it on!!

I'm really looking forward to this. I've played all the Mario home console games (64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1 & 2, 3D World (+ Bowser's Fury), U (Deluxe) and Odyssey) so I'm interested to see how it builds on that.

I love Mario games so am sure I’ll get this. 2D ones are fine by me too as I like the nostalgia attached to the format.

I'm really looking forward to this tbh, looks wonderful and Nintendo are looking to smash with their first-party games.

Ordered a copy from Currys as you get 25% off and free next day delivery as a pre-order, didn’t seem bad

It’s cute! Nice to hammer out a few levels and such, nice casual game that I can pop onto when I’m bored.

I'm on the third or fourth world and haven't really found anything particularly difficult so far. I don't think I've missed a wonder flower yet.
The wonder flower concept is definitely novel at first but now I'm getting further in I'm finding some of them a little bit samey, particularly when you just fall or have to fly upwards - there are much more inventive ones than those too though. |

I 100%'d it in 3 days.
I probably could've ignored the Standees but no matter. Fun to play. Except for the invisibility sections. This post has been edited by All★bySmashMouth: 30th October 2023, 08:22 PM |

Yeah it isn't the most difficult game in the world, and the wonder parts in particular are often easier than the rest of the level.
I haven't finished all of the special world yet (been deliberately leaving those as I assume they will be the most weird and difficult) but I've finished everything else now, with the vast majority of levels collecting everything on my first run through. Although it took me ages to figure out that I needed to buy the remaining seeds from the shop instead of scouring the map for levels that looked like they could have potential hidden areas etc coming off of them I was largely impressed with how varied the levels and enemies were, it didn't feel too repetitive in the game at all as a result. My only real grumble was the boss fights as they were just so basic - even by Mario standards they were all very easy. |

They introduced so many new enemies and we couldn’t even get one new boss. Not to mention that World 3 & 5 didn’t have bosses at all. |
