'Blue Savannah' is absolutely glorious, it's out way too soon. As if losing that wasn't enough, I then lost Candy Flip's 'Strawberry Fields Forever' wub.gif the original is obviously a classic but I genuinely have trouble deciding which version I prefer, even if John Lennon would probably have been turning in his grave when Candy Flip covered it. I love how lush his vocals are on it and the trippy drum beat is so mesmerising!

Sad to lose the Charlatans, but thank you to this thread for reconnecting me with it - one of the songs of my childhood but hadn't listened to it back in ages!

Aw that Erasure song would have ranked very highly for me - one of my mum's favourite songs so I heard it around the house a lot when I was a young kid.

I never rated that Charlatans song that highly compared to a lot of their others. Loved its follow up 'North Country Boy'.

Shame to lose 'The Bartender And The Thief' one of my favourites by the Stereophonics!

One of their best for sure. Odd (but impressive) their first 10 Top 10 singles all peaked between 3-5, then Dakota reached #1, and they had none after that.

'You Got It' and 'Straight Up' are both 9/10s!

'This Used To Be My Playground' is nice enough but distinctively average compared to the rest of Madonna's discography.

39. Celine Dion - It's All Coming Back To Me Now 205pts

Writer - Jim Steinman
Top points - Campbell 24, Simon 21, rio309 20, ready for it 20

This song goes back to the 80s. Meatloaf wanted to record it but Jim Steinman saw it as a woman's song and gave it to the group Pandora's Box whose version only got to number 51 in 1989. Celine Dion's cover was released in 1996 while Meatloaf finally recorded his version in 2006 as a duet with Marion Raven for his Bat Out Of Hell III album, taking the song back into the singles chart at number 6. This is the third song on 205 points, it wins the tie-break with 17 votes.

Results going well at this stage, only lost three songs so far (Move being the latest) and none of them were in my top ten.
