Rihanna has quite the extensive discography which consists of 8 albums full of hits. We all know those hits but Rihanna has released some underrated gems in her discography.

Here are some of my favourites;

We Ride - This song is definitely one of her most underrated songs. Definitely her underrated single in my opinion. The song is such a smooth R&B song. I love the 'We Ride We Ride' hook in the song. After SOS, it is my fave from A Girl Like Me

American Oxygen - Another underrated gem. The song and its video was quite the statement about America and its history.

Discuss below your favourite underrated Rihanna songs!

American Oxygen is an absolute gem, I think if it was shorter it'd be more appreciated because I get how it goes on a bit. We don't talk about We Ride.

Good Girl Gone Bad
Wait Your Turn
Skin
Phresh Out The Runway
Loveeeeeee Song
Right Now (I'm afraid)
Woo
Pose

and the ultimate one, SLEDGEHAMMER. Completely paid dust by stans, the GP when it's flawless? The belting in the chorus drake.png

American Oxygen was the first one to come to my mind tbh.

Others off the top of my head include

The Last Song
We All Want Love
Drunk On Love
Get It Over With
Half Of Me
Never Ending

They’re all quite mellow and not exactly pop numbers. But vocally I love all of these tracks wub.gif

Omg all these too, boppery.

Idk I might be imagining this but I think Rih is known by some as having albums packed with filler but compared to lots of other pop acts she really doesn't. So many hidden gems!

When I saw this thread title, my first thought was American Oxygen. I was sure I was the only one on this forum to hail it as one of her best. SO HAPPY to see others appreciate it too.

Dropping some love for Love Without Tragedy / Mother Mary

American Oxygen's production really puts me off the song. It's literally a mess! sad.gif

I genuinely think 'Rockstar 101' is so underrated, the sheer attitude and sass she delivers. It's fierce!

They just shouldn't have tried to make it a single in any way, shape or form.

It's just such a breezy mid-tempo perfect for a chilled summer playlist. One of the songs I used to play a lot from AGLM.

How was this only a bonus track?! Such a gorgeous song and should've been given a push instead of HTILY. kink.gif I used to think she was singing "I'm on a stone, I'm spinning round" laugh.gif

Te Amo is my favourite underrated single from her.

It was a top 20 smash! But even compared to Rated Rs singles and album tracks it’s rarely discussed.

I would say Skin, but quite a few people have said that so maybe it’s not actually underrated? Ha.
Higher is another. I think people write it off for her voice being to strained on it, but I looove the quality to her voice on it, so raw.
