Harry Kane made his Bayern Munich debut as they lost 3-0 to RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.

Only hours after completing his £86m move from Tottenham on Saturday, the striker came on as 64th-minute substitute to a huge cheer at the Allianz Arena.

He had only three touches and made little impact.

Dani Olmo scored a hat-trick for Leipzig to deny 30-year-old Kane the first trophy of his career.

Olmo's first goal was into the bottom corner after a cross was not cleared. His second was brilliant, spinning Matthijs de Ligt before slotting through Sven Ulreich's legs.

Ajax's match against Feyenoord on Sunday was abandoned in the 56th minute after home supporters threw flares and fireworks on to the pitch.

Visitors Feyenoord went 3-0 up in the first half at the Johan Cruyff Arena, prompting the first flares to be thrown.

The match was temporarily paused and then called off when trouble restarted.

"De Klassieker is permanently stopped after repeated fireworks on the field," said a statement from the Eredivisie.

And it's being replayed! What an absolute joke that is. If Ajax win this replay then the fans' actions would have literally gained their team 3 points so everyone will start doing it now.

Osimhen literally carried their Serie A victory last season and this is how they treated him now after a missing penalty.

Algeria defender Youcef Atal has been suspended by Nice after allegedly posting an antisemitic video on social media that related to the conflict in Israel and Gaza.

Atal, 27, has now deleted the Instagram post and apologised.

The Nice public prosecutor's office opened a preliminary investigation into Atal on charges "of defending terrorism".

Nice said they had suspended Atal "until further notice".

"The player has acknowledged his error by quickly withdrawing the sharing of the publication and has offered a public apology in writing," Nice said in a statement.

"Nevertheless, given the nature of the publication shared, and its seriousness, the club has taken the decision to take immediate disciplinary action against the player, prior to any action that may be taken by sporting and legal authorities."

Atal is also being investigated by the prosecutor's office for "public incitement to hatred or violence because of a particular religion", and by the French Football Federation (FFF) ethics council.

Barcelona and Germany goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will undergo surgery on a lower back injury.

The 31-year-old last played on 12 November, and has missed three Barcelona games and two for Germany while the injury was managed.

No timescale has been put on his recovery yet, with Barcelona saying he will have surgery this week and a new statement will then be released.

"The break obviously annoys me," Ter Stegen wrote on Instagram.

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has been crowned the Italian footballers' association player of the year for his Napoli performances last season.

The Super Eagles star was presented with the award on Monday night after helping his side win their first league title in 33 years.

Osimhen scored 26 Serie A goals in 2022-23, breaking George Weah's record as the highest-scoring African in the Italian top flight in the process.

The former Lille and Wolfsburg striker became the first African to ever win the AIC award, joining the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Andrea Pirlo, Cristiano Ronaldo and last year's winner Rafael Leao as recipients of the prize.

French Cup holders Toulouse were knocked out by third-tier Rouen in a penalty shootout which saw 23 of the 24 kicks scored.

All 11 players on each team scored their spot-kicks before Gabriel Suazo hit the post with his second attempt and Abdeljalil Sahloune netted to set up a last-16 tie with Monaco.

That shootout drama came after a 3-3 draw in Rouen.
