Best winner in an age! EXCUSE U Congrats SevenSeize, that's twice you've won with songs I've purchased but would never have thought to send here! Pleased it won over Goldroom, it was probably 11th-12th for me but should never have finished 17 places higher than the wonder that is Sweetness Alive (still my favourite song sent to BJSC this year that I didn't know already) It's been heartening to see a little pocket of cries for justice for 'Sweetness Alive'! Still appalled at how poorly that performed. |

I'm not a heartless cunt, but the exemption is for people who genuinely couldn't make it online. Phlox has clearly stated he would have been able to vote on Friday night, ergo no exemption. From my view that is us sticking to precedence and being consistent.. We've had people not vote for legitimate reasons before but not tell us until after the fact and they were subject to the one contest ban. But as far as I'm aware, this decision means you haven't stuck to precedence considering a few contests ago, 2 late voters were allowed to participate the following contest and have not had a 1 contest ban since? And I can't remember any other more recent contests where late voters have been banned from the next contest, if there has been then I apologise. But if I am right with my first point, then surely the fairest thing to do would be to allow Phlox and Jester to participate in BJSC 60 while introducing firm rules that means all deadlines are midnight (as you have already said), late voters should not be up to the host but consistent for all contests and that in itself would mean that deductions for late voters would not be an issue. |

Great winner, grats to Trifoski and thx to Ryan for the great hosting.
I'm very happy with my top 15 result and especially the 2nd place in the semi. Special thanks to Séyetana for 12 and Ashton and Greenfroze for 10 points. |

Hmm, okay, this contest's deadline fiasco isn't really comparable to previous late votes being accepted without a banning as in this particular case the voting was closed, non-voters were named, and then the voting reopened hours later, which is a situation we've never really had before. Extending a deadline is fine once it is reasonable and the non-voters would only face the deduction, but once voting has been declared as closed, non-voters named, then it has to be treated as such. Consistency is obviously GOOD and we hope that once LXI starts in January then it will be smoother for you guys but this is a unique case that we've had to deal with. I know it probably seems harsh but once we hit refresh in January then hopefully issues like this won't arise again.
