Title is pretty self explanatory. TS7 is coming somepoint this year so what do you want Taylor to bring to the table for this album/era?
My main hopes atm:
- A killer lead single that's well received & smashes worldwide
- Album by August
- Another #1 UK single & #1 album worldwide
- A +15 track album (18 would be nice). I can see it being 13 tho to = 13 years in the industry & we know she's obsessed with 13
- Deluxe album tracks, they're usually so amazing
- Fantastic videos in the vein of most 1989 vids & LWYMMD. No End Game walking around for 3 minutes plz.
- A couple of surprise collaborations. Maren Morris would be a fab collab and also Ari now that they're on the same label. I'm expecting a Shawn collab this era which I wouldn't be against
- PROMO. TV PERFORMANCES. Actually do stuff this era.
- Spotify Promotion & Radio Playlisting to be great post album-release, this was such a mess in the Rep era with everything impacting at different times.
- To have a clear 2nd single.
- A really chill vibe this era. This to be a light killer pure pop album (which I'm expecting atm). A couple of country-ish tracks would be good to.
- A good range of producers. More Max/Jack tracks, Nathan Chapman to return, Ryan Tedder, a couple of new & exciting producers
- Another record-breaking amazing Tour
Honestly I just hope the album is nothing like Reputation. It's the first era from her I've disliked, the only song that I thought was alright was End Game.
But I am optimistic for a fun pop album, with a bit of country thrown in there as well.
I've said it elsewhere on the forum but something light, fun and breezy would suit her so well. None/less of the "everyone is against me" or "Yeah I must be a bitch" schtick. An album which would be a gorgeous counterpart to '1989' would be wonderful, and I believe we will be getting that.
Also, isn't there meant to be some form of Adele collaboration coming? Not sure I'd put them two together on a song, but it's interesting to see how that'd turn out.
I agree with most of those but in my opinion I’d like to see her work with different producers instead of the same Martin/Jack tracks that she’s been putting out for years now. Work with someone new and up and coming with a slight indie-vibe to them
Now I've heard people mention it, light/breezy indie-pop would suit her so well so I'd be here for that 100%
Imagine if Taylor did end up doing some retro concepts on this album tho
I think the collab was denied iirc but I can def see one of them writing for the other's next album. They're def good friends (the Rep tour pic together <3) and both have been in NY a lot lately
A few more ballads this time.
Jazz-metal-opera hybrid coming tbh x
