Marshmello x Lil Peep Spotlight - Information Released: 12th January 2018 Label: Joytime Collective / Lil Peep Video Biography Marshmello Enigmatic masked DJ/producer Marshmello makes groove-oriented, synth- and bass-heavy electronic dance music. In the spirit of other masked DJs like Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, Marshmello (whose real identity remains a mystery) appears wearing a full-head-covering marshmallow mask. Despite the anonymity, Marshmello's career blew up in 2015 when he began releasing tracks online, including remixes of Zedd's "Beautiful Now," Jack Ü's "Where Are U Now," and others. From there came shows at New York's Pier 94, Pomona, California's HARD Day of the Dead festival, and Miami Music Week. In 2016, Marshmello released a compilation of his previously released tracks, Joytime, which reached number one on a digital top electronic albums chart. Included on the album was the single "Keep It Mello," featuring rapper Omar LinX. He continued to perform and release singles throughout the year, later starting his own Joytime Collective record label. In 2017, Marshmello released collaborations with Ookay, Noah Cyrus, Khalid, and Blackbear. - iTunes Lil Peep Gustav Elijah "Gus" Åhr (November 1, 1996 – November 15, 2017), known by his stage name Lil Peep, was an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Lil Peep was known for being part of a "post-emo revival style of hip-hop". Lil Peep died of an accidental fentanyl overdose on November 15, 2017. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History Marshmello 2017 03 Silence (Marshmello feat. 10 years since the start of Adele's 3 weeks at #2 behind Basshunter! That would never happen today. I think Now You're Gone deserved its 5 weeks at number 1. Amazing song, especially the buildup and drop - 'Ready, Ready, Ready For Takeoff'! and also the song was the start of a brief eurodance revival in 2008. Omg the new entries in that 2003 chart!! 'Year 3000', 'True', 'Mundian To Bach Ke' and 'Love Story' are all superb 'Love Story' is one of my favourite deep house songs of all time. Mundian Te Bach Ke I really liked at the time iirc and True is amazing, an early bassline garage tune well before the main 2007-8 phase for the genre and the song sstill sounds relevant now. Year 3000 was of course a school disco anthem back then (I was 10 at the time). This post has been edited by The Snake : 19th January 2018, 03:55 PM |

52,000 sales in one week for No Surprises! A song like that would be lucky to sell 52,000 copies in total these days - and that includes the made-up sales from streams.

I can't believe 5 years ago Britney had a #1 in the UK. She seems so not relevant at all in the UK for decades unfortunately.
