Seems there’s an additional image been put up now confirming it’s a party and not a new episode

Disappointed it's not a new episode (I kind of gathered that with the wording of the original post - and I guess she kinda gave us the ending the show deserved really?), but this should be pretty funny either way!

It is indeed a 'celebratory party' special they're doing rather than an episode - she's Tweeted an edited version of the above to that effect. But TBH I am here for anything new Miranda related. I still watch my boxset at least three times a year that I know it all word for word. It's just so joyous to see her dip her toe back into comedy where she belongs!

Being filmed at the London Palladium on 11th November for a Christmas broadcast TBC, on BBC One. She posted some shots from rehearsals on Instagram this week as well!
Just whilst we're here...favourite episodes? I've always loved the therapist office and the episode where she goes on holiday to the Hamilton Lodge (or the 'Amanda Barnes' episode) |

MOIST PLINTH is a classic Absolutely. Mainly because it was coming straight after the 'Gary marrying Tamara for a green card' episode which was brilliant in itself. The fact it was a bottle episode and that she nailed just as well as the other episodes that series was a mark of her comedic genius. |

The Dinner Party is up there with my absolute fave of the show. So many funny moments that I don't want to spoil for you, though there is a fart joke that was surprisingly funny and well-timed (considering that it's a type of humour I don't really like in media)
Also, The New Me, Let's Do It, Holiday and Before I Die (with her reading Mein Kampf to little kids in the library. XD) Also, agree with Prettylittlebry on the MOIST PLINTH moment. |

The special, called 'My Such Fun Celebration', is confirmed for a New Year's Day broadcast on BBC One: I'm absolutely raging that we've got to wait until New Year's to see this whilst Mrs Brown's sodding Boys gets put on Christmas Day again like an unfunny barnacle stuck to a ship. Safe to say the Beeb schedulers have lost it completely this year. |

IIRC New Year's Day gets higher ratings now usually than Christmas Day in general - I'm not surprised they're airing it then.

Yass! I do wish they brought out a new series altogether though but I'll take it!

That. Was awesome! And has also reminded me how much I miss the series. Quite literally such fun! I won't spoil it for anyone yet to see but a lot of surprises. There is also a new laugh of the season (or several) from Patricia Hodge

I had such low expectations for this but it was really fun in a warm hearted variety show kind of way. Pleasantly surprised.
