I AM FUMING.

OLLY MURS JUST CONFIRMED HE'S PERFORMING AT THE BRITS.

I DON'T GET IT. I JUST DON'T. I AM FUMING.

POOR WILL. HE NEVER GOT THAT IN HIS LEAVE RIGHT NOW YEAR, I AM SO MAD. IT SHOWS A MOCKERY OF THE WHOLE THING
ITS NOT ABOUT THE TALENTED ONES IT'S ABOUT THE 'IN' THING. WHAT A OVERSIGHT.

What does Will have to do!

Olly bloody Murs gets a slot when they could have had Will and the dancers singing Jealousy!

it stinks! mad.gif

QUOTE(sajjadali @ Jan 25 2012, 09:50 PM) *
The reality of the whole situtation is that Will won and had his massive year in Leave Right Now at a time when
the Brits overlooked reality tv and would snub anyone who come from it.

Right now, reality tv is embraced - Leona Lewis was aknowledged, but Susan Boyle had a even bigger year and was not a few years ago.
The sad thing Olly's been invited because he's had a massive year, sadly true. But i think Will getting a No.1 album and top 5 single 10 years
on and to create the amazing album he has deserves even more reconigiton.

Will's year to win Best male was 2004 - but they gave it to Daniel Bedingfield who is now forgetton. Will that Leave Right Now should have been
asked to perform and have won.
It's the public that have always looked out for Will - and he will always has 'Best Breakthrough' and 'Best Single - Your Game' under his belt.

QUOTE(sajjadali @ Jan 25 2012, 09:52 PM) *
Just like on the nominations night i have now recovered. I yelped out loud when i found in a spoke in a pitch i've never spoken in ever before.....

Will should be there performing.

Obviously ITV have helped Olly get this slot, no wonder it's late announced.
This is like Cheryl Cole getting a slot with FFTL, she had a huge year that year (PS i'm a huge fan of GA) but i think Olly and Cheryl are both
there to get the Brit show ratings.

If he's performing he'll have a higher chance to win that award, unless that category won't have phone voting that night.

I'm so angry.
Someone should do a award show like the NTA's for music (i know they use to do it) Will would have won a few times.
Will won Best Male, Best Newcomer, and Best Album when they use to do the National Music Awards.

PS. What do they have against Will?

QUOTE(sajjadali @ Jan 25 2012, 09:59 PM) *
I don't think Will likes Olly Murs much, i think he sees him more as Cowell's attempt to have a succesful Male solo artist under his belt
to get at Will AND sees him copying a few of Will's tricks abit.

For me what says it all, is Robbie Williams winning SO many times before having a very average singing voice.

Will a while back was asked did you see Olly perform with the Muppets on X Factor what did you think
He answered......yes i did, i like the muppets and made no reference to Olly.

The fact of Olly is he has a very average voice i've always said that, but the marketing and PR that has gone into making him have this massive
year is shocking. I don't hate his music i find myself listening to it most of the time. But i don't think he deserves to perform after just being
in the biz for 2 years, when someone like Will has been doing this for 10 years and it's obvious the public obviously like him - i.e the sales.

Why does Will always have to face off the 'in' thing - The voice this year made me mega mad, then the no nomination and to get someone inferior
to perform when Will has been a brilliant option all these years.

Will's done Concert for Diana, Party at Palace, Royal Variety Performances twice, Olympic torch concert and many more. Brits only
matter because the record industry like em so much.

QUOTE(sajjadali @ Jan 25 2012, 10:09 PM) *
Reading this makes me feel so much better - a list of all the awards Will has won
http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4697

NMA's Best male, album and newcomer
Brits Best newcomer, Best single
3 Number 1 albums. 4 Number 1 singles.
9 Million record sales
Voted the greatest artist of all time twice
Most popular UK artist of all time voted by radio listeners
Digital Music awards - Best artist of the year
w00t.gif

Weird how nearly all the awards he's won have been given to him by the public.
If Will was nominated, and Best male was decided by phone voting he'd have won by now.
The Brit performance and best male win is the last thing left.

Personally think he'll win a grammy before he wins a Brit. wub.gif

I really can't be bothered getting angry over this, nothing is going to change for Will regarding the Brits and at least Will's still around and being successful after his 2 Brit wins, I can name over a dozen previous performers and winners who aren't.

That's the way I feel suggy. It won't change a thing and it probably just spoils enjoyment of what Will does.

The Brits is crap.

I totally agree with both of you. The whole thing is a waste of time and means "almost" nothing as far as credibilty is concerned.

I wish i could say it means nothing, but it does to the record industry.
Its the most coveted prize in the music industry in the UK.
I honestly think Will would love to win Best Male, it would be a real accomplishment- it's tough but i can still see him winning it one day, but he upped his game so much with this new album i think it was a perfect time.

It's nice they've put him on the Brits CD. Personally think he was defintely 6th in the voting for the Brits.
The thing that makes me feel better, is that the Brits panel dont sit on a table and go who shall we nominate/snub
They all vote annoymously ticking off who they want to nominate/win and the five most ticked become the nominees.
Then they dont do a new ballot after the nominations apparently, the same vote is used to reveal the winner - it's the person with the most
first place rankings.
That to me leads to a definite win for Ed Sheeran. That is why the most hyped person usually wins.
I think a new rule of combined public and panel voting would lead to better winners. Apart from Will changing his musical style there is not much motivation nominating someone who has been around for ten years doing very well. They did nominate him 5 times for Best Male and was beaten by others, so they dont hate him. But the longer your career goes on, you will never have the hype at your time of debut. I think for Will to win he'd have to have a huge year - No.1 single and album, million selling album, a song that really breaks out every where including radio 1, and alots of publicity and i think with the right song this is going to happen maybe on the next album or the one after that.

I still dont think it means nothing sad.gif but Will is course for a double platinum album which went to No.1, and a top 5 single that has done really well. I don't think Will has anything to worry about - this would be the 'cherry on the cake'.

I like that too except it freezes my ipad and I have to switch off and on again to move elsewhere. Watching some YouTubes does the same.

No blush.gif I don't think I've had the iPad attached to my pc since I got it and put some stuff on the iPod. Better try that then, thanks Sunday. biggrin.gif The laptop still plays silly buggers since it got restored after Vista crashed so I try to avoid it.

I can get the Vevo video up on the iPad now. It wasn't there when I was looking first thing.
