There isn't too much information about a new album from Calvin Harris, but he has been in the studio with John Newman and Theo Hutchcraft from Hurts, which was posted by him on Snapchat some days ago. Even, almost a month ago when Capital FM took one of his pictures in the studio mentioning that he was cooking up a future banger, John replied this. Oh! And two weeks ago, Calvin mentioned the following when he asked about a new single. From Twitter: QUOTE I'm trying to release at least 8 singles this year to make up for there just being 1 last year. Tracklist: 1. "Slide" (feat. Frank Ocean & Migos) 2. "Cash Out" (feat. ScHoolboy Q, PARTYNEXTDOOR & D.R.A.M.) 3. "Heatstroke" (feat. Young Thug, Pharrell Williams & Ariana Grande) 4. "Rollin" (feat. Future & Khalid) 5. "Prayers Up" (feat. Travis Scott & A-Trak) 6. "Holiday" (feat. Snoop Dogg, John Legend & Takeoff) 7. "Skrt On Me" (feat. Nicki Minaj) 8. "Feels" (feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean) 9. "Faking It" (feat. Kehlani & Lil Yachty) 10. "Hard To Love" (feat. Jessie Reyez) |

I feel like this is the album Calvin needs to start taking a different direction. Another 18 Months/Motion wouldn't really work I don't think? Although How Deep Is Your Love worked really well so I guess something 'progressive' but not too different would work.

Theo Hurts and John Newman having both been in 'Motion' give the idea that this will be similar, but hopefully he's learnt from 'How Deep Is Your Love' doing so well that his sound needs to progress.
Of course I'm looking forward to this anyway, looks like 2016 will be the year of Calvin Harris |

I'm pretty certain that 'How Deep Is Your Love' sounding so different for him was mainly due to Disciples' involvement.

I do hope the John Newman collab is better than "Blame".
Looking forward to this! |

Can't wait and great to hear he is working with John Newman again as I loved their collaboration. Motion is my favourite album so far.

From Instagram:
QUOTE Good times with @calvinharris @emilnava @gillespiemark @dizzeerascal @johnnewmanmusic 😃 Improving my British English a lot haha Oliver Heldens has been on Calvin's studio with John Newman and Dizzee Rascal. Besides them, Ellie Goulding, BURNS and Generik have been there as well. Ellie wasn't on the same day as the aforemetioned, but the latters were.(I think that the pic is too big, so I avoided to post it here. Sorry.) From Twitter: QUOTE Had so many people pass through the studio the last 2 weeks it's been so refreshing and we got a ping pong table next level vibes over here. From Twitter: QUOTE Feeling fantastic I hope everyone has an amazing day I can't wait to play you the new songs.

From Twitter: QUOTE 8 years after my first #1 I produced for this man...feels great to be back in a studio with @dizzeerascal I guess this is the confirmation that Dizzee Rascal is on board too.

Calvin Harris did an Instagram Live on Monday, where he previewed a new track called "Hard to Love".
From Your EDM: QUOTE Instagram just introduced its new Live Stories capabilities today, in an effort to bring fans and influencers even closer together (Facebook owns Instagram, so the live feature was only a matter of time).
One of the first to go live on the platform was Calvin Harris, who's currently in the studio working on music. Shawn Mendes showed up for a bit, but really we're interested in this bit of the video when he was showing off a tune called "Hard To Love." |

I think I stumbled upon one of Jessie's songs during a SoundCloud trawl - she kinda sounds like Bibi Bourelly.

I wasn't planning to bump this after Calvin mentioned that he will release singles, but I think that an album could still be a possibility after he mentioned last month that he has 10 upcoming tracks to release this year (link) and the tweets he made several hours ago.
QUOTE "In 2017 I'm making music to make your soul happy !!!! Not feel good music. Feel INCREDIBLE music. More joyful music in 2017. I feel like it's missing from the world. And it was missing from my life. So I created it !!!! I worked with the greatest artists of our generation !!! I'm in the mixing stage now. I listen back and can't believe what we created !!!!! So excited to share this with you !!! !! Can u tell." So far, as far as I know, he has pending tracks with John Newman, Ellie Goulding and Jessie Reyez, plus possible collaborations with Frank Ocean, Young Thug and, likely, Kehlani. Even, Travis Scott, Pharrell Williams and Big Sean may be included too, so I really hope that he could release an album after all. That said, if this happens, I assume it will include "How Deep Is Your Love", "This Is What You Came For", "My Way" and, probably, "Hype" too. |
