So, over and above the scheduling changes that see Glee move forwards in the to 8/7c timeslot This is our little S2 spoiler thread.
We are in for new cast members including a BF for Kurt. Apparently they are set to become a proper powah couple an everything. Good old Brit is promoted to a Series regular and we have 3 demotions in the form of Tina, Emma and Terri.
And thats what you missed last time on GLEE
New time should be good for the show.
Also seeing via Twitter; "#Glee to air after Super Bowl!"
After the Superbowl?
AMAZING
that'd be such an awesome lead in!
New time means it could be affected by the Baseball World Series like Bones is
I know I'm excited to see the ratings for this already
According to Ausiello it's going to be "a special ep".
How many viewers does the SuperBowl pull in? Isn't it like 60million viewers or something!? When is the SB anyway? Will it be on during the new series of Glee, or would they have to make an episode for example, just so it airs after? (Get what I mean? )
Oh and I'm pinning this until Season 2 starts
I think season 2 is coming around September-ish... I could be wrong though. I hope we have it soon after the US again, and don't have to wait But imagine the uproar in iTunes of both X-Factor AND Glee making the charts? haha
That would be amazing!!! It'd be worth it just to see the iLoons go mental
Special ep following Super Bowl will be February 6, 2011
Yes, that's a Sunday
If it does air after the superbowl it should get INCREDIBLE ratings!
I know
Furthur update -
Awww f***.
Fox playing about with timeslots is never ever a good sign.
EDIT: It seems they are moving it coz of idol, which provides it's spring lead. Which is a good thing as it currently has an AI lead in
I know. Not impressed with that at all.
The Tuesday at 8 and Super Bowl news had to be balanced out lol
It was always going to be dicked about by AI. I'm just glad that Bones hasn't moved and is staying in the same timeslot for the entire season. Shows Fox has some faith in us, and Bones should be back for Season 7. Plus Bones has been here there and everywhere.
Glee might settle down into a consistent slot in it's 3rd or 4th season This is Fox afterall.
You beat me to it you hussies
Special Episode of GLEE to Air Following SUPER BOWL XLV
Sunday, February 6, 2011
Season 2 will begin in mid-September if it's on FOX's Fall Schedule and I guess they muck it about with American Idol due to the musical connection.
I also read FOX are considering 25 episodes for the second season so I guess they'll divide it in half again?
AI has also had it's airtime slashed right back this season as well
Also they plan on running from September - early December then returning for the rest of the season after the Superbowl episode
So yayy!
Fabulous, that gives us room for a longer season
It’s official: The music of Madonna will be coming back to “Glee.”
Series head honcho Ryan Murphy confirmed the rumors on Monday at the Peabody Awards in New York City. “We are, we’re doing a sequel to the Madonna (episode),” he told Access Hollywood.
Earlier this season, “Glee” broke tradition and devoted an entire episode to only Madonna songs, but the date when Madonna will reign supreme for a second time, musically anyway, on the show is the only thing that has to be nailed down.
When asked if it will occur next season, Murphy said, “Probably. Yeah.”
Madonna is a fan of the show, after having watched it with her teenage daughter, Lourdes, and the rumors continue to run rampant that she will make a cameo on the hit FOX program. “I can’t say,” Murphy told Access about Madonna’s rumored role. “But she’s sort of the muse of our show, I think now.” She loves the show and has supported it. She gets the show is about arts education and so she’s very supportive about that.”
Sorry, I didn't see your season 2 thead delete or move it if you want too.
I'll merge it with it
Thanks for the info!
Taken from Tyler, in the Britney forum...
OH MY GOD EPIC THOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quinn could sing Womanizer to Puck or Piece Of Me
'Piece Of Me' would be great for her too actually! Rachel could sing 'Lucky'
Yep. Terri got demoted as a main character faster than she got demoted from our Glee Banner. Shame.
I wonder if the UK will continue airing Season 2 one week after it does in America or if they'll hold back until the start of 2011? I should think the former, considering the huge demand for the show now...
It sucks for Tina but she's hardly had any airtime all year anyway so hardly surprising. Emma is a shame too! They could do so much mroe with that character. Terri is understandable considering she's pretty much useless now her marriage is over.
And I'm sorry and don't wish to offend anybody - but I REALLY do not want a Britney episode
Terri?
A while ago I posted that Tina, Puck and Emma would be demoted after reading it on another forum. It's been denied by the bosses though apparently.
We do have alot of casting for S2 though. They've got a male version of Mercedes joining, a rival for Rachel and a boyfriend for Kurt (I think these are the 3 new characters for S2).
We also have the promotions of Brittany and Santana to look forward to.
Emma's also got a love interest coming up in the shape of her dentist. I'm not sure if this is for Season 2 or the end of the current season though.
And S2 will also see a love interest for Terri.
Oh, and Idina Menzel and Jonathon Groff have both hinted they will be back for S2
Idina is probably so they can work on the mother/daughter storyline I hope.
I'm wondering which one of the new characters will be the winner of their auditions, that they're doing through myspace. I hope Sam Tsui, who has auditioned, gets a part.
Sounds awesome! Mercedes in particular deserves some love and the Rachel rival is obviously going to be very hilarious. It would be wonderful [and comedy gold] if she acted the way Rachel does but also had her own quirks too.
I can tell it's going to be another awesome season
Digital Spy says Brittany will have an ep focused on her!!
All the information from Ryan Murphy sounds brilliant, quite looking forward to see how Rachel deals with a rival singer!
And at Brittany getting an episode to herself!
The Rocky Horror episode will be the Halloween episode!
The Rocky Horror episode is 205 and a EP will be released of the music from it. We are getting a Superbowl EP and two full length albums, one from fall the other from Spring.
For those of you with taste, Quinn is singing a duet with Sam [ ] in 204 which is titled Duet. Mercedes is doing River Deep Mountain High with Santana in 204 as well which will be epicness.
Merceded is also doing an Aretha Franklin number in 203 [Grilled Cheesus] but the title hasn't been announced yet.
Oh and in Rocky Horror, a certain guidance councillor is singing.
Well, it would make sense seeing as that certain guidance counsellor is likely singing the track she auditioned for the part with!
They are killing someone off in this years regionals episode. The Glee Cast are told about the death just before the showdown, having a huge impact on their big performance. My guess is that it will be Karofsky.
Why do I get the feeling it'll be Emma?
I'm refusing to use spoilers in the spoiler thread.
Most theories on this are heading towards it being Pavarotti (the bird). Major impact on The Warblers and could lead to Kurt (and plus Blaine maybe?) back in New Directions. Of the actual characters Karofsky makes sense, but I hear he's promised a happy ending and would just be too 'depressing' really. Carl could be a likely candidate too I suppose.
Not going to be any of the 15 regulars. Mike O'Malley (Burt) is confirmed to be signed on for Season 3 from all accounts. Might be Terri but I really want a happy storyline for her too. (or you know, just any sort of appearance at this rate)
I considered Jean but I dont think they'd do that to Sue. There's Carole, but that would be just cruel.
On the whole, unless it's the bird, I dont think this is a good idea. Too depressing, too dark, and would probably be handled horribly and forgotten about immidetly afterwards. And considering the hideous mess that was the episode where there was only a heart attack, I dread to think of awfulness Rachel will sing if someone actually dies.
Interesting spoiler going round at the moment -
Terri returns in Episode 17 with some shocking news for Will- she's pregnant for real this time!
I don't know where the best place is to post this, but the season finale has been confirmed for Tuesday 24th May at the later time of 9/8c
I've got some info from Glee wiki - as it's a wiki take it with a pinch of salt, but just thought I'd share. I REFUSE to use spoiler tags too a la Aled:
Episode 21 is called Funeral, in which someone will die, and it will devestate 'one of McKinley's own'. The wiki page says it's NOT Terri, Emma or Sue. My guess is Becky, because they are casting her mother. I can't see who else it would be, unless it's a parent of ND? Or Holly/April?
In the same episode, a major couple will break up (obviously Artanny ).
A few rumours going round regarding Nationals too - apparently in the episode the girls of ND sing Wannabe (surely it'd be on Volume 6 if so - I doubt it's true), plus Santana and Mercedes () will sing...
Videophone by Beyonce! Sam will get a solo (best not be the nationals solo) and Vocal Adrenaline sing Meet Me Halfway (lol, wasn't Charice meant to be singing that in 'Sue Sylvester Bowl Shuffle'?). Patti Lupone will also guest star as herself, and Rachel will sing one of her songs.
I would've started the Funeral episode thread, I just think it's too early. I was also going start a thread for all this info, but then I remembered this for all the spoilers!
I though Ep20 was the prom episode???
You're right Silas, sorry it was a typo - I meant episode 21!
That makes sooooooooooooo much more sense now
'Videophone'?
SERIOUSLY?? Well that can't make it any worse than it already is, can they?! And 'Wannabe' COULD be possible I'm sure the Nationals will get their own EP/Album thing.
A Santana/Mercedes duet in episode 21, when they're already meant to be doing one in episode 20? And they're doing a terrible song
Someone on DS (+ Glee forum) posted a song list for the Prom episode, which included them two doing ABBA. Now Liam says they're doing 'Videophone' in the episode after.
edit: Oh, does Liam mean Nationals? Sorry, episode 21 was mentioned earlier in his post, I got confused.
But 'The Boy Is Mine' is completely different to 'Videophone'. (Most notably it's not utter ear-rape)
I just wish we could have a Glee Cast cover of GaGa's 'Paparazzi'! That'd suit a 'Toxic'/'Don't Stop Believin''/'Teenage Dream' sort of production so, so much! I'm surprised they haven't already done it in all honesty.
Yeah, I suppose TBIM is proper R&B and Videophone has like a hip-hop element to it. I still think it'll suit Santana/Mercedes. And it is in Nationals episode - episode 21 is Funeral and all the songs will probably be mellow, it'd be a bit innapproiate to sing Videophone at a funeral and it'd be out of place in the episode even if they sing it before they hear of the death. And one, two or all Rachel/Quinn/Santana singing Paparazzi would be epic!
Has it already been mentioned that there are supposed to be four new cast members in Season 3, along with five new writers (which should hopefully mean the storylines pick up a bit).
And has it been posted that they are meant to be doing 'Parachute' in the first episode? I remember reading that in The Sun, and although it's a bit soon for them to be deciding on songs, it is good promo considering Cheryl is now in TXF(US).
I heard about 'Parachute' (think I read it in the Girls Aloud forum) but I would far prefer Quinn to sing 'Fight For This Love', especially considering the situation she'd be in with Finn and Rachel. But it's obviously going to be Rachel performing 'Parachute' (which is one of my least favourite Cheryl songs )
Isn't the winner of "The Glee Project" scheduled to have a 6 or 7 episode stint? Are they included as one of the four new cast members?
I'm unsure on whether they're counted as one of the four (hopefully, as I think five in total could be a bit too much all at once), but I did think of The Glee Project when Sam & Mercedes got together. If a male won TGP, weren't they meant to be playing a love interest for Mercedes. Just wondering if anythings changed now.
I'm happy with Parachute though. The only Cheryl single I'd probably listen to out of choice these days. I am interested with what happens regarding Quinn next season, but I hope they don't drag it out too long as I see Rachel/Finn as an end-game couple
If a Cheryl song is sung in early season 3 then they've been asked to do so by Fox to help remove the 'WHO????' element from her on the X Factor USA panel.
Not exactly a spoiler, but it's rumoured that 'We Found Love' will be covered this series - I'm not sure in which episode though.
Glee is confirmed to return with 'The Proposal' after the Christmas break on 17th January. There will be a break of some length starting 6th March.
So we should get 7 episodes before the break, and the other 6 will probably return during April & May.
From Digital Spy:
The January 24th episode (11th of this season) is reported to be a Michael Jackson tribute, following the already covered 'ABC', 'Man In The Mirror' & 'Thriller'. Filming should start on Friday, with half being shot before the Christmas break and half after. Hopefully the fact it's being "fast tracked" due to how much the cast enjoyed doing the MJ performances at sectionals doesn't mean that it'll feel rushed.
-
Sam & Mercedes should are doing 'Summer Nights' from Grease in episode 10 I think, there's a clip on YT that someone filmed as they were shooting at some high school. A Grease themed episode would be totally amazing.
Lea Michele confirmed at the premiere of 'New Year's Eve' that she'd just recorded a David Guetta song that they "turned into a ballad".
Another Digital Spy story:
Gloria Estefan and Pitbull as Santana's family?
My god this is gonna be epic
I was wondering who on earth Santana had come out to, if her mother was yet to appear. Turns out that was her grandmother in I Kissed a Girl. Pitbull will most likely be unbearable, so I really hope I'm proven wrong.
I found the whole Santana thing confusing - she knows her parents, but she doesn't live with them, she lives with her grandmother? Or do they all live together and it's just her grandmother that owns the house if she was throwing her out?
Also, am I right in thinking we saw a photo of Rachel's Dads in S1? Just thinking about continuity, but since the show has never cared about that before..
'Wanna Be Startin' Something' and 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You' are set to feature in the MJ special.
http://www.tvguide.com/News/Glee-Michael-Jackson-Tribute-1040792.aspx.
They're doing a Bee Gees/Saturday Night Fever tribute in April.
Enough with the tribute episodes. One or two a season, that's fine. But please don't go overboard! At least do a "British Invasion" episode or something (That way they can bring in Jessie )
Samuel Larsen from The Glee Project is also officially joining from the Valentine's Day episode.
Matt Bomer has been cast as Blaine's brother and a couple of Duran Duran songs have been cleared for them to perform in an April episode.
Episode 14, the regionals episode airing on February 21st, is titled 'On My Way'. No idea right now as to whether we'll be getting any more original songs but I hope we do at some point this season (aside from the Christmas episode).
After already making the top 40 in the US, 'Glad You Came' is confirmed to feature in an upcoming episode!
Bizarre choice, it could work though
I wondering who on earth it could be... I thought of Whitney but they wouldn't have written the episode, cleared the songs etc. so relatively soon after her death would they? Perhaps Barbra Streisand, although if that was true then I'm sure would've hyperventilated a bit more on Twitter, iirc Barbra is one of her fave singers as well as her being Rachel's idol.
Tribute makes it seem like they're no longer with us, so unfortunately, a Whitney episode seems like it's approaching us The Madonna episode was so original/fantastic, now they just seem like they're trying to cram as many songs in as possible to make episodes featuring 1 artist's back catalogue.
I wish more episodes was like the 'Rumors' episode. That is definitely my favourite "tribute" episode. All the songs used were by Fleetwood Mac and dedicated to them. However, it somehow managed to be so well done, develop stories and it managed not to feel like a tribute episode. It also introduced the younger generation to an album, which they probably never would have bothered listening to out of choice.
It IS a Whitney tribute I've read, there will be 8 songs and the episode will centre around the bad feelings they all have about graduation.
Alex Newell (the forth Glee Project winner) will appear as a member of Vocal Adrenaline, alongside new coach Jessie St. James (Jonathan Groff).
I appreciate that the producers enjoyed him first time around, but it's really just showing that he's not gone very far in life, surely? Which is what series three is about...
We'll be meeting Puck's father [played by Thomas Calabro] in episode 18.
@msleamichele
I bet it's Because Of You. That's my favourite song of all-time, she had better do it justice...
Why do I get the feeling it's something less obvious, like 'Beautiful Disaster' (the piano led version)? Or at least I hope so!
BUT OH MY GOD. 'SOBER'?! Her singing it to Quinn whilst Quinn's at deaths door/at her funeral (if she has indeed died!)?! I'm sad/about to be in tears just thinking about it! LOL. Glad it's Lea getting the Kelly song and none of the others.
EDIT: Listening to 'Sober' again, and I don't want it to be anything else other than this!
Not really a spoiler, more news, but the big season finale is confirmed to air on May 22.
It's after Idol too so it should see a nice ratings boost.
To fit in all episodes it looks like we'll be getting a double bill on May 15th too.
Apparently the Kelly song that Lea is doing is 'Cry'? Good luck Lea.
Eep, not sure she will do Cry justice without it being karaoke....
Whoopi Goldberg will be part of three episodes later on in the season playing someone who works for NYADA. Lindsay Lohan could also be coming on board to play herself as a guest judge at nationals.
Also for anyone interested;
Not too sure where to put this, but this promotional picture has lead people to believe Brittany won't be graduating:
Was she realistically ever going to...?
EDIT: Okay - so let me get this straight, the following characters are of the following ages:
10th Grade [15-16] - Rory
11th Grade [16-17] - Artie, Blaine, Tina
12th Grade [17-18] - Rachel, Mike, Quinn, Finn, Kurt, Mercedes, Santana, Brittany, Puck
And we don't know Sugar's age - and with Rory unlikely to stay for next season, then there's going to be at least eight new characters joining the glee club then?!
Omg just heard the best rumour ever! Apparently Brittany is singing Ke$ha - Dinosaur in the prom ep Also heard Rachel and Santana are doing Love You Like A Love Song then as well!
She's here now
I missed Sam because I couldn't find a mention, and forget to add that to the end - what year is he supposed to be? Also, I thought Rory would be unlikely to stay because of his Visa running out, as mentioned in Heart... Joe has now joined New Directions though, so I assume he's a junior (unless it seems that audiences don't take to him), meaning one fewer new cast member for season four.
I'd assume Sam is 11th Grade since he's missing from the promo pictures but reports a while ago had suggested otherwise.
Rory's visa wasn't actually running out. The end of that episode was meant to indicate that he'd just said that so Sugar would pick him.
Oh I thought so, but never bothered to check! It would make sense having Sam and Sugar as juniors, but Sugar may even be a sophomore.
Episode 18 sounds interesting... Could we FINALLY get a version of 'Love the Way You Lie' (part II) ?! Also would that be the episode we get that Rachel/Kelly Clarkson song? 'Cry'.................. could be quite fitting actually...
Apparently, 'The Edge Of Glory' will be covered in the graduation episode.
I see Brittany won't be graduating? maybe repeating a year? Also I think the girl winner from the last Glee Project will feature more next series, she still has one more episode this series does she not? so i think that will be the finale and her enrolling to mckinley? I always thought Sam would be Junior this year so he has one more left.
Perez Hilton [URGH] & Rex Lee join Lindsay Lohan as the celebrity judges at Nationals.
The songs for the Nationals episode (21) have been released, and they are completely bizarre choices for both New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline:
New Directions:
"The Edge of Glory" (Lady GaGa)
"It's All Coming Back to Me Now" (Céline Dion)
"Paradise by the Dashboard Light" (Meat Loaf)
Vocal Adrenaline:
"Starships" (Nicki Minaj)
"Pinball Wizard" (The Who)
"Boogie Shoes" (KC and the Sunshine Band) [Apparently they're performing this again, which is the most bizarre decision]
Also, a massive Quinn spoiler:
'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' is absolutely beautiful. (Especially the Meat Loaf & Marion Raven version ) Not too familiar with Celine's version, but it'll suit Rachel to a tee!
Read quite a big spoiler regarding the end of Goodbye, I'm not sure if it's a massive spoiler or not tbh but I'll tag it in case:
It seems we will see Rachel go to New York, and she will sing the last musical number of the season, Marry The Night.
This could be good and inject new life into the show, or it could be absolutely fucking disastrous.
Some short info about three new characters.
Damian McGinty (Rory Flanagan) will not return at the beginning of the season.
Quelle surprise! They still need at least 5 new characters/members of the Glee club then...
Good. His character was annoying as hell.
Ryan Murphy has joined Twitter (@MrRPMurphy) and has been tweeting some spoilage info.
There's an episode called "The Break-Up", there's going to be a Demi Lovato track featured and the first group number is 'Chasing Pavements' by Adele.
I really hope it's Rachel doing 'Skyscraper'. (I guess it'd suit Santana too, but I'd prefer a little less of her - song wise - this season. Lots of her as a character still though please!)
Ooh YES Been waiting AGES for a Demi song to be covered! Better not just be Get Back or something covered by Artie or else, as it usually is when I'm excited about an artist being covered
Rumoured songlist for The New Rachel:
-"The Way We Were" by Barbra Streisand. Sung by Rachel
-"Chasing Pavements" by Adele. Sung by Kurt with New Directions
-"I Hope I Get It" from A Chorus Line. Sung by Cassandra and NYADA Dance Class
-"Another Suitcase in Another Hall" from Evita. Sung by Kurt and Blaine
-"Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake. Sung by Artie, Blaine, Brittany, Sam, & Tina with New Directions
Idk whether to spoiler it, I did though as it's a whole episode's songlist so just in case!
Also apparently Brittany is doing Gimme More in 4x02, the Britney tribute
Rachel's new style:
Dean Geyer looking gorgeous as ever
Brittany, Tina & Blaine are covering 'Call Me Maybe' in the first episode - which is now less than a month away. The winner of The Glee Project will first be showing up in episode 5.
I'm also quite interested in this tweet;
BLAINE. Let's just end this childish tomfoolery and just GET IT ON.
First photo of Sarah Jessica Parker
Were we already aware that her character name is Isabelle? I don't remember it.
I don't think so.
Thanks for these updates guys!
"The Break-Up" is episode 4 and is set to feature (BIG SPOILER): Blaine singing "Don't Speak" by No Doubt, possibly with the title in reference to him and Kurt breaking up. Video http://perezhilton.com/2012-08-24-darren-criss-no-doubt-set-video-glee-chris-colfer-klaine-breakup#.UDoRiNZlQpB with the story.
The Demi Lovato song is "Give Your Heart a Break" and is being covered by Rachel and Brody.
Episode 3. I'm not surprised it's that one they're doing and I love it just as much as 'Skyscraper' these days.
Santana & Brittany will be doing 'Mine' by Taylor Swift and I think that's episode 5.
!!!! Brittany and Santana do Taylor? DEAD.
GYHAB should be good, now it's been said it's a really obvious choice but I didn't really think of it
I don't know how much of a spoiler this is, but Rory hasn't left! He will be appearing around Thanksgiving time, whenever that it.
https://twitter.com/MrRPMurphy/status/241713209382432769
YAY! I really hope they're giving him a second chance. I really thought he had potential but he was ultimately wasted last season
Nolan Funk has been cast as the new lead Warbler, Hunter.
The next three episode titles once it returns from a month break in November will be 'The Role You Were Born to Play', 'Glease' ( - cringe title but at least they're doing the second best musical ever) and 'Dynamic Duets'.
Finally, a major shake-up is coming to New Directions and one theory is that it's Finn taking over as the director as Will goes off on the political stuff.
Well HELLO Hunter.
My jaw dropped at how hot he was but then I Googled him and the rest of his pictures are very so-so What happened to Sebastian anyway? (Hopefully this guy's a better singer than him anyway - Grant Gustin murdered "Glad You Came" [a hard feat to achieve] amongst other songs last season).
I really came to love their version of 'Glad You Came'!
'Born To Die' is the only LDR song I actually, even remotely like. So I'm very pleased it's that song and not the terrible 'Video Games'!
Dianna Agron is back on set! Her first apperance is most likely 4x07 [Dynamic Duos!]
Jessica Sanchez from season 11 of American Idol has been cast. No details yet but she's rumoured to be a new love interest for Finn. I'm interested to see what she'll be like - she's got a great voice (from the little that I've seen), so if it's written well, she could become the lead singer of New Directions
Ooh I saw that rumoured a while back (along with someone else from AI, Pia Toscano I think), she should've won it really, her voice is amazing.
Some song spoilers:

http://www.accesshollywood.com/sarah-jessica-parker-excited-to-perform-scissor-sisters-lets-have-a-kiki-on-glee-actress-also-talks-obama-and-trump_article_71774
http://www.alterthepress.com/2012/10/funs-some-nights-to-be-featured-on.html
'Let's Have a Kiki'? Scissor Sisters? Seems incredibly random but I can't wait to see how that turns out, hopefully it's a life giving performance.
Doesn't it have a fair amount of swearing too. I'm ready for more 'Starships'-like censorship.
Oh god no.
Well it can't be any worse than the group who did it last night on X Factor last night
It could be a hot mess, or just a cold mess. I know Jenna is Korean-American, I wonder if she can speak Korean to do the verses?
There's a Rachel, Santana and Quinn song coming up! It should be epic - source from Dianna Agron's Twitter:
It's meant to be "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles, for 4x12. Great song and even better with them three doing it!
'Love Song' Not heard that in absolutely AGES! I think I might die at those three doing it though. I hope it doesn't disappoint!
In 4x13 Tina is doing the best song ever, "Hung Up" by Madonna and Santana is doing "Girl On Fire". The song choices for the next few episodes are all so so good.
Omg Tina doing Hung Up, actually DEAD *.*
HOW have I only just discovered this forum??
OMG so excited for Hung Up <3
OMG. Welcome! I always thought you were aware, but just couldn't be bothered to post! I'd have let you know about it otherwise, as I'd seen you post about it often enough in the iTunes thread etc.! Glad you have found us though. Welcome
4x13 gets more amazing, Brittany is doing Dancing On My Own by Robyn <3
Oh GOD! Give it to someone who WON'T, more than likely butcher it please!
"Hung Up" LQ has leaked.
Kurt and Blaine are going to sing "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge in 4x15. The episode is said to be a "movie music" themed episode (so I'm guessing all musicals, rather than just songs used in musicals).
http://www.mjsbigblog.com/glee-season-4-spoilers-kurt-blaine-come-what-may-4x15-moulin-rouge-klaine.htm
There's also a clip of Ryan Murphy filming the episode script, suggesting an upcoming Finn/Emma romance?!
There's an LQ clip of Hung Up... It sounds AMAZING. I thought Diva was the next episode so it'd be out on the weekend, argggh need it now
Also apparently Dancing On My Own might be cut from the episode, dunno why but it says on Glee Wiki there's a possibility.
Full list for DIva:
Diva (Beyonce) - New Directions girls & Blaine
Don't Stop Me Now (Queen) - Blaine
Nutbush CIty Limits (Ike & Tina Turner) - Santana
Make No Mistake, She's Mine (Barbra Streisand & Kim Carnes) - Santana & Sam
Dancing On My Own (Robyn) - Brittany
Bring Him Home (Les Miserables) - Rachel & Kurt
Hung Up (Madonna) - Tina
Girl On Fire (Alicia Keys) - Santana
WHAT AN EPISODE MUSICALLY *.*
Eww. Cut 'Diva' not 'Dancing On My Own'. Seriously, 'Diva' is one of the worst "songs" ever recorded.
I think you're like, the only person (other than (I'm guessing) Eric_Blob - but I don't know his opinion on this song tbh! - it's atrocious so I think he'll like it ) I know who likes it, let alone classes it as one of her best songs. It's terrible. Sorry
I love it, when I'm drunk I dance hardcore to it.
Couple more exciting covers coming up. Jake, Marley and Artie are doing "Anything Could Happen" in episode 14 and "Diamonds" is getting mashed-up with "Diamonds Are Forever" for episode 15.
The Diamonds mash-up seems to have changed to "Sparkling Diamonds"/"Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend".
But in episode 16 Rachel & Brody are doing "How To Be A Heartbreaker"!
GO GRAB THAT TOP 100 SMASH IN GLEE FORM MARINA!
Yes Marina
Hahahaha I can't wait for that
I don't know what episode this is in reference to (it was tweeted yesterday) but Lea Michele has recently tweeted this:
*.*
Unique, Brittany, Kitty, Tina & Marley are doing "Wannabe" in episode 17 which is titled 'Guilty Pleasures'. Expecting it to be a WONDERFUL episode music wise.
If only it was a full Spice episode!
OMG *.* They're going to absolutely RUIN "Wannabe", but the visuals will be WORTH IT!
*dies*
WHAT THE FUCK.
Ryan Murphy step the FUCK away from the Spice Girls. Please god don't let him ruin this like he's slowly killed Glee.
Idina Menzel is returning to Glee. She'll be in the 19th episode of the third series, titled 'Sweet Dreams' which will focus on Rachel & Kurt's audition for Funny Girl.
"Don't Stop Believin'" is listed as a Rachel solo for episode 19. Will this be the 3rd time they've done it now - and the 2nd time this season when they've repeated a song?!
EPISODE 19. RACHEL & SHELBY DUET. EMELI SANDE.
Omggggg *.*
Marley will apparently be writing (and singing) an original song that is 'very Taylor Swift' too!
YES! I LOVE Marley. She's actually very close to over taking Rachel for me as my favourite Glee character! Really hope the song is good!
Jessica Sanchez from American Idol is playing a character called Frida Romero and she's singing "Clarity" by Zedd in the finale at Regionals.
OH MY! I want that regionals episode, like NOW!
That's like the best song line-up in an absolute AGE, I can't remember ever being this excited for a line-up of songs!
I'm so glad they are covering Wings.
I had reservations about coming into this thread but nothing too major has been revealed.
Season 5 will apparently have 4 new characters named Henry, Ruby, Julie and Ryan. o:
The first two episodes of season 5 are Beatles tributes, and Finn dies in episode 3 which will be followed by what Ryan Murphy says will be a 'long hiatus'.
As well as season five being the last for Emma, it's also the last for Will!
YAY
Even though Ryan Murphy stated he'd honour the S6 commitment I could still see this being the last season for everybody.
Who said they weren't
Glad about that, of course he's a central character but he really annoys me for some reason, never been terribly keen on him tbh.
Finn's death may not be drugs related but the cast are filming some Public service announcements and proceeds from the music featured in episode 3 will go to charity.
I think it's going to be anti-drugs episode, like Blame It On The Alcohol was anti-alcohol, Sexy was anti-sex etc... Thankfully there's only a three week break after Finn's death episode though!
Artie and Kitty will have a duet of You've Got To Hide Your Love Away by the Beatles.
Kurt and Blaine will have a duet of Got to Get You in My Life by the Beatles.
Also episode 1 is titled 'Love, Love, Love'
SQUEE. So excited beyond words, she's my idol <3
(hai 12 year old girl mentality)
Oh this could be exciting! Demi is a great singer (not sure how good she is at acting mind.. )
It has been confirmed that Demi's character is singing a duet of Here Comes The Sun with Santana!
DEMI *.*
I'm definitely here for her <3
Demi <3
-x-
Also spoilers regarding episode 2: It is the prom episode and Tina is prom queen and Stoner Brett is prom king
Demi has just been confirmed to appear by the Glee Facebook page:
Episode 3 will be titled: 'The Quarterback' and:
According to Ryan Murphy, we will not be told the cause of Finn's passing, and the episode will be about celebrating the character's life rather than grieving. The original plan was for the cause of Finn's death to be an overdose, in order to correspond with Cory's death, but it was later decided that it would have been too morbid for the fans and the cast.
Also, Seasons of Love from Rent will be performed in the episode. <3
OMG SEASONS OF LOVE i love that song and have been waiting for Glee to do it for years.
And I love that title. Very fitting. It's gonna be an emotional episode that's for sure.
Lea Michele posted this photo to Twitter a couple of days ago, I imagine it's from the same episode:
From everything we've heard so far, it sounds like it'll be incredibly emotional
Low-quality preview of Klaine's duet in episode 1
I don't know if this has been posted already, but apparently there's a rumour that Demi will be playing a lesbian lover for Santana.
That news has come from Naya herself. Really looking forward to seeing them have so much interaction.
I did see whispers from Lovatics on Twitter a few days ago but I assumed they were being hopeful like me, OMG I AM SO READY It was what I immediately wanted when I saw Demi was confirmed, idk why.
Demi has been filming with Naya yesterday and will be filming with Naya & Chris today.
Oh God no Rachel up until the final moments? Im literally already tearing up!
GUYS we have a full song *_*
'All You Need Is Love'
ALSO, for episode 4, they are singing: Applause and Judas by Lady Gaga and Roar by Katy Perry. Adam Lambert's character is singing the two Gaga songs.
Episode 4 is titled 'A Katy or A Gaga'
Adam Lambert's character (named Starchild ) is singing Marry the Night by Gaga
Sam, Marley, Artie, Ryder and Blaine are singing Applause by Gaga
Then for confirmed Katy songs:
New Directions, Rachel, Santana, Kurt and Adam Lambert + Demi Lovato's characters are singing Roar
Tina, Unique, Jake and Kitty are singing Wide Awake
Can't wait for these songs in the future. <3
Ryan Murphy tweeted that episode 5 is called 'The End of Twerk'
Are they doing Miley???
Santana for We Can't Stop please *.*
Episode 5 song spoilers:
• "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke. Sung by Kitty and Artie.
• "You Are Woman, I Am Man" from Funny Girl. Sung by Paolo and Rachel.
• "If I Were a Boy" by Beyonce. Sung by Santana and Unique.
• "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus. Sung by Marley with New Directions.
• "On Our Way" by The Royal Concept. Sung by New Directions.
OMG! No way are they doing my BJSC smash. "On Our Way" to do a "We Are Young" following this pls.
Makes up for them doing the worst song of the year.
I'm sure Wrecking Ball will be amazing *.*
I do quite like Unique's voice, but I agree with Theo it could be immense as a Santana solo.
Episode 6 is a Billy Joel tribute called "Movin Out". They're doing these songs:
“Movin’ Out”
“Piano Man”
“My Life”
“Honesty”
“An Innocent Man”
“Just The Way You Are”
Because obviously they've already done the major one I care for ("Uptown Girl")!
Some singers have changed,
Blurred Lines is now by: Artie Abrams, Bree, Kitty Wilde, Jake Puckerman, and Will Schuester [WILL SCHUESTER?!]
Wrecking Ball is just by Marley not with New Directions as well
If I Were a Boy is just Unique, not Santana as well
and the other two are the same
Oh gosh
That song does make sense for Unique but ARGH. Another amazing Santana solo that never was (still weeping for Landslide, except she doesn't even get backing vocals here!)
And OH GOD, Will is going to do the rap bit isn't he? Wrecking Ball is sure to be stunning though, if done properly <3
Wrecking Ball will either be a hot orgasm or a hot mess.
If I Were A Boy though, unique is going to SLAY that.
Also,
Episode 6 spoiler songs:
Movin' Out - Blaine and Sam
Honesty - Artie
An Innocent Man - Ryder
My Life - Jake
Piano Man - Blaine
Just The Way You Are - Sam, Blaine, Kurt, Santana and Rachel.
'If I Were A Boy' is going to be atrocious with Unique's annoying, over singing all over it.
Episode 7 is titled 'Puppet Master' and the songs for the episode:
Into the Groove - Madonna
Cheek to Cheek - Fred Astaire
Nasty/Rhythm Nation - Janet Jackson
You're My Best Friend - Queen
We Can't Stop - Miley Cyrus
Don't You (Forget About Me) - Simple Minds
NASTY AND INTO THE GROOVE OH MY FUCK
Dani is part of Into The Groove asdfghjkl
Her, Kurt, Rachel and Starchild are in a Madonna covers band and cover it <3
UGH.
For episode 7 they have replaced 'We Can't Stop' for 'The Fox'
FOR FOX ACHE. Ugh.
I have nothing against 'The Fox', but I was really looking forward to 'We Can't Stop'!
OMG
I was really looking forward to We Can't Stop too but I couldn't be happier with the replacement tbh. *.*
Can't wait to see more of Adam Lambert and Demi. This band is the best thing to happen in a while my 3 best characters/singers with 2 of my fave artists
YES i'm loving Pamela Landsbury <3

Every Breath You Take by The Police - Rachel Berry and Santana Lopez
Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson - Artie Abrams, Blaine Anderson and Tina Cohen-Chang
SO excited for Breakaway.
Don't tell Liam
Brave Some really nice choices there, Starchild/Adam should do a great performance of The Darkness, very suited. Not bothered by another Christmas ep but loling at the idea of them doing the Chipmunks.
Santana doing Don't Rain On My Parade? WHAT? Not amused.
I Believe In A Thing Called Love though. #ejaculate HOW AWESOME.
btw, we won't see Episode 9 until MAY folks. MAY.
Can't wait for I Believe In a Thing Called Love with Adam
At this rate it'll be lucky to get a 6th season.
f***ING ARTIE ON BREAKAWAY?!?! Ugh.
Blaine and Tina to slay it though And two Sanchel duets plus Santana doing Rain On My Parade <3
Ryan Murphy has tweeted that Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, Mark Salling, Kristin Chenoweth, Harry Shum Jr and Amber Riley are coming back for the 100th episode!!
FINALLY some more Quinn! I'm glad that April is coming back too, we've not seen her since season two have we?!
Quinn returns??? Hell yes.
QUINN APPRECIATION.

This episode is the Nationals episode. Excited for ISHFWILF <3
Jean Baptiste is the lead singer of a rival Glee Club, played by Skylar Astin from Pitch Perfect
Lea tweeted that Gwenyth Paltrow is on set for 100
Happy about Quinn, not so much about Holly!
The article linked below talks a lot about the final season, whether we'll be seeing the new kids again, where it'll be set (not in New York? ), how it may end...and it talks about the final season having 24 episodes (since they've had two less for season 5 I guess) but I expected half that given the ratings, who knows, it could well change.
http://tvline.com/2014/04/15/glee-season-6-spoilers-returning-cast/
Not sure how a setting other than New York will work but maybe it fits with the time jump... Interesting read anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how the final season pans out!
And here I was thinking it was doing so bad that Season 6 would probably be a 13-episode season.
Wow, that is a pointless move... Spencer sounds interesting as a middle finger to the stereotype but as the final season and with only 13 episodes what we don't need is time spent getting to know new characters that could be used tying up loose ends with the old characters we know, love and care about.
Yay for team gay!
This makes no sense, they had backlash from the fans originally after the newbies in s4, then we grew to love them, THEN they take them away to focus on the originals... and now NEW newbies?!!
They best be decent.
YES TO THE SEASON TWO JUSTIN BIEBER EXPERIENCE GIF
I think the shows in the last stretch they don't care about fudging things up, if you know what I mean?
I would rather they scrapped the glee club and focused on New York.
I guess its the only way to keep Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch in
If they ever got rid of Jane Lynch </3
This show is like a parody of itself.
THEY CAN'T BANISH NEW YORK WHAT IS THIS? I demand to have a meeting with the writers, this is so not on!
Oh dear, they can never make their mind up about the direction of the show can they!!
(In other news, I heard their cover of 'Marry the Night' in the Harvester I just went to! What is this... recognition of a Season FIVE song outside the fandom?! hah!)
Sounds good but I agree they probably should have just settled on the New York focus for the final season, at least that would see us through the end with the characters we really know and love. It just makes the show somewhat disjointed between seasons almost :/
This isn't extremely recent news but I've just found out that Max George from The Wanted is going to be playing the latest leader of Vocal Adrenaline, like.. lmao
YESSSSSS PROBLEM!
It's going to be odd seeing the show set in the 'future' yet performing 'current' songs. Maybe they'll have to write their own future pop hits.
It won't be in the future compared to current time though? It's just a six month time jump from the last episode (premiered in May 2014) to the next episode (premiered in "Early 2015") .. so if anything it will still be taking place behind current time lol.
Sugar Motta is returning for season six! *.* (from Harry Shum Jr.'s Facebook)
