Howdy unknown pleasurers! Everything is finally counted up and I can reveal that one of you has indeed pleasured us more than anyone else, but whom shall that be? This time around I'll be counting down the entrants in reverse order from 39th to 1st, finally revealing who sent what and finally which track has won. Starting this evening and I'll continue to count down until Vera, then the plan is to carry on tomorrow evening. I hope nobody minds not having their votes revealed as we go along, tbh I don't think anyone went to lots and lots of effort with their PMs that it would matter too much and I'll post the table at the end so you can see who voted for you, plus I'll mention who gave what medal positions as we go along. On a personal note, thank you all for bearing with me on this one - I know it's been frustrating/annoying/disappointing etc but hopefully people still enjoyed finding some music that they didn't previously know and, after all, that is the purpose of the contest! Oh and we had a couple of non-voters this time around, those entrants have received a deduction of 20 points (one maximum score) to equate to the max advantage that could have been gained. |

Morgan, Coque Malla • I'm Gone • Uhsting Welcome to the contest Uhsting! Alas your first entry is one that came at the bottom of the pile but someone always has to - hope you still enjoyed taking part, it was certainly good to see some fresh names entering this time around. I can't help but notice that the song was also last in the running order, too much of a coincidence? Received: Bronze from Jacob. |

Nick Hakim • Vincent Tyler • DalekTurret32 Next up it's Dalek's track falling out of the running. I quite enjoyed this one, jazzy influences are rare on Buzzjack so I appreciated the inclusion and I loved the way it broke down into the string section at the end Received: Silver from Blacksquare |

ViVii • Siv (You and I) • JJAAKKEE Here's our first non voter as Jake falls out in 37th, although the 20 points wouldn't have propelled the track anywhere significantly different in the end. Arguably this one didn't have quite the same impact as some of Jake's essential entries from past contests but I thought it was a nice enough track - something I think happens in UP is that the scoring being limited to 12 tracks in a contest of this size really pushes out tracks that don't stand out as much from the crowd. BIN-JIP • Heavy • Mattias Next to fall is Mattias, often a heavyweight in these contests but couldn't quite hit the mark this time around. Again I thought this was a nice enough entry that likely struggled to stand out sufficiently among the unusually high number of entrants... Received: No medals, highest was a 10 from Travis |

Unsurprisingly I gave Mattias anonymous points as ever albeit not quite as many as usual.
Shook that I'm still in tbh |

THIRTY FIVE • 39 points
Kardajala Kirridarra • Ngurra (Rain Song) • Rush The beginning of this track always reminds me of Count Duckula. Not sure if anyone else will be able to remember that, was it a thing in your eras? Anyhow, Rush falls next as his entry didn't quite connect enough with the voters - a shame for me as in retrospect it's one of the more unique entries of the round and I always like to see them do well. THIRTY FOUR • 40 points
The Dø • A Mess Like This • Leonardo Now The Dø were one of the bands I was already familiar with, they've been the subject of a few Trentemøller remixes in their time so I've always kept half an eye on them. This one was okay for me, maybe not up to the standards of some of their other work but it did manage to find a few fans. Received: Silver from Iz |
