Leaving us in this round... 40 Almost Home (11 votes, 7.43%) Excuuuuuse me?? 'Almost Home' only 40th?! This song was included on the 'Oz the Great and Powerful' soundtrack. It didn't perform well in most countries (for instance it didn't even go Top 200 in the UK), but it smashed in Belgium Wallonia/Flanders, so at least they had good taste! Critics were generally favourable about this single, citing it as a return to her sound of the 1990s. =38 You're Mine (Eternal) (9 votes, 6.08%) 'You're Mine (Eternal)' is the highest placing Wild Card, and I chose it! However I can't be too smug considering it only places in 38th! This single launched Mariah's most recent studio album 'Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse', which must be one of the most fabulously crazy album titles in history. 'You're Mine (Eternal)' performed modestly, including #87 in the UK & #88 in the US. The departure of 'Almost Home' and 'You're Mine (Eternal) means that the only representation of Mariah's releases from the 2010s remaining is '#Beautiful'. =38 Never Too Far (9 votes, 6.08%) Mariah's ill-fated, critically-panned movie 'Glitter' climaxes with a performance of 'Never Too Far' (her character Billie Frank performs it at Madison Square Garden during her first sold-out concert). When it came to releasing this single, Mariah was recovering from her physical & emotional breakdown, and thus was unable to film an accompanying music video - therefore the decision was made to use the film clip as its music video. 'Never Too Far' was modestly successful, going Top 5 in Belgium, Top 20 in Spain and Top 40 in Italy, the UK & Australia. =35 Don't Forget About Us (8 votes, 5.41%) We lost the first of Mariah's 18 US #1 hits in the first round ('Thank God I Found You') and the second to leave is 'Don't Forget About Us'. This song was her 17th US #1, topping the chart in the last week of 2005, marking the end of a highly successful year in her home country. =35 Make it Happen (8 votes, 5.41%) 1992 single 'Make It Happen' received positive reviews from critics, but its #5 position in the US Billboard Hot 100 marked the first time she charted lower than #2. It reached a respectable position of #17 in the UK, at that point making it her 2nd highest charting single here. Mariah performed this during her set at Live 8 in 2005. =35 Can't Let Go (8 votes, 5.41%) I'm gutted to see 'Can't Let Go' fall this early. I consider it to be one of her strongest "early Mariah" moments, and it's also one of Mariah's personal favourites (she mentions this in her 1998 compilation release '#1's'. One word: underrated. ----- This time, you can vote for up to THREE of your least favourite songs.
