We regret to announce that Elina Born has failed to qualify the country. This is the fourth DNQ from Hushkanukia... This mid-tempo ballad has some real moments (Once the chorus kicks in) and was truly believed to be their best entry to date. Perhaps voters were put off by the opening verse, or just because it was a balled

With the stress of hosting and counting up other people entries under our belt, Hushkanukia managed to come 13th in LXXIII! I am incredibly pleased with this and even more happy that the follow up to PVRIS managed to finish high top 20!

I would just like to thank those of you who voted for Hushkanukia and supported us throughout the contest and patiently waited and (hopefully) stayed calm during the things that did go wrong!

Had a listen to all of Daniella Mason's music today and I've listened to every song 4 or 5 times. They are literally ALL outstanding. How she's still under the radar I will never know! I wasn't sure how much other stuff of hers you'd listened to, but I'd highly recommend all of it and appreciate the discovery more than ever now!

BJSC 78 Update!

'On Fire' has finished at the rather disappointing 32nd place. It was also revealed that it came 3rd in its Semi which means Stefanie could quite possibly take Ashley Allens record for the biggest difference in Semi and Final results. Nevertheless, we have managed to get our 7th top 40 hit this year, which is fantastic! Thank you to everyone who voted

Ooh hooray at 'Because' getting some recognition here! My favourite D'yermak'er entry this year, pretty underrated.

Celtic Woman was a stroke of genius from New Lexico, it rarely left my head during the contest. The Dobago & FARC songs are pretty good too, 'Telescope' is the only one from this section I'm not keen on. Can't really recall it!

'I Do' is the biggest highlight out of those! It is pretty unorthodox with all the styles of music it incorporates, but it totally works. Avalonia's best entry of 2016!

'Free Somebody' came SO close to being the first Daehun entry I gave points to at all, but alas just missed out. The production is pretty great.

I did not get 'Tequila' at the time of the contest but it ended up growing on me an enormous amount since then! Such a beautiful song. Big up Finland.

'All Night Long' was a definite Yehesi highlight this year. Same with 'All For Love' being one of my Ashton favourites this year. I didn't quite vote for it, but it is good for what it is and turned out to be a grower. (Jack & Jack let it down a bit tho)

Allie X was a great start to winners in 2016. I knew the song beforehand from it being an Altyr potential last year; I was so glad it finally got sent at last by someone.

Bang Le Decks was such a fantastic winner. It was a shame I didn't quite get very invested into the Michael hosted contest that followed, due to being on holiday for most of it.

Girli is such a queen. A shame that 'Girl I Met On The Internet' didn't quite catch on in the same way as SYTYCFWMDY did!

K3 and KOLAJ were huge growers since the contest. I wish I had voted for them now! But they both did incredibly well anyway.
