Isaak wins!

There were quite a few decent songs in this selection, this was one of them - don't think it'll do amazingly but I don't think it's DOA either, and I'm sure Germany would take anything outside the bottom 5 right now.

Germany did its thing again with an average/repetitive radio pop winner that won't stand out among 26 songs, welcome back to last place again I suppose.

Anyway, I liked three and a half songs in this final - Marie Reim (<333), Galant (<33) and Ryk are welcome on my playlist and Bodine might get a pass.

But Isaak and Max as the top two is a no from me.

I think they elevate the staging. 22nd place isn't out of the question.

Thankfully, this is the last year of NDR‘s stint as the regional broadcaster in charge of ESC. From next year we go to MDR for a bit. Maybe Middle Germany will have a committee of people who weren’t alive during the war
