Sorry. I thought I would open this topic to discuss all the latest goings-on with the Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and La Liga for this season.
A shock result yesterday with Alaves beating Barcelona 2-1.
Does anyone watching any of the European Leagues?
That Alaves match was mental. Don't remember the last time I saw Barcelona's defence/goalkeeper so lacklustre.
A mistake and a converted penalty was not what Joe Hart wanted in his debut for Torino with a 2-1 defeat to Atlanta.
John Hart.
Mainz managed to lose a 4-1 lead to cling on to a 4-4 draw against Hoffenheim today. In Italy, Genoa v Fiorentina was abandoned and Roma v Sampdoria had a long delay, both due to torrential rain.
Another five star performance away from home for Barcelona.
Elsewher, Bayern Munich are off to a cracking start again (five wins out of five). In France, PSG have had a comparatively shaky start. They have already lost two matches, as many as they lost in the whole of last season. Feyenoord have six wins out of six in the Netherlands.
Quite a surprise yesterday with Celta Vigo beating Barcelona 4-3 there.
Yes they've had quite the ropey start haven't they by their illustrious high standards. Still only 2 points off the top though.
UK TV viewers won't be able to watch the El Clasico derby because of the TV blackout rule where live games can't be shown on a Saturday between 2:45pm and 5:15pm. The kick-off will be at 3:05pm.
Probably the most ludicrous rule ever, I can understand them blocking domestic games to protect attendances (or so they claim) but I highly doubt it makes a difference for a game overseas, unless it's because of something else...
It's not the first time in recent years that El Classico has kicked off at 3.00 on a Saturday. Certainly, the current rule can be said to be outdated nose that so much European football is shown. At the very least they could consider allowing a limited number of games per season to be shown at that time. If there is evidence that it affects attendances, then the rule can be reinstated. Of course, some will see a slight relaxation of the rule to be the start of a slippery slope.
Nice top of the league so far in Ligue 1 although it is early days yet. I expect PSG will win Ligue 1 again.
RB Leipzig, a club only formed in 2009, are joint top of the Bundelsiga after ten games. The RB stands for Red Bull which is where the money has come from.
They aren't that popular in Germany are they, RB Leipzig?
So RB Leipzig go 6 points clear following the 1-4 demolishing of Frieburg last night!
A last-gasp equaliser from Ramos to draw against Barcelona in the El Clasico derby today. Did anyone see the game?
Didn't see it, hate Madrid though!!
Borussia Mönchengladbach has sacked their manager
Good to see Bayern beat Red Bull FC sorry Leipzig 3-0 and go three points clear at the top of the table.
Even better to see Hertha in third place.
Yeh went to see Hertha in the Olympic Stadium in August - fantastic weekend out!
My sister went to see them a couple of weeks ago!
Fantastic ground - football watched the way it should be!!
I've been to see Hertha at the Olympic stadium a few times.
The stadium itself is fantastic - weirdly chilling though as you feel like you can imagine a nazi rally out the back with the big field. Also the swimming pool out the back is quality!
Tight at the top in Ligue 1 between Monaco, Nice & PSG there.
It's a very refreshing change for Ligue 1 (and indeed the other big 4 European leagues that they're all relatively close at the top). Guess it's the Premier League's turn to have a runaway winner this season.
Lahm has announced his retirement for the end of the season, a good player.
Very close in Ligue 1 between Monaco, Nice and PSG at the top. The top three covered by just three points.
Luis Enrique is set to leave Barcelona at the end of the season.
Who do you think will replace him?
The Sevilla coach I'd expect.
Or maybe Ranieri!!!
What was this with Bale:
Toulouse sack two players over a pellet gun attack:

Tight in Ligue 1 between PSG and Monaco for the title.
Nice guaranteed Champions League. For the first time in their history I think.
Amazing El Clasico there, both teams tied at the top!
Ramos is a dirty shite!
The fourth time Ramos has been sent off in the El Clasico.
Watching the DFB Pokal semifinal between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt. It's been fairly scrappy with some utterly gash refereeing. Think ref is a FC Köln fan
Eintracht started better and Gladbach were woeful in the first half, so didn't deserve to be level at half time. Since then they've bossed it. Better team in second half and in the first half of ET.
Good to see Monchengladbach back at the summit of German football again - remind me of Liverpool in the 70s, always played them in European competition lol
Got knocked out on penalties
Currently 10th in Bundesliga so no European football for us next season.
Bayern Munich have won the Bundelsiga in style with a 6-0 win away to Wolfsburg.
Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem has won their first major trophy to win the Dutch Cup final.
Pescara midfidler Sulley Muntari has been banned for a game for protesting against racial abuse. Apparently there wasn't fans who took part for action be warranted.
RB Leipzig will definitely finish second in their first ever season in the Bundesliga. However, they may not be allowed into the Champions League. Red Bull Salzburg, managed by former Brighton boss Oscar Garcia, have won the Austrian Bundesliga and Champions League rules state that two linked clubs cannot both enter the competition. UEFA will be investigating whether the two clubs' links with Red Bull are close enough for Leipzig (having finished lower down their league than Salzburg) to be disqualified.
For the first time, Hoffenheim have qualified for the Champions League.
Monaco have won the French Ligue 1 after beating St Etienne tonight. It ends PSG's run of four successive titles.
Bayern Munich won their 5th consecutive Bundesliga title today, and saw Philip Lahm retire today as well.
Congrats to Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid won La Liga for the first time since 2012.
Borussia Mönchengladbach Beat Bayern today and am so f***ing proud right now
