Replying to comments from last week:
Hey Pete! Rudimental #1!! I wasn't expecting that, I prefer the remix version of it though Feels Like Home & I Said Hi make for an excellent Top 3 Great for Tom Odell to get a Top 10 hit here, I'm not a big fan this this new song but I really liked Magnetised Great chart! I forgot about Not In Love! He was hardly memorable on it though Just noticed this too! Hope they can climb next week 92 [NE] The Rubens - Never Ever (ft. Sarah) (Pk: 92) That remix sounds a bit odd to my ears, although I guess I'm just too used to the original The Rubens have had a very large climb this week also Thanks Dexton! Hi Pete , Rudimental is one I need to check out properly by the look of it! Ditto The Knocks and Chromeo. Still a sprinkling of Eurovision about, and a few that everyone seems to like like Solo and Shotgun, though good to see Sigrid still in the top 10. Capital Cities will be one of the few new entries in my next chart (Ive been on holiday in Spain and heard nothing but oldies, except for Katy Perry album tracks and a couple of Hailee Steinfeld's I dont already know) ta for the Capital Cities tip! cheers! Glad you like Capital Cities! Eurovision slowly descending now, although Mr. Rybak has ascended slightly this week Thanks John! Faves: High Five Shotgun Love Like Waves Fuego Turn (I was lucky enough to get a copy of "Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life" on CD for 2.99 from an Oxfam shop) That's How You Write A Song Happy Man (I have that on 12" vinyl) Solo Storm My Lucky Day (That performance with the colourful clothes reminded me of Making Your Mind Up from 1981 in some way) Four Out Of Five There's A Reason Why I Never Returned Your Calls Nevermind Under The Ladder Beam Me Up Hunger Glad you like these - DoReDos certainly put on a memorable performance this Eurovision! Unfortunately nearly all the songs you mentioned dropped this week oops. Thanks Dalek Hello Pete! Nice seeing "Toast To Our Differences" and "Feels Like Home" both being top 2! Below top 40 favourites from mine are: 48 [35] Netta - Toy (Pk: 3) 49 [47] Arctic Monkeys - Four Out of Five (Pk: 47) 52 [NE] Whethan - Superlove (ft. Oh Wonder) (Pk: 52) 53 [60] Welshly Arms - Sanctuary (Pk: 53) 59 [69] Alessia Cara - Growing Pains (Pk: 59) 61 [53] Ramz - Family Tree (Pk: 48) 64 [41] Blossoms - There's A Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls) (Pk: 22) 65 [70] Bakermat - Lion (Pk: 65) 66 [NE] Tom Grennan - Barbed Wire (Pk: 66) 69 [50] Alice Merton - Lash Out (Pk: 14) 72 [56] Dennis Lloyd - Nevermind (Pk: 6) 73 [89] Alle Farben - Only Thing We Know (ft. YOUNOTUS) (Pk: 73) 77 [79] Jonas Blue - Rise (ft. Jack & Jack) (Pk: 77) 79 [43] Jess Glynne - I'll Be There (Pk: 16) 87 [80] Jain - Alright (Pk: 65) 90 [87] Florence & The Machine - Hunger (Pk: 86) 91 [93] Youngr - Lost In Translation (Pk: 87) 99 [72] Chromeo - Must've Been (ft. DRAM) (Pk: 32) Great chart as always! Glad you like these songs! Feels Like Home has taken a mini-tumble this week although TTOD is still going strong - Thanks Sergej Hey Pete! Feels Like Home in the top 2 (not here for that 'steep drop' tho Pete :/) I've heard Ride Or Die around a bit recently! It's quite a catchy bop tbh I see Birdsong entering just below the top 40 there, hope that can climb a bit I've been meaning to chart it for WEEKS and it's just never managed it in Great Chart! It's not as steep as it could have been although Feels Like Home will probably have quite a short chart run Birdsong scraped the Top 40 this week anyway and could still climb - Thanks Jeff Hi Pete, Solo George falling from its peak Good N.1!! George is an 'it' now is he? Solo just didn't hold up well for me either. Thanks Seltin Hey Pete! 2 [6] Sigala - Feels Like Home (ft. Fuse ODG, Sean Paul & Kent Jones) (6-2-) 10 [7] Sigrid - High Five (21-10-9-7-10-) 14 [10] George Ezra - Shotgun (31-21-15-10-14-) 20 [28] Belle & Sebastian - Poor Boy (35-28-20-) 28 [17] Clean Bandit - Solo (ft. Demi Lovato) (17-9-8-11-17-28-) 38 [24] SuRie - Storm (15-10-10-11-16-24-38-) Sorry not much I know. I absurdly adores the UK's entry to eueovision this year and as usual we did terribly lol. just gotten into Shotgun but I've never been a fan of George Ezra in any measurable capacity. good chart. Storm was great! We could have done so much worse as well Poor Boy sticks out like a sore thumb from that selection as well, glad you're into that - Thanks James! |

Hi Pete.
Was hoping for a Sigala topper but a #2 peak is not bad at all. Not too fussed on the Rudimental one though. From your new entries I like Axwell/Ingrosso, Gorgon City and Jax Jones. nice chart~ |

Hey there Pete
YES YES YESSSS at 'Birdsong' entering your chart this week I'm so in love with it at the moment, the mix of chilled vocals and housey production is exactly what has been lacking from my musical life lately clearly, as it sounded so refreshing on Radio 1. Another dancey new entry is catching my eye here, albeit not quite as chilled that is of course 'Go Deep' which was super catchy and euphoric from the word go! I'm so impressed, 'Ready For Your Love' was one of my favourite songs of 2014 but then nothing else they released was doing thaaaat much for me... until this came along, yay! Not heard your #1 yet my favourite from your top 10 is 'Feels Like Home' though, like with Gorgon City it's the best that Sigala have done in ages for me! Great stuff |

Hi Pete!
Yay at Martin garrix entering, the rest of your new entries I havent heard, though Ive caught snippets of Paramore and Jax Jones. Rudimental is fine on top, TBH I've never heard a bad track from them, some just grab me more than others. Remind me to check out the features of LP and Foster The People if I dont mention them next time! good stuff! cheers john |

Hey Pete!
The Rubens! Critically underrated tbh, but I imagine not underrated enough for BJSC? Hopefully more people will check them out soon - I mean I charted Amy Shark before anyone else did (and apparently everyone is charting her now) so maybe The Rubens are the next Aussie export Speak of the devil Don't Turn Around is a fantastic debut Should chart for me next week, I'm looking forward to her upcoming album also! Nice to see The Wombats with a bit of longevity, a remix was released last week (I think?) featuring Dagny which sounds quite nice. She's a female vocalist but sounds really great on it, her song with Seeb Drink About is nice too Great chart! |
