Is this likely to be a hit then? It seems to have debuted around the top 50 area of all major markets.

Okay it's a real shame 'Don't Go Yet' basically flopped because I think it might be one of my favourite songs of 2021.
What an absolute ANTHEM! (I know I absolutely dragged it on my first reaction) |

It's bizarre, it feels bigger than it performed. I heard it around a lot and it seems so well-known.

i thought that about this one... everyone seems to know it?
Wonder how diff it would have done if it featured a rent-a-rapper on it? I mean without being nasty, 90% of the GP don't know about her racist scandal so that's not the reason for her lack of success. |

(I know I absolutely dragged it on my first reaction) I know right, I still find myself whistling it and randomly bursting out singing it, when I went to Tenerife back in October it was everywhere and I couldn't get enough, despite also initially not being too keen. It ended up #44 in my most played tracks of 2021. |

Don’t Go Yet felt absolutely massive on first listen for me, I felt it was gonna be a long running top 5 smash, was quite sad when it didn’t go onto do that but I still felt it performed well and the GP were aware of it.
As for the upcoming album, I can see it being one of those projects what gets pushed back and then when it is released performs the way Zara’s Poster Girl did. I don’t know if it’s just stan Twitter being unkind but most things I see regarding Camila on social sites don’t have the most positive comments on there. I think she has so much potential and drive and for a time it looked like she was gonna explode big time (she kinda did in some ways) but I think her songs where she’s lead artist or without a feature may struggle. I do hope she can get some success again to what she did during her debut era though. This post has been edited by Jord: 10th January 2022, 05:13 PM |

. I don’t know if it’s just stan Twitter being unkind but most things I see regarding Camila on social sites don’t have the most positive comments on there. I've never saw an artist destroy their own career the same way Camila has. Havana was a global smash number 1, then she had a global number 1 album, a big top ten single with Never Be The Same....then she threw out Sangria Wine/Consequences/Real Friends remix randomly that killed her debut era and then she gets a second shot at big success again with Senorita being number 1 and she makes herself a joke with the Shawn relationship, tosses out about five singles for the Romance album in a short space of time, takes 2 years off while filming an Amazon Prime movie and returns by boxing herself into a niche Latin act with Don't Go Yet. I give her credit for attending classes to educate herself on racism though. |

She could've avoided all this had she just released 'She Loves Control' damnit.

yeah the problem with camila is the amount of random songs thrown out... even 'My oh My' seemed like a big moment that didn't really happen?

but throwing songs at random until something sticks is what 99% of artists do
and it did work for Havanna still think Camilla will rebound if her team buy her a good song or pair her up with some good songwriters |

all she needs is a latin-ey sounding song with a rent-a-rapper and she'll be fine.
whoever thought real friends, or any of the pre-singles from 'Romance' were going to be hits (bar maybe 'Liar') was an idiot. |

but throwing songs at random until something sticks is what 99% of artists do and it did work for Havanna She started the Romance era by dropping the Shameless video and sending Liar to radio, then releasing the Liar video while dropping Easy and Cry For Me and adding them to playlists, then she started performing Living Proof on TV and at award shows and dropped a video for it before moving on to My Oh My a few weeks later. I've never saw such a mess. |

I've never saw such a mess. She also had a huge promotion slot and chose to promote 'First Man' which was cute but... an interesting choice. |
