Today marks 5 years since 'Santa Tell Me' was released! The uptempo R&B song was included on the Japanese exclusive reissue of Ariana's festive EP Christmas Kisses. It experienced a slow start with its U.K. chart run, as seen above, but momentum has increased every year. It reached a brand new peak of #13 last year and could potentially outdo that in 2019. The accompanying video for 'Santa Tell Me', currently sitting on 178 million views, features Ariana and her friends dancing, laughing and exchanging gifts.

'Santa Tell Me' was a slow burner for me but overtook 'One More Sleep' as my favourite modern Christmas song a couple of years ago - I absolutely love it nowadays! Very feel-good and the ultimate highlight from her Christmas EPs. I wish it had been saved for Christmas & Chill as it feels like too much of a standout to merely be a Japanese exclusive for Christmas Kisses. My only qualm is that it deserved a better video! Here's to a top 10 peak this year.

I don't like it. It's boring and dull. We have bombastic songs full of talent like One More Sleep and AIWFCIY. Why listen to this over them? This borig song is benefitting from her popularity. It won't be as big this year as her star has started to fade.

I really like it!

I think it’s probably my third favourite Christmas song of the 2010s decade behind Leona and Kelly.

I can see it going top 15 again this year.
