Anyone else seen this on Netflix ? So good one of the best series I've seen in a while would definitely recommend it ! The trailer doesn't do it enough justice imo but here is one.

Finished this last night!! Absolutely LOVED it heart.gif be warned my post ahead contains SPOILERS so read ahead at your own peril!!

I was concerned at the start of the first episode that the Pogues wouldn't be all that likeable, but it wasn't long before they turned that round. John B was easy to root for as the show lead (and Chase Stokes... whew x) and I like that they explored the home lives of all four of them. JJ really tugged at my heartstrings despite being arguably the biggest idiot of them all laugh.gif the scenes with his father were really uncomfortable. Pope's progression throughout felt natural (if a little sped up towards the end), and perhaps I'm reading into stuff that isn't there, but I think there's JJ and Pope chemistry??? More than with Kie anyway kink.gif Kie and Sarah's relationship was a highlight of the show, and I HUGELY ship John B and Sarah, more than I ever expected to laugh.gif they're so cute together.

While watching I wasn't sure if this was something that could last into a second season, but the finale did a brilliant job of setting things up to continue. John B and Sarah will surely return, and the truth about Ward and Rafe will have to come out at some point surely - there's too many loose ends for this to end just yet! Props to Charles Esten for his excellent "love to hate" performance as Ward, and honestly, all of the main cast. Except perhaps Topper who wound me up for most of it.

Thankfully the response seems to have been really positive so surely a renewal isn't far off wub.gif

I've just finished watching! This is your SPOILER WARNING for the rest of the post...!!

It's another BRILLIANT season, it truly lived up to my expectations. The stakes felt high and I loved that the other pogues get tied in a lot more this time round, rather than it primarily being John B's mission. I love John B and Sarah as a couple and despite the rough patch in the middle, I was still rooting for them so much at the end. Topper felt very expendable this time, only really serving as a device to add tension between John B and Sarah, but I guess he wasn't exactly that attached to any characters other than Sarah and she had no other reason to include him in the action.

Pope was a complete joy this season, Jonathan Daviss was on FORM! JJ continues to be amazing and I really liked that we saw more of Kie's home life too, I really felt for her being torn between her family's kook expectations and her pogue friends. The JJ/Kie romance seemingly being set up is interesting, I think I like that more than the Kie/Pope romance (and Pope/Cleo perhaps coming??). Speaking of, Cleo was a brilliant addition! Would love to see her joining the pogues fully next season (assuming we get one).

Rafe and Ward were fantastic villains, Drew Starkey in particular deserves to be commended for his delightfully deranged performance as Rafe. I did guess the twist about Ward not really being dead, but it didn't dampen my enjoyment of the season. The finale was exhilarating once again, this show really knows how to do a high stakes finale. Loved the conclusion and I'm excited about what they've set up for a third season - pls be renewed asap!

Just finished the whole season (didn’t want to rush through it like last season laugh.gif ) I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said here as well . Was a brilliant series just as strong as season 1 filled with twist and turns . The two twists in particular regarding (SPOILER) .... Ward being alive and especially John B’s dad still being alive completely took me by surprise. I really like Cleo as an addition to the group also hopefully she’s there with all next series . I think season 3 has to be inevitable as well it’s done really well on Netflix .

Season 3 is out NOW and it was renewed for season 4 before season 3 even premiered!!

I have finished it already kink.gif couldn't wait any longer, and it was SO good. This show continues to be one of the most essential series around, and I'm so glad it already has a season 4 confirmed because the end of season 3 actually could've wrapped the whole thing up.

MAJOR SPOILER WARNING FROM HERE ONWARDS

There's only a couple of minor gripes for season 3 for me. I'd have loved to see more time on Poguelandia in episode 1, perhaps making the rescue the cliffhanger instead of being so early on. To facilitate this, a lot of the Big John scenes could've been cut kink.gif he wasn't as enjoyable a part of the season as I thought he'd be. I suppose they naturally wanted him to shake up the dynamic but John B felt far too removed from the Pogues for like, episodes 3-6. That said, his death scene at the end was touching and I loved how he finally accepted Sarah after she'd basically been the driving force in finding El Dorado in the end.

All of the main cast were brilliant once again. Chase Stokes excelled at portraying the obvious conflict John B had over his father's actions, and Madelyn Cline gave some of her best performances yet through Sarah's dilemma in the middle of the season. Rudy Pankow continues to be the shining star as JJ, and his chemistry with Madison Bailey as Kiara was electric, the scenes of JJ rescuing Kiara in episode 9 were among the best of the season (and omg I hate Kiara's parents SO much!!). Shoutout to Pope and Cleo's chemistry too, the latter felt like such a natural addition to the Pogues.

After he didn't feature in much of season 2, I remembered why I hated Topper so much laugh.gif love to hate, that is, because Austin North did a top notch job in playing his villainous character, while Drew Starkey was once again great as the unhinged Rafe even if he felt like a less integral character this time round. Ward became an even more complex character and I LOVED not knowing what his true intentions were at any moment, even when I was scared for the Pogues' lives...! The finale was reliably brilliant, this show really knows how to build to a tense, gripping finale.

Season 4 really intrigues me now, because this feels like the chance for a new leaf and a fresh start for the show now there's been a bit of a time jump and the characters actually have some status and money. Can't wait to see what comes but I hope the wait isn't as long as it was for season 3!

We're halfway through this and we're both finding this season incredibly annoying. There's so much about it that is just so far fetched and so far most of the plot feels entirely unnecessary and it's not fun to sit through in the same way as I remember previous seasons being. Not sure we're going to bother finishing this one tbh.
