"For You" is still #9 yet only #40 on BT40. James Arthur is only #29 on airplay too! http://ukairplaychart.com/uk_commercial/ Maybe the chart is only loosely based on all 3 elements rather than compiled scientifically. And maybe something dodgy is going on when certain records are higher than they can expect to be. So basically it's totally made up

I wonder if 'Budapest' will remain his signature hit or if 'Shotgun' or even 'Paradise' will be better remembered over time. Yeah I can imagine the Big Top 40 just being essentially made up, maybe primarily based on iTunes but they always seem to remove a few songs and add a few others as they please.

Bit like everything Queen did following BR which was class but that's what they're remembered for. (Prob a poor example but I was just using it as an example)!
