Singing in front of an audience again, it seems:
"Nicola Roberts 9th - 10th May 2019 In association with GF Entertainment We are thrilled to announce the lovely Nicola Roberts will be performing a medley of Girls Aloud hits, her catchy solo material and classic covers that have inspired her incredible career" https://www1.boisdale.co.uk/MusicSearchResu....aspx?sq=nicola |

Would have preferred a proper venue without waiters running around, bar noises and the smell of fish, but she was magnificent.
Set: Forrest Gump (Frank Ocean song) Fish Out Of Water I Say A Prayer For You I Untouchable Memory Of You Sticks + Stones (song unknown to me) Whole Lotta History (with the middle 8 from Call The Shots as intro) |

I don't mind anyone's opinion, but it's probably worth remembering that this set is not meant to be a "tour setlist", it's very much constructed (and all songs are reworked) with a fully seated venue (well, a restaurant) in mind, focusing on more emotional songs. Uptempo songs would be totally out of place, and the only appropriate thing about a song like Take a Bite in this setting would be its title.

By popular demand, here are some additional details after the second show (and having slept on it more than once):
- the song I didn't know (well the second song, I didn't know the Frank Ocean one either, I just found it more easily) turned out to be God Is a Woman, originally by Ariana Grande. It was suggested by, and on the first night performed with Joe Ross, former Girls Aloud tour guitarist and musical director - the crowd was much louder on Friday - Kimberley was in attendance for the second show |

So she's still not performing new music... it's so odd.. she's been teasing NR2 since 2013, when I met her last year she said it was done and coming and yet... here we are... nothing. What a bizarre setlist.

New interview with Nicola in The Guardian today, to promote her upcoming West End debut in 'City of Angels', which opens in March: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2020/jan/...e-shed-ever-met
How awful about her stalker ordeal, poor lamb. Glad she's OK and settled now. She's also working with Fred Ball who she worked with a lot on 'Cinderella's Eyes' but hasn't said anything concrete about a new album. |

I definitely heard Nicolas voice tonight.
I was 50/50 last week but within about ten seconds of tonight’s performance I knew it was her. And the clues too. The drum referencing her debut solo track! And another clue matched to her wanting to pass a sunbed law. |

Just had a quick sconce on ITV Player at lunch. It's her alright, I recognise her voice anywhere! Hopefully this will push her towards her second album if she does well on this.

Bee is so winning The Masked Singer UK.
It’s definitely Nicola as well! Cheryl even said in her TV Mag interview that she thinks it’s her (but then said Nicolas denied it to her but it was just to bluff readers) we know it’s her. |

I was just saying in The Masked Singer thread that I think this was such a good show for Nicola to do. It’s showcased her voice to the GP in a way what no other show could do and I’d be surprised if we didn’t get another album from her this year. She’s gonna get some deals after this for sure whether it’s theatre or a new solo album being announced.
I’m thrilled that she won though. Most consistent performer for sure! |

Just saw her on This Morning and she said she’d love to do something with Girls Aloud for the fans for the 20th anniversary in 2022! It just depends on where everyone is at when the time comes around. Here’s hoping!
