Donel was the runner up on last year's series of The Voice UK, mentored by will.I.am. His first single was 'Bang Like A Drum' which came out last summer but this is his second which was released last Friday and he performed on last weekend's semi final of the current series.
I really liked Donel on the last series and actually thought he should have won. It seems a crying shame that he seems set to be consigned to the 'Where Are They Now?' file because this is the sort of effortless R&B pop banger that just isn't done anymore. It reminds me of early Craig David/Usher! |

It’s a good song.
The Voice just can’t seem to produce a star though no matter how talented the acts are. |

None of them get promotion after the show! (other than Becky Hill. and that's really just features because she has an amazing dance voice)
I really didn't like Donel on the show last year, and none of his singles have done anything for me. Though I loved Ruti's cover of Dreams last year, she's just released an EP and will be performing on The Voice final tomorrow. |
