Dexton's Top 40 (03/04/2017) (Week 47)
Paradise continues to dominate, becoming the third song in my chart to notch a 4th week at #1 - following Rita Ora's Anywhere (4 weeks) and Justin Timberlake's Filthy (5 weeks, non-consecutive). Debuting at #2 (and being the third song in three weeks to debut there) is a song fresh from the BJSC, Flight Facilities's Need You featuring NÏKA. Another new entry in the Top 5 is Panic! At The Disco with their comeback single Say Amen (Saturday Night) (40-4). Panic! also enter the album chart at #3 with their previous album, Death of a Bachelor. Khalid & Normani climb to #3, and Blossoms hold on at #5. Years and Years earn their first Top 10 hit with Sanctify (21-7), whilst Paramore and Post Malone are back with their 3rd and 2nd Top 10's respectively. Paramore's Rose-Colored Boy (33-9) is the third charting single from the bands album After Laughter following Hard Times (#2 peak) and Fake Happy (#5 peak). Psycho featuring Ty Dolla $ign is Post Malone's first solo Top 10 hit after Rockstar featuring 21 Savage 'only' made it to #12, and Lorde's Homemade Dynamite featuring SZA, Khalid, & Post Malone went Top 5. Notable climbers this week are The Wombats' Lemon To A Knife Fight (16-13), Banx & Ranx & Ella Eyre's Answerphone featuring Yxng Bange (17-15), Taylor Swift's Delicate (22-16), Liam Gallagher's Paper Crown (27-17), MAX's Lights Down Low featuring Gnash (38-22), Shawn Mendes' In My Blood (37-22), and Eminem's Nowhere Fast featuring Kehlani (34-22). Shawn Mendes previously made a dint in my chart with There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back which peaked at #10, could he find himself a new peak with In My Blood, or his new entry Lost In Japan (at #34)? Shawn Mendes isn't the only returning artist, with Lauv's new single Chasing Fire entering at #29 - Lauv previously made it to #1 with I Like Me Better, so keep an eye on this space as he might be claiming his second #1 soon! Kodaline are also back with Follow Your Fire closing the chart at #40, Brother debuted and peaked at #9 here last year. New to the chart, however, is David Guetta who enters at #39 with his Sia collaboration, Flames. I'm not a big fan of David Guetta anymore (or at all) but Flames is nice and definitely sounds more circa-2014 Guetta than his later stuff which is all disappointing Sia previously charted here on Zayn's Dusk Til Dawn, as well as two of her Christmas singles. George Ezra continues to slay both charts, with Thanks for coming! Top 40 Songs (#47) 01 01 George Ezra — Paradise [23-6-1-1-1-1] 02 00 Flight Facilities — Need You (feat. Hi Dexton!
Nice to see Need You enter - it just missed my points but it is a great piece of music! That's quite a run for The Wombats - wonder if it can climb any higher? Yay at the new Kodaline making it this week after being under last week, maybe not as good as Brother for me but still really nice - hope it can climb! Great chart |

Hello Dexton!
Like that George Ezra is in your single chart and album chart at #1! That jump for Panic! At The Disco though! This song is growing on me big, could debut very high next week. Also I like the big gains for "Sanctify", "Rose-Colored Boy", "Lights Down Low" and "In My Blood"! Big debuts that I like that I've heard are "Lost In Japan" and "Flames"! Great chart overall |

Hi Dexton!
Great run at the top for George Ezra. I've listened to the album a few times now, it's really good, I'm glad it's done so well! Both Shawn songs are good too, 'In My Blood' took a while to grow on me but I quite like it now. 'Lost In Japan' sounds promising too. My favourite of your new entries is 'Flames', I love the 'go go go' pre-chorus bit (which is actually better than the main chorus lol). I know it's got off to a slow start chartwise but hopefully it'll pick up. Sia never fails to deliver |

Need You is really nice Almost #1 this week for me by Paradise took the edge, next weeks #1 is in the air! The Wombats might not climb much further but think of the longevity! I’m not sure if I prefer Follow Your Fire or Brother yet, although both are big step downs from their last era Thanks for commenting! |

I'm surprised Paradise is George's highest peaking single in the UK, although it's very deserving (and I actually prefer it to Budapest) In My Blood has grown on me a lot! Sia really makes Flames for me Thanks for commenting! Hi! Need You is great got really high points from me and should debut in my chart soon as well!
