Greece Maria Elena Kyriakou - One Last Breath (It's 10 years since Paparizou triumphed, appreciate *.*) The rumour du jour surrounding Greece at the moment is that Eleni Foureira will be representing them, as she says there has been "serious discussions" or something along those lines. |

Tamta or Shaya please.
This is objectively Tamta's best song. |

Barrice or C:REAL for me. Same - typical they're the only ones out of the running Barrice is sexeh, and C:Real actually are a really good group in a slightly MOR Ace Of Base way, I first heard of them in 2000 when their song With Or Without You was a bit of a club hit in Spain, showing my age |

I've listened to Shaya, Maria and Thomai and I do like all 3. My preference would be Shaya as we need a summery song like that in Vienna, we don't really need another female ballad even though Maria is really good. Thomai would be very interesting, I love the tempo change at the end - reminds me of Evdokia Kadi's 'Femme Fatale' a little bit.

The only way I can think to improve Ela would be with leather skirts.

Shaya's vocals aren't good at all, this is definitely Maria Elena's for the taking!

Maria is a class above vocally, would be a very good choice. My preference would still by Shaya in terms of having the best song, but I think the win could go to Thomai. Any of the three female soloists I'd be happy with!
I didn't hear 'Ela' as my feed stopped, but the 10 seconds I heard at the end didn't sound promising! |

Maria Elena wins! She deserved it to be fair seeing as she was the only one that could sing in tune for three minutes!

The preview video:
I sort of imagine this is similar to how Elhaida Dani's 'Diell' would've sounded post-revamp/translation, so I'm glad we had 'Diell' back sort of! It's a really good song and sung fantastically, it'll be interesting to see how Greece do with a ballad - especially in this ballad-heavy year. Maria won The Voice of Greece and she is from Cyprus, so follows in the footsteps of the likes of Anna Vissi, Loukas Yiorkas and Eleftheria Eleftheriou in terms of Cypriots representing Greece! |
