'Look at Me' was her finest hour, albeit one that briefly conned us all into thinking she was gonna essentially be to the Spices what Robbie was to Take That. And it also sounded a bit like Propellerheads' History Repeating.
Then the rest of her solo career happened and well...she wasn't the Robbie. Hell, she wasn't even the Mark Owen. (Having said all that, I did have a bit of a soft spot for 'Scream If You Wanna Go Faster' - single that is, not album. It was easily the most bonkers thing she did, but released at a time when the public were wearing thin of her). |
