Just thought with the new rules I'd start a new thread actually rather than carry on ORA stuff in Party & Bullshit's thread!

Yeah, that is a really bad cover
 The picture is good, but the weird effect on the outside, and the placing of the fonts is awful.

I actually don't mind the cover - it's a good picture anyway, the horrible font and awful placing do bring it down quite a bit though.

Yeah, I actually really like the cover too! I do prefer the deluxe golden version of the artwork, but they are both great!
Roc The Life is getting better with each listen too, I'm really interested to hear Radioactive and the studio version of Shine Ya Light which sounded great live! |

Thought I'd share this here as she has quite a different fanbase to Conor...
I am really, really loving this. I think I'm just shocked at how good it is, considering 'Can't Say No' got boring after a bit and 'Vegas Girl' is boring, but at the moment I'm proper addicted. Rita sounds a little different on this (her gruffness has gone, hasn't it, or is it just me?) but I love her on it. |

Clips now up on iTunes, sounds quite good actually, Radioactive should be another hit tbh, but it's pretty generic again. Sounds like a cross between Don't Wake Me Up and Titanium but I'm really feeling the clip!

Pretty sure Radioactive is the 2nd US single - I haven't listened to the clip, but if it is how you described it, it's a shame they're not pushing what actually makes Rita an individual and interesting artist over there, and just shoving the more generic tracks their way.

She doesn't have a very distinctive voice. Listening to the clips, she sounds very different.
Currently loving Roc the Life at the moment and looking forward to hearing the album in full. Radioactive sounds good. |

I like the way they're working with her. Yes it's all very generic and very safe, but I like how they're doing it this way. Hopefully in a couple of albums times we will all see how she's progressed as an artist and that she manages to somehow improve with each passing era. Very much like RiRi's launches. (Except skip straight to the 'A Girl Like Me' era.)

i hate these rita and rihanna comparisons because rihanna really is about 6 albums in and is the queen, whereas rita is just starting out and isn't gonna get all the control she wants right now
i'll wait for the 2nd album to judge her but i like the sound of radioactive. i'm a dance fiend, can't help it x |
