SLIPKNOT will take fans behind the scenes of its unique world with the two-disc DVD set "Voliminal," due Dec. 5 via Roadrunner. The first disc includes a 90-minute documentary directed by M. Shawn Crahan, which sports a different hidden vignette from each of the group's nine members. The second DVD blends live footage from a variety of venues with music videos for tracks like "Vermillion," "The Nameless" and "Duality," along with interviews with the band. Guitarist Mick Thomson previously told Billboard.com his favorite candid moment on the DVD involves an overzealous fan at a European show. "A fan, I think in Austria, was drunk and out of line," he said. "He kept trying to come up on the bus, kept bothering people and then started to get a little bit loud and threatening. He had to be set down on his ass by someone close to us. Sometimes you've got to be put in your place, and he was put in his place." SLIPKNOT has been on sabbatical for more than a year to allow members to work on other projects. Singer Corey Taylor's band, STONE SOUR, debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 in August with its latest album, "Come What(ever) May." |
