Whitney actually did a dance-pop cover of the Steve Winwood song of the same name (but it was only a Japanese bonus track or something like that on I'm Your Baby Tonight), I wonder if Kygo will be sampling/reworking that?

I believe it is that 'Higher Love'.
Interesting to see Kygo reworking a Whitney song anyhow. He did a great job with Marvin Gaye 'Sexual Healing' (to name another old song he reworked) so I'm sure I'll like the sound of this too. |

Not massively impressed with this - very generic for Kygo (even by his standards). And I'm not familiar with the original, so I can't compare it to that.

this is very nice, love Whitney's vocals
I never really liked the Steve Winwood original, but then one of my favourite indie singer-songwriters James Vincent McMorrow did an amazing cover, which made me appreciate the song much more |

I kinda wish it was just an all out disco-club banger instead. I just feel Kygo's sound atm is so dated and those "drops" just don't do much anymore. It's just boring.
I love that he's given us a new Whitney track though I enjoy this a lot until the drop. Gahhh.

I loooove this, probbaly just because it's Whitney but it suits her so well! These soaring diva voices tend to go so well with dance music and this is no different, it is pretty much the same Kygo but it's perfect for summer just in time
