Spices may double world tour
PA Entertainment The Spice Girls are apparently in talks to double their world tour to 50 dates. The band's website has been bombarded by fans hoping to see the girls reunited on tour, but extra dates could be difficult for the family-focussed fivesome. A source told the Daily Mirror: "The girls really want to do a huge tour but they're worried about how much time they'll be able to commit to it because of their families. "It's tricky for Victoria as she has three kids about to enrol in a new school and Mel B's daughter Phoenix would struggle with the schedule, too, as she's also of school age. "It's not going to be easy for Geri and soon-to-be mum Emma travelling with their tots either. Mel C has her solo career to consider, too, so they'll have to get her on board..." So far the girls have gigs on 11 dates, starting at London's 02 arena in December, with another 14 being finalised. |

Surely Victoria's and Mel B's kids would already be in school from September, so a December onward tour isn't a problem in term of enrolment

Spice Girls unveil new look
PA Entertainment The Spices have a new look The Spice Girls have unveiled a new grown-up look as they announced extra dates for their reunion tour. Instead of kicking-off in Los Angeles, Victoria Beckham's glitzy new hometown in California, the band will play their first comeback concert in Vancouver, Canada. Three new dates were announced as the latest picture of the band showed that Sporty, Ginger, Posh, Baby and Scary's trademark dress codes have been dropped for a more sophisticated image. But none of the extra concerts are on home turf, meaning that, so far, the band are still only playing one UK date, in London, in December. The band announced new concerts in San Jose, California, and Shanghai, China. The LA concert will now be their third performance on the 14-night extravaganza of six continents. The Spice Girls - who split six years ago after one album without Geri Halliwell who quit the band in dramatic fashion in 1998 - sold 55 million albums and had nine UK number one singles in their heyday. The five are now all in their 30s and have six children between them. Since launching their reunion tour last month, three million people - who can buy up to six tickets each - have registered to see the band. Fans can also vote for the money-spinning tour to come to their hometown. The band said: "We have just found out that we've had over three million ticket requests on the website. As our own VB (Victoria Beckham) would say, that is 'major'!" |

If they don't add more than one UK date, they deserve to FLOP when they comeback... they were most successful here and they are turning their backs on the uk

I hope they announce all UK dates before tickets go on sale. I can only go to one show, so I need to make sure I choose the best one ---- if they do their last date in London, then I want to go for that one, rather than December 15th show.

compare it to the SpiceWorld tour it's tiny, and that was mostly stadiums too
I can't see why the 02 arena is so great, when there's the chance for 62,000+ in Wembley |

mmm i'm not too fussed bout the venue in sydney......
its at acer arena,a nd its like 20,000 i think... there's other venues in sydney and even in melbourne that hold more... when robbie was at telstra dome he had 66,500 people..... so yeah i thought a WORLD tour/REUNION tour'd have at least 25+ dates! |
